Chapter 29: Let Go of Holding Your Hand (Part II)
Five
"Arroni: If you want to make it to the end with Asrema, you need to end unnecessary relationships as soon as possible. Destroy the letters that the other boys have given you, if you don't want Asrema to see them too. - Anton Ssalon"
Arcani opened the drawer of the bedside table, which was full of all kinds of letters, and she didn't know why she kept them, and the people who wrote them were all her "pets" to relieve her loneliness for a while. But more important than that was why Anton Saron knew of the existence of these letters, and she still hadn't guessed the answer one day before the time of the meeting that Bezod had said. Of course, she wasn't prepared to ask Anton Saron about it. At the moment, the dormitory is empty, and everyone is busy reviewing in the library, and only Eroni is the only idler. Unbeknownst to her, though, Asrema had been waiting for her downstairs for a long time.
Arconi took out the pile of letters from the drawer, grabbed a few and looked at the names on them, many of which she had forgotten, but some of which belonged to the men who had just spent the past few days with her. Burning these letters seemed like the work of someone who was going to "change their minds", and she was thinking that even if they were burned, there would be new ones. However, for the time being, she still regards Asrema as her lover, and the other party cares so much about her chastity and honor, or to be precise, what Asrema really cares about is the honor of being a Noxian nobleman.
"Arcane Flame!"
Eroni clasped her hands together to condense magical energy, and then suddenly held the wrist of her left hand with her right hand, and at the same time, a light purple magical flame burst out from the palm of her left hand. However—instead of igniting the letters, as expected, the magic flame pierced through the letters, burning the sheets.
"How—that's so?" Aroni was startled, and she jerked to her feet, ready to cast another spell.
"Secret Method: Clear Spring Like a Flood!"
Although Aroni succeeded in summoning a pool of clear water within the range of the barrier, it was clear that such a stream of water could extinguish the magical flames. In less than ten seconds, the entire bed was already burning in half. Some gray smoke spread from the ignition point, choking her coughing.
"What should I do!?This spell really isn't so easy to stop!" Eroni's forehead was already covered with sweat, and her eyes reflected the ever-expanding flames on the bed, all she knew was that she was trembling now, and she couldn't feel anything else.
At that moment there was a rush of footsteps outside the door, followed by a knock on the door, "Elonie, are you in you, open the door!" the person who spoke was Asrema, and it was clear from the words that he was nervous.
"Wait a minute! you can't come here, this is the girls' dormitory!" Judging by the voice, it was a woman who was about thirteen years old.
"How can you come in!?" the voice was supposed to come from a girl about the same age as Eloni.
"There's a fire inside! There's smoke seeping through the crack in the door!Don't you understand?" Asrema yelled outside the door, "Ironi, answer quickly, are you inside!?"
Five seconds later, the door was smashed by a powerful force, and at the same time, a large amount of smoke poured out of the room like a torrent of bursting embankments. Standing in the middle of the room, at a loss, Arroni was stopped by Asrema before she could react.
"Honey, it's not hurt, is it!?" Asrema asked with concern, frowning as he looked at the glazed-eyed and trembling Eroni.
"Come out, boy, it's dangerous!" walked in from outside the door a middle-aged woman in a brown cloak, who was about to pull Asrema by the arm and walk out of the dormitory. By this time, the wooden bed by the window and the large wooden dresser had been completely burned, and the flames were spreading rapidly along the floor.
"Eroni, please!" Asrema picked Eroni out the door and let her go, re-entering the dormitory.
"Danger!" the middle-aged woman shouted, and she was about to stop Asrema but the other party had already rushed into the smoke.
"Secret Method: Extremely Cold Broken Ice!"
Asrema clasped his hands together, and a spell barrier with a radius of three feet suddenly appeared on the ground not far from him. The barrier shimmered with a pale blue light, and with each intense flicker, a dark wind swept through large hailstones and smashed into the barrier. Wherever the hail went, the flames were quickly extinguished. As the smoke gradually subsided, Asrema saw the source of the fire, a single bed near the window.
