Chapter 11: Jizo Bodhisattva

When he heard that Jin Qiaojue, a monk with a good practice, had come to Jiuhua Mountain, he was very happy, and hoped that this monk could become the hundredth monk to participate in the fasting meeting.

Min Gong made a wish to the Buddha and Bodhisattva in his heart, as long as the monk can come, I can agree to any wish.

On the auspicious day of July 30, Min sent his son to invite monks to attend.

The monk knew that the opportunity was ripe and came to the appointment.

When Min Gong saw the monk coming, he stepped forward to bow and said his wish, "If the master does not dislike it, please come to the humble house often in the future."

The monk agreed, and said to Min Gong: "The poor monk has come here for many years, practicing and living, and today he comes to your mansion except for fasting, not for the fate of the fate, but only for the place where the robe is practiced."

Min Gong replied with a smile, "This Jiuhua Mountain is my family property for a hundred miles, Master just looks at where to go around, I am willing to support Master."

I saw the monk chanting the mantra, taking off the robe, throwing it casually, and suddenly the glow was ten thousand ways, and the robe covered the ninety-nine peaks.

Min Gong was shocked, knowing that he was a monk, so he bowed to the ground, and even said, "I don't know that the monk has arrived, and I am willing to dedicate ninety-nine peaks to the Buddha and Bodhisattva." ”

Min Gong invited the monk into the house, and passed on the son to bow, and was taken in by the monk as an apprentice, and his legal name was clear.

Later, Min Gong also became a disciple of the Bodhisattva and became the first lay disciple of Jin Dizang.

According to the Buddhist rule of "advanced mountain gate is long", Daoming is the senior brother of Min Gong.

This monk is the reincarnation of the Bodhisattva of the Golden Treasure, so the statue of the Golden Hidden Treasure enshrined in the Body Hall on both sides is Daoming on the left, and Min Gong on the right.

This is the story of "Min Gongshidi" that has been passed down for thousands of years in Jiuhua Mountain.

Under the light of the Buddha, the dogs instantly stopped their paws and looked at the three envoys in a daze.

The great god Puba stood up and bowed to the Bodhisattva.

But seeing that the Bodhisattva smiled slightly and gently raised three fingers to him, the great god Purba spread his wounded back wings and flew away into the distance.

I immediately knelt down and kowtowed to the Bodhisattva.

After Shakyamuni Buddha Nirvana, Maitreya Buddha has not yet been born to preside over the Dharma, and the Buddha realm is temporarily managed by the Bodhisattva of the Earth.

I heard that there are too many people going to hell now, and the underworld is overcrowded, and the Bodhisattva is still anxious about where to increase the area of the underworld, but I didn't expect that I am a very ordinary believer, but when there is a great crisis, the Bodhisattva still comes.

I thought to myself, these dogs, this time we should be honest!

Unexpectedly, a tall and superb Tibetan mastiff shook its body and rushed towards the Bodhisattva with a big grin, and other dogs also swarmed up, and the dog's barking instantly began to deafen again.

But at this time, the Bodhisattva's left support, the Daoming monk, rushed to the front with an arrow step, and with a stick of Zen stick, this superb Tibetan mastiff turned into meat puree.

Min Gong, the right protector of the Bodhisattva, also opened his bow left and right, kicking the mad dogs that rushed into the air everywhere.

However, the number of dogs is still increasing, and the response with the support of the two is still useless.

A pitbull jumped up and bit directly at the Bodhisattva.

The Bodhisattva's mount, Di Ting, stood up and pinched the puppy's bit with one paw.

The Bodhisattva has been meditating with his eyes closed on his back and reciting the scriptures, and the impact of Little Bit did not move the Bodhisattva at all, which shows the depth of the Bodhisattva's cultivation skills.

At this moment, I heard the Bodhisattva sigh softly, and slowly raised the Mani bead with his left hand.

As soon as I saw this action, I immediately understood that the Bodhisattva was about to make a move!

Sure enough, after the Mani Pearl was raised, the eyes were instantly white, like an atomic bomb exploding, making people unable to open their eyes.

After a while, the Bodhisattva picked up the tin staff in his right hand and gently tapped the ground three times, and the floor of the courtyard outside instantly collapsed, revealing a huge hole in the depths of the dogs, and the dogs and their corpses fell into it instantly.

This cave is nothing else, it is the entrance to the underworld.

The Bodhisattva knocks on the ground in order to open the gates of hell.

I thought to myself, this is the difference between a big god and a small god.

The great god never fights back and forth to deal with the enemy, and it takes physical strength to fight, and it is easy to solve it with one action.

But seeing that this black hole was dark and deep, there was a strong musty smell at the entrance of the cave.

You can still see many skeletons struggling to crawl towards the entrance of the cave, trying to escape from the underworld, but after every few steps, they will slide back to the same place, and when they reach the entrance of the cave, the wall of the cave will suddenly stab steel guns, poking bones into pieces.

---------。

Just as I was in the mood for a look, I suddenly jumped out of bed with a ringing phone.

I wiped the sweat from my forehead, it turned out to be a dream.

took the phone and looked at it, and it was Yu'er calling.

On the phone, she told me with a crying voice that Uncle Li is gone!

Yes?!

