Prologue
The night, the dark night, the gloomy clouds, the howling wind, obscuring everything, blocking everything.
"It's going to rain. β
The young man in silver armor, looking at the roaring sky, his eyes always fixed on the distant horizon, stood motionless on the marble steps.
"A storm is coming, please go back to the dormitory immediately, it's not safe here. The tall and mighty knight stood motionless behind the young man, with bruises on his forehead: "Bixia!"
"No matter how strong a palace is, it can't stop the thunder. The young emperor replied like this, but he still took the cloak from the knight's hand: "Is there any news of reinforcements?"
It seemed to ask casually, but the knight was shocked, and froze there, he was entangled, he wanted to say something, but he didn't know how to say it, so he had to lower his head.
"Cedric?" the Emperor called out tentatively, chuckling, "I'm sorry, I'm just asking. β
"No, Bixia!" Cedric immediately raised his head and retorted loudly, then fell to one knee on the stone steps: "I have sent all the cavalry to inform you that they are the best rangers......! But ............"
"But no one is willing to answer the call and send reinforcements, right?" the emperor was so calm that he seemed to be reciting poetry, and he couldn't even hear his mood.
"IβI'm ashamed of your trust!" cried the burly Cedric, with the roar of the sky, and the resolute face flowed with tears, overflowing tears that made him unable to open his eyes, and his clenched teeth were bleeding.
The Emperor gently patted him on the shoulder, pulled him up, gently wiped the tears from his face with his hand, turned around, and walked to the very top of the stone steps, with his back to him.
"The Holy Palace, the Imperial Capital, has stood here for four hundred years, endless glory!" the emperor looked up at the magnificent palace in front of him, with a sighing tone.
"Cedric, tell me, who did it wrong, me or them?" With a skeptical tone, the young emperor asked, "Someone has to be responsible for coming to this point, and someone must have done something wrong!"
"Probably it's really me, right?" the emperor laughed at himself and shook his head helplessly: "It's a pity, I still don't know what I'm wrong with! What will future generations think of me? A tyrant? A faint king? Or an unlucky bastard?"
"You're not wrong! it's all the crimes of those damned betrayers!" Cedric roared, striding up the stone steps and turning to the Emperor, "Those cowards, cowards who have broken their oaths and lived in secret!
The Emperor did not answer, but looked up at the sky, the gloomy sky obscured the burning golden flame, and small droplets of water fell from the clouds and smashed on the stone slabs, leaving watermarks one by one.
It's raining.
In an instant, the rain that was as fast as a river poured down from among the clouds, and the muffled thunder of "boom---" was intertwined with lightning, and the miserable white color was reflected on the faces of the two people.
"Let's go inside. The Emperor said, and without looking back, stepped over the door, and Cedric followed, gently closing it.
It was deserted, except for the columns carved with reliefs on both sides of the palace, echoing only the footsteps of the emperor and knights.
The emperor walked straight to the front, and at the end of the palace was a stone bed, carved little by little with fine carving, on which the young girl was lying, quietly, with her eyes closed, her tender little hands crossed over her chest, and her pale face was bloodless, like a sleeping goddess.
The Emperor slowed his pace for fear of waking her up. Quietly walked to her, with reluctant tenderness in his eyes, sat on the edge of the stone bed, wanting to touch the girl's green silk, but found that his hands were wet, so he had to take it back stupidly.
"Helena, my dear little sister, you are the most beautiful pearl of the Empire. He sighed and slowly approached her, "I'm sorry!"
"Your brother is not a strong man, he is too weak and incompetent to leave your fate in the hands of God. The Emperor held his forehead and smiled wryly: "Forgive me, my dear Helena!"
"Elendil!" the Emperor stood up and looked solemnly at the young knight standing on the edge of the stone bed, "Do you know what to do?!"
"Never live up to your trust, Bixia!" the handsome knight pressed his chest: "I will take the princess to the west, and if the empire falls, we will go to the north!"
"Remember your oath, Knight of Elendil. The Emperor nodded, and he looked at him again with a pleading look: "And, no matter what, no matter what, give her happiness!"
Looking at the young princess, with her angelic and serene face, Elendil lowered her head: "I will." β
"You leave now, immediately!" The emperor turned his head, he didn't dare to see that familiar face again, and waved his hand violently: "I have arranged for it, there is a carriage and four horses at the back gate, there is no enemy over there, you can go out from that side!"
"Bixia, Actually, ......"