"Secret Method: Chill Wind!"
Asrema raised her hands in front of her chest, and at the same time, a powerful magical power was condensed in her palms, and in the blink of an eye, the originally scorching fire was already as cold as the wind outside. Asrema's ice spell is not to summon an ordinary cold wind, but a cold wind with frost and snow and extremely fast wind speed, such a wind can only be encountered by Freeljord, who is cold all year round, not to mention that the flames will be extinguished, even people standing in it will suffocate.
The fire was extinguished, and Asrema looked at the wooden furniture that had turned into charcoal ash, and couldn't help but wonder, "It burned so thoroughly, it must not be an ordinary flame, could it be the spell released by Aroni?" At this moment, he found a white substance hidden in the black charcoal ash, and he leaned down to pick it up. It turned out that they were two unburned letters, and the recipient of each letter was Eloni. He put the letter in the large pocket of his cloak and walked out of the room.
Six
Eloni:
This is my last letter to you, and it's a breakup letter. Since I'm not in the habit of writing letters, I don't want to write a lot of things in them. I brought up the reason for the breakup, and I think you should know it. That's right, I found unburned letters in your room. I think there will be more such letters, more than I can imagine. That's why you burn them.
I don't know what kind of concept love is in your mind, is it a plaything, a game, or something other insignificant. You are not worthy of my love, nor are you worthy of anyone's love. You will only trample on it, play with it, and insult it. In the end, I still decided to let go of the hand holding you, let you fly high, and let you do anything to betray your reputation because of loneliness. Of course, from now on, none of that has anything to do with me.
Sorry, forget our engagement, the Ankaria faction needs to include women who are loyal to their lovers. Otherwise, it will only tarnish the glory and prominence of my family for fifty years.

——
Three days later, that is, on the 30th of last month, the Supreme Military Council of Noxus and the Noxus Order Party Parliament formally appointed Swain, the former Left Speaker of the Parliament of the Order Party and the head of the War Decision-making Center of the Supreme Military Council, and known as the "Commander of the Strategists," as the second Supreme Commander of Noxus. On the 3rd of this month, the funeral of the former Supreme Commander Duckville was held in Noxus Military Square, where the body was cremated, according to Noxian tradition. One of our members of the community had the privilege of "visiting" the grand funeral, and according to him, the body, while somewhat similar in size to Darkville, was grossly out of height. Darkville was nearly seven feet tall, and his body was at most six. 5 feet. Of course, our doubts may not stop there.
Four years ago in the fall, Darkville was seen for the last time in front of the world. At that time, he represented Noxus and met with Lariva, the top member of the League of Legends' impartial council. Since then, this influential figure has disappeared, allowing all kinds of scandals to be overwhelming, and the Noxus authorities have never come forward to refute the rumors. It wasn't until the end of February of the following year that the well-known publication "Hextech" published an article called "The Disappearance of Duckville", which analyzed reasonably and well-founded and put forward a lot of targeted evidence, and people woke up like a dream - "So that's it!". Since then, everyone seems to have insisted that Darkville was indeed missing, although his daughter Katerina has always denied it.
Valoran has different opinions about the reason for Darkville's disappearance, after all, since the inception of League of Legends, there have been a series of disappearances. Ashram, the Five Guardians, and even the creator of the Alliance, Exio, have all faded into obscurity in the form of "disappearance". Just when people were worried that the rise of Dellus would cause Caterina to gradually lose the initiative, Gilbywater's famous publication "The Voyager" published a surprising article - "Darkville may have been assassinated!". The article was like a bombshell, and for a while, Noxus became the focus of Valoran's attention, and people had to wonder "is this true?", and "if this is true, who will do it?".
