Section 2 Progress

Ashrufat took all the books out of his saddle bag. All of these were purchased before he entered the mountains, and in fact, any books that had anything to do with the greenskins were bought by him.

But looking at the thick stack of books, there is surprisingly little information in them, and there is even less information about the social form and living habits of the greenskins, and so on. Most of the books boast of the great victories of the humans and the Greenskins at war, and the rest is limited information from a very small number of Greenskin captives, as well as some absurd legends.

Ashrufat had read some of the books during his journey into the mountains, and the only information he could get from the books was about the green-skinned gods: Brother Gang and Brother Mao. But the only name recorded in the book is this name, and apart from these two names, it is not known what the image of these two gods is, what characteristics they have, and so on.

The morning was quickly spent reading, and Ashrufat read three books in one sitting, but there was no information he needed other than the news he had known for a long time, such as the belligerent nature of the Greenskins. Now, he even unconsciously doubted whether Carrie's plan was feasible or not. Can he really infiltrate the green-skinned society without his knowledge and successfully organize a green-skinned army? This should be no less difficult than an elf blending into the dwarves!

"Master, are you doubting the feasibility of my plan?" asked Carrie suddenly in an aggrieved tone.

"I have to be skeptical. "It's not a question of whether this path will work, but he hasn't even found the starting point of this road.

"Master, as long as we decipher the language of the green skin, and then complete the various preparations for the transformation, you can completely turn into the appearance of the green skin. On that basis, if you capture a goblin, won't you be able to get all the information out of his mouth?"

"Wait a minute, Carrie, you just said ...... ......Preparation for the transformation?

"I'm sorry, but you can't turn into a greenskin due to lack of information right now!" replied Carrie categorically.

Ashrufat suddenly felt the urge to bang his head against the tree. Maybe he trusts Carrie too much......

"However, the collection of relevant information has been largely completed. As it stands, it won't take long for you to mimic into a green skin. But before you can do that, you have to figure out how to master the language of the green skins. Of course, I can also provide you with instant translations. ”

"Let's learn the language. Ashrufat sighed. He remembered how it felt like Carrie was providing him with an instant translation, and the feeling of a foreign object being inserted into his brain was really uncomfortable.

......

I don't know why I picked up a pen and started to record the things around me. At first, it was probably because of the diary that Thomas left me, and I unconsciously had the idea of writing down the important events in my life.

Of course, I don't record things every day, but only those things that are especially important to me. Now that I think about it, maybe it was loneliness that gave me that motivation. After living alone in the mountains for nearly a month, I realized that I was in a sense a person who was afraid of loneliness.

I was a little apprehensive all this time, not because I was afraid of my own safety – but because I was at a loss for the future. Carrie's plan now seems a bit whimsical and completely unrealistic. I had no more access to them than the greenskins, abandoned camps, and tattered corpses. But I'm pretty sure they are by no means hospitable hosts. I'm not sure if the two Greenskins will fight each other, but I'm sure it's a far more likely than the others. The battlefields I have been exposed to during this time are the best proof of this.

Today is more than ever. I witnessed a small but fierce civil war between the Greenskins. Dozens of orcs fought frantically with machetes, axes, and spears, and the victor mercilessly killed all the opponents who were still panting, and then cut off their heads to use as decoration. I think so because the leaders of them just stuck those bloody heads into the pointed shelves behind their backs and showed them off to each other.

The rest of the corpse immediately became sputum to Scrooge. This shows why the corpses of every battlefield I have found in the past have always been so tattered and mutilated. There is a book that says that Greenskin has a habit of eating the corpses of the losers, but this does not seem to be the case. But I believe that if they are hungry, they will not hesitate to eat the corpses of their own kind, and this will definitely not cause them any psychological burden.

However, what exactly is a green-skinned staple is still a mystery. They will occasionally kill and eat Scroog, but it is clear that Scroog's primary use is for combat rather than for food. They also hunt some wild animals, but I'm sure there is no "peasant" class among the greenskins. Orcs are all warriors, and goblins are craftsmen in addition to warriors, and they neither grow nor herd (with the exception of Scrooge), so how can they feed such a population?

Also, today I found another kind of green skin, a very dwarf green skin. Some books say that this kind of green skin is called "dwarf". Their fate seems to have been better, as some of the dwarves on the defeated side were trampled to death and some were eaten by Scrooge (because they were gathered together in a daze), but the rest of the dwarves were gathered and taken away. Maybe this green skin has something to do with food, but I'm not sure.

In short, there are still too many puzzles about the greenskins, and everything is still unknown. It is unimaginable that there have been so many wars between humans and the Greenskins, but so little is known about them.

