Volume 2 The Triple Trial and the Awakened Demon Eye Chapter 48 The Secret Path in the Dark Path

On Saturday morning, the four of them woke up early and met in the Four Seasons Garden.

According to the plan, they will find out the secret passage first today. This is also the top priority for the smooth implementation of the entire plan.

After a brief discussion, they decided to go to the secret passage they had walked through first, because that secret passage passed under the Flower Demon Valley, and it was very likely that there was a secret door in it that led to other places.

As a precautionary measure, Frey briefly sniffed around to make sure that Mr. Winslow was not nearby before proceeding.

Moving the boulder away, the four of them each walked in with a magic lamp in their hands.

Frey was at the front, followed by Ellen and Cynthia, and Alyssa was last because she hadn't been in the area.

The four of them have a clear division of labor, Frey is responsible for checking the left, Alan is responsible for checking the right, Cynthia is responsible for checking the top of the head, and Alyssa is responsible for the feet. To make sure they didn't miss anything, they walked very slowly, pushing the stone bricks next to them with almost every step they took.

In this way, it was not until about an hour later that they finally reached the bottom, the slightly wider dark passage.

As the last time I passed through here, the magic lights on the walls were on, though probably due to the fact that some of the lamps had burned out of magic residues.

To avoid oversight, the four of them checked almost against the wall. But as far as the eye can see, there are bare walls, not to mention secret doors, not even a small protrusion.

They had no choice but to move forward with the last expectation. However, the result is still the same as before, and nothing was found.

Could it be that the secret passage is in another cell? The four of them whispered as they returned the way they came.

If that's the case, it could take a few more days.

Thinking of this, several people couldn't help but be a little worried, because there are dozens of rooms in the dungeon, and it would be really enough to find them one by one.

But just as they were back in the straight tunnel at the bottom, Alan made a new discovery.

The magic lamps here had gone out quite a bit, and almost all of them had gone out on the left-hand wall, but one of them was on, and much brighter than the others.

Alan seemed to have guessed something, and stopped to take a closer look.

"There's something strange about this lamp. Sure enough, Cynthia noticed it too.

"Hmm...... This brightness seems to have been added with solid residue not long ago. Allen said.

Sure enough, they walked under the lamp, and after knocking on it, they all found some clues, and it was hollow behind it.

"It's a disguised enchantment. Frey said and immediately dismantled it.

A dark hole appeared in front of them.

A few people used magic lamps to shine inside, and found that it was a dark passage that sloped upward, and the steps inside were not as neatly maintained as in other places, and there were no reinforcements, as if they had been built hastily.

"That's it!" Frey said with a little excitement after looking around, "if it's sloping up from here, then it's probably right!"

With that, he re-applied the Earth Listening Charm to detect movement from above.

Only this time he seemed to control the amount of magic released as much as possible, because Alan clearly felt that compared to the day when the two of them clashed, his feet only shook slightly when he used this magic today, and then there was nothing abnormal.

"It seems that he is more skilled in magic than his father. Alan couldn't help but sigh.

"No one!" Frey said hurriedly, and led the way.

The road wasn't long, and it didn't seem that they were too far from the ground, and they soon came near the exit.

This exit was blocked by a stone.

Frey carefully used the levitation charm to move the stone away, by which time Cynthia and Alan had already covered all four of them with a layer of disguise.

The four men climbed out one after the other and found the entrance to the valley in front of them.

The neighborhood was bare, littered with large and small sand and gravel, with only a few trees growing on the rock walls on either side of the entrance, which looked as if they were dead.

Probably because there is no sun today, the valley looks even more gloomy. A few people took a look inside and found that they could only see a scene of less than a meter inside, and then the light seemed to have been eaten, and it was pitch black, and nothing could be seen.

However, Frey had no intention of retreating, and took the lead.

In order to avoid revealing their whereabouts, they didn't even dare to light the magic lamp, and almost went in in the dark. It wasn't until they had been in for a long time that they finally got used to the dark surroundings, and they could barely see everything around them through the faint light.

The road is only about a few meters wide. As Frey's father recorded in his diary, the two sides were densely packed with wood demons, and they were constantly emitting eerie, high-pitched laughter. Some of the flower demon branches were still dancing in the air, which made them have to be extra careful not to touch them. Above their heads was a large expanse of lush vegetation, not wood elves, but it was they who blocked out the light, like a quilt over the valley.

Several people try to keep their breathing as light as possible so as not to attract their attention.

They walked slowly inside, and after walking far, they noticed that there was an unusually wide area, with nothing on either side, as if it had been specially cleaned, and there was something like a stone platform in the middle of the road. When they got inside, they found that not only were there no wood demons on either side, but there was also a semicircular cave on each side.

However, the cave was dark, and they did not dare to enter it rashly. Seeing that the time was not early, they hurried back the same way, fearing that something might happen if they stayed here too long.

It wasn't until they walked out of this valley that several people breathed a sigh of relief at the same time. There seems to be an inexplicable sense of depression in this, which makes them a little breathless.

Luckily, however, they were able to move smoothly today, at least not by the surprise of Mr. Winslow's sudden appearance.

The men moved the stone back to its original position, then re-cloned the tunnel crossing with the same camouflage and left.

The first step of the plan has been successful, and the next step is to wait for Mr. Winslow to appear.

They come here whenever they have time. Mr. Winslow doesn't seem to be in and out of the place very often lately, though, and there was no sign of activity for two whole days.

Until the evening of the third day.

At six o'clock that evening, after dinner, several people went to the dungeon as they had done the other day, hoping for something new, and Frey used the Ground Hearing Charm as usual. But no one expected this accident to come so suddenly and strangely.

I saw that Frey trembled after using the earth listening spell, and then his face suddenly became solemn.

"What's wrong?" Alan noticed his anomaly and quickly asked, "Did someone go in?"

But Frey didn't speak, but nodded after a long while, and said, "Hmm...... Someone ......"

I saw that his forehead began to sweat, and then he looked puzzled, and hesitated for a long time before slowly saying, "It's not just someone...... Still is...... Two!"