Where did it go?

He's gone to heaven.

Immediately before my eyes, this scene came to mind:

At sunset, a rickety old man was pulling by the garbage can.

No one knows where he came from and what his past was?

only knows that his surname is Li, and young people call him Uncle Li.

Uncle Li has a pleasant face and a Buddhist face, but you won't believe it if you kill him, he used to be the deputy mayor of a certain city before he retired.

I asked Yu'er, where are you now?

She sobbed and told me intermittently that it was downstairs in Uncle Li's residential area.

The reason why she was sad was because when she found out that Uncle Li had passed away, Uncle Li had been lying alone at home for more than a week, and his body was stinking.

Uncle Li is an elderly person who lives alone, and he is also one of the volunteers that Yuer and I do.

Yu'er felt that she was at fault and didn't go to visit Uncle Li in time.

I comforted her and said, don't blame yourself, we can't take care of so many elderly people who live alone, right?

You wait, I'll come right over!

Sitting in a taxi, I thought, "Elderly people living alone, this is probably one of the big criticisms of urbanization."

Urbanization certainly has its commercial benefits, but it also comes with many problems, such as left-behind children, housing prices, transportation, environmental pollution, health, fitness, social ethics, and so on.

The elderly who live alone, even in a certain island country with a very developed social security and pension mechanism, is a thorny problem, and it is still impossible to avoid the things that no one finds out at home after a long time, let alone us.

Countless people are thinking about this topic, but they have never been able to find the most ideal solution.

I remembered that on a sunny afternoon, Yu'er and I were drinking tea and chatting at Uncle Li's house.

Interacting with the elderly is always a life-saving bonus.

When talking about people's lives, Uncle Li sees it very clearly.

He said, I think when I was the deputy mayor, I would be followed by people at any time, and my ears would be filled with pleasant words all day long, but when you retired, how many real friends would you have?

After retiring, Uncle Li finally decided to leave the hypocritical city and come to the suburbs of Beijing to rent a house and live a clean life.

Purity is purity, but loneliness and loneliness also come.

Uncle Li was widowed in his early years, and only one son became an idler because he was busy with work and neglected to discipline, and he would only reach out and ask for money every time he came back.

So Uncle Li didn't want to tell his son the address after he moved, and he didn't want to see this evil obstacle.

Uncle Li decided to find something to do to pass the time, and finally decided to pick up the garbage.

He said that he used to be a parent official, and now although he has retired, he still has the feelings of a parent official, and only this is the most suitable thing to do, and at the same time, he can better understand the people's feelings.

Deputy Mayor - Scavengers.

The contrast of life and the silhouette of the sunset really make people have mixed feelings.

When I arrived at the community, Yu'er was sitting alone on a stone chair in a daze.

She told me that the body had been pulled away.

She said that it is unimaginable that Uncle Li, who was drinking tea and chatting together a few days ago, said that it was gone, and it became a pile of stinky meat.

Life is so fragile.

I comforted her that birth, old age, sickness and death are natural laws, and everyone can't escape, including you and me in the future.

And the body is nothing but the dwelling place of the soul.

The popular celestial burial in Tibet is not to destroy the body as soon as possible so that the soul can ascend to heaven.

She nodded.

said, it is hard to imagine the transformation of a former deputy mayor to an old scavenger.

In the days when he was picking up waste, he would definitely think of those glorious pasts, and then look at his own present, how much psychological endurance is needed!

I said, yes!

In fact, Uncle Li can not do this, his pension is enough for him to live a worry-free life.

What he really needs is a warmth of the world.

From another point of view, Uncle Li is a good person, and his actions can be understood as a kind of cultivation.

Yu'er handed me a letter casually, and when I opened it, I saw that it was Uncle Li's suicide note.

I almost didn't cry after reading the letter.

Uncle Li said that he was already a successful person in the eyes of ordinary people in his life, but he knew very well in his heart that he was just a mediocre person; when he was in power, his political achievements were mediocre, but fortunately, when he was old, he did not take a penny from the state and retired peacefully.

It wasn't until I retired that I really understood the truth of many people, especially after becoming a waste picker, my horizons seemed to be broadened in an instant, and I saw the world that I had never seen before.

Before he died, he thought that he had no ability to leave something to the society, so he could only hand over the real estate and some savings to the law firm, and ask Yu'er to help see where he could do some charity, for which he was grateful!

Yu'er also told me that Uncle Li once told her that he would never be buried after his death in the future, and that if his body could not be used for medical research, he would be sprinkled as fertilizer.

I nodded, Uncle Li is a wise old man, he wants people to remember him forever and truly become immortal, unlike some people whose graves are built very high but no one has ever visited them, or who have been buried with gold, silver and jewelry, but have become the target of tomb robbers.

Yu'er said, I plan to use Uncle Li's inheritance to build a school, named after him, to take in students from difficult families.

I said, I raised my hands in approval.

Then I asked, does Uncle Li's son know?

Yu'er nodded, she should know, but he definitely won't come to see off the old man to the end, and he didn't leave him a single inheritance.

I think Uncle Li is right, and in this way, his children and grandchildren may be able to wake up and be angry, otherwise, they will not be worthy, and a large inheritance may cost their lives.