Carrie told me that preparations for disguised as greenskins were in place, and that only one thing was missing, and that was a fresh greenskinned orc's head. Since Greenskin has a penchant for decorating his head, I'm afraid I'll have to get a greenskinned head myself.

With that, I can start trying to blend in with the greenskins. But would a greenskinned tribe really accept a strange orc to join, and an orc with no common sense at all? I think it's much more likely that they'll fight each other. Carrie agrees, suggesting that I should find a smaller tribe, preferably one with no more than a hundred greenskins (the fewer, of course, the fewer, the better). That way, in the unlikely event of any further force, I can carry out a backup plan - capture a goblin and interrogate it.

———— Ashrufat

Looking out from where he was hiding, he could clearly see the group of greenskins advancing.

The group of greenskins marched along the mountainside, numbering between ten and twenty. Because their skin is the same color as the trees, it is difficult for Ashrufat to determine their exact number.

If this is an independent tribe, then the size of this tribe is really small, but if it is said that this is a detachment sent by a certain tribe, then they carry too many things. Ashrufat saw some goblins in the greenskins, several carts carrying goods, and a large wild boar. There is no doubt that this boar is the leader's mount.

"Master, you should get your hands dirty. Carrie was urging. Ashrufat knew that he should kill the greenskins and get the last thing he needed for his transformation, which was the head of an orc.

However, the small tribe in front of him was the ideal target for Ashrufat's next move. Such a small tribe was the most likely to accept a strange orc group, from which Ashrufat would be able to obtain the information he craved. It only takes a day or two for him to get answers to a lot of questions.

Maybe it's better to keep them, but it's more likely that two or three days later (or even two or three hours later) this little greenskin tribe will be defeated and wiped out by another greenskin tribe, and everything will be in vain.

Ashrufat weighed it in his mind, and finally he felt that it would be better to complete the disguise preparation that Carrie had promised first, because he needed some time to judge whether his transformation disguise was similar enough. Honestly, now he feels that Carrie is not entirely trustworthy in some ways.

The greenskins didn't know that they had been targeted. In fact, the members of this small tribe were immersed in an atmosphere of depression at the moment, and had no extra leisure to think about anything else. Especially their leader, the Broken Tooth Boss.

Just the day before yesterday, the Broken Tooth Boss had more than 500 men, and he was also a figure in the surrounding area, and even wiped out another Greenskin tribe three days ago. But yesterday's battle completely ended it all. The sworn enemy of the Broken Tooth Boss, the One-Eyed Boss, raided the Broken Tooth Boss's team. By the time Broken Tooth and all his men rushed forward to take out the raiders, the One-Eyed Boss unleashed his secret weapon, a whole squad of spider cavalry.

The Spider Cavalry suddenly emerged from behind the Broken Tooth Boss. Realizing that he had been flanked from the front and rear, Broken Fang's forces immediately began to rout, and the goblins took the lead in escaping from the battlefield.

The Boss of Broken Teeth relied on his mount, that is, the speed of the big boar, to fight his way out of the encirclement. But his tribe was all gone! his boy, his wealth, and the spoils of his battles were gone. Now his men could count on ten fingers, and more than half of them were goblins.

The goblin-pulled cart in the back slammed into a rock, and a barrel on top of it began to shake and scream.

At another time, in another place, maybe the old man with broken teeth will laugh at this scream. Because this is his pride - the inner wall of the barrel is embedded with spikes, and any shaking or shaking will bring a "wonderful" painful experience to the prisoners inside. It's no secret that these goblin vehicles don't think about suspension at all.

"Shut up, or I'll skin you alive!" Broken Tooth roared, and the screams in the barrel immediately stopped.

The Broken Tooth Boss looked at his dejected men. Maybe it's time to do something about it? If it goes on like this, while he sleeps, the goblins will flee with the rest of the supplies. Then the last two remaining orcs will do the same. Every Greenskin likes the boss who can lead them to victory, and when a boss keeps winning, there will be hordes of Greenskins who come out of nowhere to join the victor (especially if he is willing to take prisoners). In the same way, when a boss keeps failing, his men will abandon him at the same speed.

But with this little of his subordinates, the Broken Tooth Boss knew that he couldn't win a victory to boost the morale of his subordinates. Maybe it's time to lead them to a more powerful boss. The problem is that in this way, the boss of the broken tooth is no longer the boss, but can only become a small boss. No orc likes this kind of thing.

He was still in a dilemma, and it wasn't until there was a scream from his men that the Broken Tooth Boss realized he had been attacked.

There was only one attacker, and it was not a greenskin. This is what the old man realizes after the broken tooth head leaves his neck.