Although the Noxus authorities have announced that Darkville has been assassinated and Swain has been inaugurated as the new Supreme Commander, we have to question who killed Darkville, and according to the Order Party, the assassin may have come from Demacia. Let's take this as a correct assertion, but if the Assassin is to succeed, he must be at least as powerful as Darkville. Demacia has such strength, I am afraid that only Gavin III, who is over sixty years old. Isn't it ridiculous that a dignified monarch would become an assassin? There is also the possibility that the assassin carried out the assassination while Darkville was asleep, or poisoned it in advance. But on closer analysis, this is unlikely, Darkville is cautious, and his guards are all masters like Tyrone. Seeing that some people here will say that the assassins must be summoners, and only they can "kill people inexplicably". So now I'm going to tell you that this kind of thinking doesn't make sense at all. Valoran has two people who can be called "Summoner Killers", one is Landoston Spellbreaker, and the other is Lord Darkville. In fact, during the Fifth Rune War, I don't know how many summoners, mages, and warlocks died tragically under the witchcraft blades of Darkville.
It's ironic that our lives go on regardless of whether Darkville is assassinated or not, and I say that may lead to a lot of resentment, but isn't that true?

A native of Demacia, his father was a member of the Fearless Vanguard who was killed in the Fifth Runic War at the hands of the famous Noxian general Theon. He grew up dependent on his mother, who was a maid. By chance, Hanmenings met Sorata, the Son of the Stars, and learned healing magic and simple defensive magic from her. Because of his father's death in battle, Hanmenings hated killing and loved peace from an early age. He began his life of travel very early, and during his travels, he spread his ideas of fraternity to people while providing free treatment to those in need. There is a theory that Hanmenings was once a disciple of Elaine, the "White Sage", which gave him a unique insight into healing magic.
Like the Demacian orator Lanzo, Hanmenings' ideal was to resolve the hatred between Noxus and Demaci, so he often traveled between the two places. However, this ideal can be seen as "ignorant" and "ridiculous" in any country. Especially in Noxus, where speech is highly open, spreading such ideas means seeking death. When the three "Shadow Warriors" of Noxus blocked him in a dead end, he thought about the lives of the innocent people around him, because none of them would survive his death. At the critical moment, Hanmenings remembered what Elaine had said to herself, "Magic can be used for healing and killing" No one knew what happened next, he just cast his familiar healing spells as usual, but the three Shadowblade warriors fell one after another, and they never got back up again. From this point on, a new spell called "Life Wither" was born, this spell is ostensibly a healing spell, but the effect is completely opposite, it can draw the opponent's life force, reduce the opponent's lifespan, and even directly make the opponent die!
Today, Hanmenings is a pilgrim to the Church of Demacia, and he tirelessly answers the questions of many and serves as a spiritual guide to the world. However, he has a bottom line and will never reveal anything about the "Life Blight" spell to anyone. Unfortunately, his peaceful life was shattered once again. Since Dales and his brother Dresse joined the League of Legends, the Demacia Citizens' Council has been searching across the country for talent to join the League of Legends, and it is reported that they have set their sights on Hanmenings.

When Swayn came to power, he proposed 39 new policies, claiming that Noxus would enter a new era. Among the 39 policies, the following five are worth discussing.
All preferential treatment for the nobility was abolished, and the nobility no longer enjoyed the wealth of the state.
The hereditary system of aristocracy was abolished, and all functional departments of the Order Party were not allowed to be hereditary, and no relatives or friends were allowed to succeed them.
Increase the treatment of military personnel, improve the social status of military personnel, and senior members of the military can enjoy all national resources and wealth.
1,364 non-functional institutions were abolished, all public officials of these functional bodies and their families were expelled from Noxus, and some meritorious persons could be considered for exile to remote areas.
Two additional institutions. The Supreme Military Council has established a War Affairs Center in the Land of Justice, and a speech control department has been established in the Supreme Civil Affairs Management Center.
