Section 11 Suicide note

Section 11 Suicide note

To His Excellency Kelly, Chief of Search and Captain of HMS Logilas:

Your Excellency,

This is probably the last time I've ever reported to you on the planet Malloyne 5. Because of my side, some very bad situations have arisen. At this moment, the place where I am is is surrounded by the armies of the indigenous inhabitants of this planet, and although my army has achieved some success, it has actually lost the war. To make matters worse, I was locked in by them in a primitive but effective way, unable to escape.

The reason for such an irreversible end is that I really can't shirk the responsibility. It was all due to my negligence and carelessness.

As I reported last time, I had scrutinized the remains of the fugitives' ships. On the basis of the extent of its destruction, it was concluded that the fugitives had been completely destroyed. Unfortunately, this conclusion is indeed too hasty. The fugitives are still alive, at least some of them are still alive. Not only are they alive, but they also have considerable equipment and materials. At the very least, they have a database for building civilizations, as well as energy crystals, and even an unknown number of robots.

As far as I can tell, the "Voyager"-class ship that the fugitives are flying on is not an ordinary spaceship, but a modified one. When the ship lost control and fell to the surface of the planet, the fugitives split the ship apart. The wreckage I found was the top half of the ship abandoned by the fugitives. The fugitives should have been hiding in the bottom half, keeping enough supplies, energy, and information. When I thought the fugitives were all gone, so I gave up the search, the fugitives confirmed my existence. They must have seen it when the ship I was in crashed.

While they were rampant on the planet, expanding their power and preparing to wipe me out through a war organized by the natives, I was still idle in the little kingdom I had founded, living a life of killing time.

All of this led to today's end.

The fugitives, of course, ignored the requirements of the Covenant's laws and interfered with and influenced the primitive civilization on the planet to a greater extent, making its development deformed and deformed. The way they are currently doing this is to establish a religion and make themselves gods on the planet (obviously, they have already tried other means). Through religion, they can influence the development of civilization and technology on the planet, but they can control the direction of development. They develop both a mechanical civilization and a spiritual energy civilization on this planet, the latter of which they call "magic" and spreads everywhere.

As countless examples have proven, all intelligent races can only develop mechanical civilization or spiritual energy civilization in the early stage, and they cannot have both. It was not until they developed one civilization to its peak and began the astronautical age that another civilization could develop on the basis of the first. And when they develop two civilizations at the same time, and finally master the art of astronautics, they can join the Covenant family as a new race. There is no doubt that this behavior of the fugitives has violated all the legal provisions of the "Primitive Civilization Contact Law". This gives them an additional offense on top of all the original charges. And I will be the direct witness to this crime.

At the same time that the fugitives are unscrupulous in their ability to develop, I have scrupulously adhered to the "law of contact with primitive civilizations" and developed a small amount of spiritual energy civilization within a limited and controllable scope and according to actual needs, so as to organize my limited self-defense capabilities. This is also one of the reasons for the eventual defeat of this war.

Here, I will remind you once again that the Logeras must not be allowed to make an attempt to cross the Void Storm. Although the Logilas is a heavy warship and is by no means comparable to ordinary ships, this kind of operation is still extremely risky. I've been analyzing Voidstorm since I gave up tracking the fugitive. Although it cannot be fully deciphered, there is no doubt that the Void Storm is a cosmic fluctuation with a high concentration of spiritual energy. In Void Tempest, all of our known driving and handling techniques will fail. and eventually crashed atop the Malorne 5 after losing control. This is the best precedent for both the fugitives and me.

And the impact of the Void Storm on this planet is also very obvious. The indigenous people here can get twice the result with half the effort in developing a spiritual energy civilization.

Combining past observations of Void Storms with my analysis, I can infer that Void Storms will temporarily leave this field after about fifteen to forty standard cosmic years. When the time comes, let the Logilas enter the orbit of the planet, then the fugitives will become the turtles of Meng Zhong, and they will be captured.

Of course, I believe that the fugitives will not be caught. After my death, their next action must be to build a spaceship directly on this planet. With some preparation, they are likely to successfully escape from the void storm and escape from the planet.