"Hurry up!" the Emperor pulled out his beautiful sword from his waist, pointed the sharp tip of the blade at the tip of the knight's nose, and shouted hysterically: "No, to, let, me, again, look, see, you!"
The knight sighed, took half a step back, put his left arm behind his back, and lowered his head: "Yesββββββ"
Gently holding up the delicate navy blue dress, Elendil walked out of the palace quickly under the emperor's vicious eyes, with a memorable look, wanting to firmly remember the figure of the emperor Zuihou - the heroic posture standing with a sword.
"Zaijian, Emperor Bixia. β
"Pound ββββββ!"
The gorgeous gates were pushed open, and the wind howled in, carrying the wanton rain, and rushed into the holy palace that they could only look up to, making noise and roaring.
The Emperor stared intently, the small figure in the rain, motionless until it could no longer be seen. Slowly retracting the long sword, as if relieved, the whole person softened, staggered, and the whole person fell to the ground, and Cedric next to him hurriedly came over to help him.
βbixiaοΌβ
"No!" the Emperor pushed away his big rough hands, leaned his body with his sword, and struggled to his feet.
"Let's go, Cedric. The emperor clenched his sword and said softly: "Go and greet Zuihou for a moment!"
"Bixia, do you want to refuse?" Cedric was puzzled: "There are still many lords and subjects in the west of the empire who are interested in the royal family, as long as you go there in person, someone will definitely respond!"
"Of course I know, but this is the will of God, not how strong the enemy is, but that God wants to destroy me and destroy my family!" the emperor stood in the rain, letting the falling rain wet his face.
"Cedric, do you think I have a few months to live?"
Thunderbolt in the Clear Sky - !!
"Scarlet Scourge!" Cedric couldn't help but cry out as he fell to his knees in the rain!
"O heaven, O gods, why are you so merciless, why do you want us to perish, !!?"
He didn't get a reply, only a mocking thunderclap, resounding through the world!
"Stand up, Cedric, like a true knight, a true hero!" the Emperor roared in a low voice, "Follow me and accompany me through this zuihou journey!"
"I will follow you, to the death!" Cedric knelt on one knee and looked up at the emperor's face: "Until the end of hell!"
The emperor gently drew his long sword, the sharp blade of which made a crisp and pleasant grinding sound in the sheath, and then casually tossed the jewel-encrusted scabbard aside, letting it fall into the dirty puddle.
"Knock-knock-knock-!!"
The gate trembled, each jolt made it more vulnerable, and the chain that hung on it kept shaking, and no one would be surprised if it broke now.
The Emperor turned, and standing before him was Cedric, with his head bowed, and three hundred neatly clad soldiers, their heads held high, their spears clenched in their white palms, and their shields shining with black crosses.
"Knock-knock-knock-!!"
"We're going to line up here to fight to the death!" the Emperor's dull voice reached the ears of every soldier, accompanied by the terrifying sound of the door.
"We will all die here, and those ferocious demons will not leave any survivors!" The emperor stared closely into the eyes of every soldier: "No one will know that there was once such a group of warriors who fought to the death with the enemy at the Zuihou juncture! Their emperor stood with them and launched a decisive charge against the enemy!"
"Knock-knock-knock-!!"
"But! We are by no means in vain! Everything we do is to defend our mission -- to protect our families, to protect our brothers!
"Pande people, march forward!"
"Forward-!!"
With a roar, the knight drew his sword, and the soldiers raised their spears flat, moving forward step by step, waiting for a moment for Zuihou.
"Knock-knock-knock-!!"
Almost instantly, the crumbling gate was finally reduced to crumbles, and the demons wielding scimitar-wielding axes rushed into it, roaring and howling.
"Charge--!!!!!"
The silver figure rushed to the front, followed by the knights, and the roaring soldiers, desperately rushing towards the enemy's figure!
It is an epic, a hymn, the highest honor, the most haode reward, the most poignant legend, the legend of heroes!
Blood was flying, iron filings and corpses were stenching, broken swords and countless spearheads were stuck in the Emperor's chest, and enemies were scrambling for his accessories, armor, and black cloak. In order to compete for those exquisite weapons and armor, these resisters had to be torn apart, and the thick smell of blood could not be removed, and the sound of excited laughter echoed in the palace. They cut off the heads of all of them, piled them up into a hill, poured them with oil, turned it into the most splendid bonfire, sang and danced around it, sharing among themselves the spoils of victory, and the splendid garments that had not yet been stripped of the stained blood, still gladly draped over their bodies, and displayed them to each other.
The rain has finally stopped.
But where is the sun?
