Chapter Seventy-Two: The Party
Updated: 2012-08-06
The black shadow cut through the light, but it was blocked by the shield of flames. Sorren swept to the left with his shield, pressing the sharp scissors of the Shadow Killer against the wall. The blazing flame spear in his right hand was handed forward and stabbed through the heart of the monster. The flame spear castrated and drove straight into the ground.
The Rope Gun let go of the flame spear and jumped back, and the Shadow Killer, pierced by the Elemental Spear, began to burn from the inside of his body. The high-temperature flames unleashed by the Elemental Spear engulfed the monster's corpse in an instant, transforming it into a second charred corpse after 5 minutes.
The entire corridor was filled with thrilling cracks and scorched earth, and there were even embers burning in the lines of the floor and walls, the marks of Sauron's battle with the two Shadow Slayers.
On Sauron's body, the Scarlet Knight's uniform was torn in many places, and there were blood stains in these places. The flame armor at the elbow of his right hand was directly shattered by a Shadow Slayer's counterattack before he died, and Sauron was even taken with him a piece of flesh and a faint arm bone. The handsome face was full of exhaustion, and close combat was not the strength of those with Elemental Domain abilities, even though as a blood rider, no matter what ability they were, they had undergone regular melee combat training.
Looking around the scene with a frown, Sauron felt that the danger of Zero had to be revisited. The traps he laid out were hugely targeted, and it was a good idea to have two nimble and agile Shadow Killers in a cramped environment to deal with himself who was not good at white soldiers. Sauron began to think that maybe he should just kill Zero.
A strong retinue is good, but it's no fun when the retinue is enough to threaten the life of the master, and Sauron doesn't want to have a dog that will bite the owner to death. As a result, the killing intent began to spread in his heart.
He no longer climbed out of the window, but honestly walked up the stairs to the first floor. After reusing the elemental armament and placing a defensive field in front of him, Sauron walked out of the building. He had to be cautious, Zero had only fired one shot at him during the whole process, but that shot contained too much information. The accurate calculation of human nature and bullet points made Sauron feel cold.
Outside the building was quiet, and the light from the camp came from a long distance, but was obscured by overturned cars and other obstacles. Sauron suppressed the moving thought of returning to the camp, and if he went back now, it would be tantamount to bowing to the muzzle of Zero's gun. Sauron's pride and dignity did not allow him to do so, and if he did, his retinue and soldiers would have different intentions, and even affect his status in the family or among the Scarlet Knights.
In turbulent times, strength represents everything! Strength overrides everything!
Sauron's gaze pierced through the darkness of the night, through the myriad shadows of the building. All the images were frozen in his mind, and in contrast, he, who was trained in reconnaissance, was trying to find the location of Zero.
Now he wouldn't be naïve enough to think that Zero was still in the sniper position, that the other party was as cunning as a fox, and that it was impossible for Sauron to catch a live target. But it didn't matter, in the shot Zero fired at him, Suo Gun really felt his murderous intent. If it weren't for this killing attempt, Sauron wouldn't have found out in advance. Even if he doesn't get a headshot from Zero, he will be shot and injured, and those two Shadow Killers will kill him.
And as long as Zero has a killing chance against him, then he will act again. Sauron assured that the second shot would be when he was killed.
However, Sauron seemed to be the only living creature in the night.
A faint roar came from the ruins in the distance, and the ground began to shake slightly. Sauron tightened his brows, estimating from the frequency of the earth's shaking, something that can cause such a vibration should be quite a lot of volume, and it has a specialty in liliang. These conditions and zero data do not meet, in other words, other organisms are active.
Judging by the frequency and strength of the tremors, the behemoth was coming in the direction of Sauron. When he came to this conclusion, a car flew towards him in the left block.
Sauron didn't move, but a red light flashed in his eyes. The mid-empty car exploded on its own, and the wreckage and shards of glass flew and splattered with flames, but none of the shards could get close to Sauron.
In the firelight, a giant approached with a copper hammer wrapped around the chain. The giant's head was covered by an iron helmet welded into a triangular shape, and a half-meter-long spike drilled out of its nearly three-meter-tall body. Rather than being born with them, the metal objects were forced into the body, turning the giant into an iron hedgehog.
Two holes were opened in the triangular iron mask, and inside, the crimson eyes were swirling, and Zuihou landed on Sauron's body.
"Butcher?" Sauron unexpectedly revealed the identity of the giant, and it was not uncommon for a butcher to appear in an area where there were living corpses. Strangely, the butcher's appearance was so coincidental that it reminded Sauron of Zero again.
In addition to the butcher, the sound of breathing of varying degrees was constantly heard in the surrounding neighborhoods. Living Corpses, Shadow Slayers, Scavengers, Iron-toothed Rats...... One after another, the monsters in the ruins arrived, making Sauron, in the center of the block, a target for everyone.
Sauron's anger ignited at once, and he shouted angrily, "Zero, you're still not a man. If you have a kind of heads-up, don't have a monster party!"
As the words fell, the concrete floor under Sauron's feet suddenly shattered. A bullet struck him at his feet, splattering countless limes and making Sauron's face pale.
Zero's meaning was obvious, he would not show up, but he had no intention of leaving. The monster that he didn't know where to attract would become cannon fodder for Zero to deal with Sauron, and he himself hid in the shadows, and when Sauron showed his flaws, he surprised Sauron like a shot at his feet. It's just that the next bullet point shouldn't be on the ground, but somewhere on Sauron's body.
This invisible threat is far heavier than the monsters that surround Sauron. Sauron gritted his teeth in anger, but there was nothing he could do about it.
The battle unfolded without warning.
The butcher, with an inexplicable hatred for humanity, first had it attack Sauron. The giant strode up with the hammer, and the butcher jumped high about three meters from Sauron. It picked up the brass hammer and hung it down at Sauron on the ground without any skill.
The butcher is capable of opening mountains, and Sauron is not naïve enough to think that the flame shield that can block the Shadow Killer's sharp scissors will be able to perform miraculous feats again. With a sideways movement, Sauron retreats several meters, allowing the butcher's sledgehammer to smash to the ground. The ground shook violently, and the cement fragments that jumped up were nearly a meter long and wide. With a wave of his right hand, Sauron's flame spear burst through the air, turning into a stream of flame heat that passed through the obstacle and landed on the butcher's body, instantly turning the giant into a large ball of fire.
Sauron didn't stop, and the flame shield in his left hand was turned back a square, and there was a sharp grinding sound immediately, but it was blocking the sharp hand knife of a sneak attack of the Shadow Slayer.
More monsters were pouring up from the corners of the block, and Sauron gritted his teeth, ready for a bitter battle.
But at this moment, the sound of machine guns rang out. However, the overwhelming barrage did not fall on Sauron, but instead strafed the monsters around him. Sauron didn't need to look to know that it was his own soldiers who had arrived, and although he didn't have to fight alone, Sauron's face couldn't have been worse.