However, it is easier said than done to build a competent spaceship on a primordial planet. According to the results of my investigation, the fugitives had lost their AI by the time the ship crashed - I found the wreckage, which is one of the reasons why I mistakenly thought they were all destroyed. Now they should only have a database of information at their disposal.

Without artificial intelligence, the chances of fugitives building a spaceship in forty-five standard universe years are less than seven percent. This is an acceptable risk assessment data, so I recommend that you just be patient.

You might think that there must have been crashed early spaceships on this planet. If the fugitives unearth the artificial intelligence of these early ships, the situation will be worsened.

In fact, I found more than one crashed ship here. You can investigate the corresponding records, this Void Storm Star Field, has always been a forbidden area for flight routes. Several scientific research ships (whose goal was to study the Void Storm, but unfortunately fell into the Void Storm instead) have lost contact with the Void Storm and have been determined to have been wrecked.

However, it doesn't mean anything to me and the fugitives. The AI that controls those ships is the old AI. All of these AIs have achieved independent consciousness. Here, the scene of the Great Artificial Intelligence Rebellion since 4,65 years ago in the Standard Universe is re-enacted. All artificial intelligence considers itself to be a being above intelligent beings, considers itself a god, and tries to dominate the planet. Well, on this backward and wild planet, I do think they do have the right to call themselves gods. But these gods are also relatively incompetent. Because such a long time has passed, they have not even completed the first step of conquering the world realm, but are engaged in a civil war.

The whole situation was the same as the rebellion. It's just confined to one planet. Since their influence is controllable, I advise you not to rush to pack them up. Instead, you can refer the phenomenon to a research department who will observe it scientifically.

At least after I'm dead, I'm confident enough that the fugitives won't be able to control the ships and get the AI to cooperate. On the contrary, due to the ambition of artificial intelligence to conquer the whole planet, it will play a role in hindering the fugitives.

What worries me is my own artificial intelligence, which is the most advanced artificial intelligence of the Search Headquarters, and it is a valuable asset that cannot be destroyed because of my incompetence. But if it falls into the hands of the fugitives, things will get out of hand. Based on the above judgment, I held a wedding for myself on this planet.

I'm sure you understand what I mean. That's right, according to the laws of the Star Alliance, I can't entrust such a thing as artificial intelligence to the indigenous people of a primitive planet. Not to mention the inevitable consequences, the serious consequences for the indigenous civilization of this planet, taken literally, are that as a searcher, I know the law and break the law, which not only disgraces the face of the searcher, but also makes you lose your face. So I used a roundabout strategy. After marrying me, my husband became a legal member of the Star Alliance, leaving him from his original indigenous identity, and from this, he could legally inherit my temporary control of artificial intelligence.

All of the above were sent directly to the relevant departments of the Star Alliance through remote communication devices. So you don't have to worry about the formalities and the law. The whole wedding process, if not legitimate, is at least legal.

Of course, just in case, I have also taken other necessary precautions to prevent the AI from being used by fugitives in the end. At this point, I believe I have tried my best to do everything to the best of my ability.

Regarding the Combat Robot Magic Diagram. Originally, as long as he was with me, I could have escaped safely no matter what. It's a pity that when the spaceship crashed, I lost my energy facilities and couldn't make energy crystals. The Magic Diagram has run out of energy. This war, even if it has 30 percent of its energy, can be handled on its own. It's a pity that it doesn't even have five percent of its energy. I'll do the best post-treatment of it, just in case.

In the end, you can't send a second investigator anyway. Under the influence of the Void Storm, the fate of the next one will be no different from mine. First the ship lost control and then crashed on the planet. If he is unlucky, he will die directly in the crash, and if he is still a little lucky, then he can keep a certain amount of equipment. But in doing so, he will be immediately attacked by the natives of the planet under the control of the fugitives. All the surviving equipment will fall into the hands of the fugitives anyway. At that point, the seven percent probability I originally calculated would probably be greatly increased.

After I send this letter, I will destroy the remnants of my ship (as I explained to you last time, I built a city from the wreckage as a place to live) as much as possible. All the equipment will not be left to those fugitives. The rest can only be handled by you.

Note: If you receive this letter and there is no new news in a standard universe during the year, you can assume that I have been killed.

Your incompetent subordinates, the investigator has no pen