The Noxus authorities explained the above five reforms as follows. First, the abolition of all treatment of the aristocracy was to reconcile the main contradictions in society and to suppress the nobles at all levels, who, in the past years, had used their power and welfare to consume a great deal of state resources. Second, the abolition of the hereditary system of aristocracy is aimed at further weakening the aristocracy and preventing some unscrupulous people from consuming state resources and increasing class contradictions. The reform also stipulates that after the departure of a public official in a government function, the successor shall not have any family or friend relationship with him. Article 3 The purpose of increasing the remuneration of military personnel is to further expand the armed forces and encourage the people to join the armed forces. Military personnel above the rank of sergeant major may use any national resources without any reason. Fourth, the purpose of abolishing government agencies that have no practical role is to save government expenses and reduce the burden on the state. For those who, in the past years, have consumed the wealth of the nation in vain, expulsion or exile is the best treatment for them. Article 5, the War Affairs Center of the Land of Justice is mainly responsible for recruiting talents and sending them to League of Legends. In addition, this department is responsible for all matters of Noxus in the Land of Justice. The purpose of the Speech Control Division is to further manage and control mainstream speech, so that the government can thoroughly control the weather vane of public opinion.
In Noxus, state resources refer to everything that is governed by the Order Party. Previously, the aristocracy enjoyed all the resources of the state, so they were free to enter and leave any place in Noxus, expropriate any piece of land, and enslave any commoner. It is precisely because of this that the class contradictions in Noxus are becoming more and more serious. The common class can only live in relative comfort by clinging to the big chaebols and selling their labor power for free. But in fact, all the big chaebols are also aristocrats, and the entire industry and commerce of Noxus are in the hands of these people, and the only one who can compete with them is the military class. In the Noxus social system, the military is a big concept, they are responsible for both going out to fight for the country and maintaining order and security at home. Overall, they are all minions of the Order Party, helping the Order Party control all of Noxus.
Swain's reforms were seriously wrong, he was transforming Noxus from an "aristocratic state" to a "military state", and although the old class contradictions were alleviated, new hidden dangers and problems would also arise. Moreover, the excessive suppression of the aristocracy will make the economy of Noxus fall into a state of stagnation for a while, and even trigger a "noble uprising". We can't expect to see a new Noxus because of these reforms, when in fact it will be a new one, a new oppression and chaos, nothing more.
- [paragraph]
It has been nearly half a month since the new commander-in-chief, Swain, came to power, and in that half a month, a total of 785 nobles have been killed, of which more than seventy percent have died at the hands of Dellus. Dalus had become a member of the Supreme Military Council, and his massacres began to be legitimized, but in reality, they were only for personal revenge, and his parents had died because of these nobles.
The era of the four major factions of the Order is over, Caterina is no longer an Overseer, and Swain has given her a vacant position in the Order Council. Dwyan Haslem was sent to the mountains of Reser in the Far East as the senior counsellor of the Reser garrison, but the army counsellor had no practical role in the army system in Noxus. The powerful Lena Ancaria was probably the luckiest of all the nobles, and the Ancarian family ruled the southern region of Noxus for twenty years, and the southern town of Anduin had begun to take on the scale of a city, which was extremely rare in Valoran's unique city-state system. Ankaria is known as one of the four major factions, but has never actually been involved in the politics of the city-state of Noxus, so Swain doesn't have to think about them for the time being. Of course, the members of the Ankaria family have always been deeply loved by the common people, and these nobles are simply exemplary among the nobles, although they are rich and rich, but they are also generous. Accumulate good results on weekdays, and all disasters will not come naturally.
If you're a Noxian commoner, every time a nobleman falls or dies, you're as happy as if you're about to get married. It is because of their existence that the toiling masses of Noxus live in dire straits. The fact that the oppressors and exploiters do not die well is definitely a good thing. But there are others, such as those outside of Noxus, who would consider the slaughter too cruel. If you think so too, then put away your pity. Although this kind of behavior may seem brutal, the slaughtered nobles are all full of evil, they have enslaved or killed countless civilians in the past few years or even ten years, and bred batch after batch of national pests, these guys are definitely innocent. However, I am not saying that all the nobles who were slaughtered or expelled were bad people, and there were some unjust, false and wrongful convictions. The most famous of these tragedies is Caterina Darkville.
No one in Valoran does not know about Caterina, a young woman nicknamed "The Ominous Blade" and "The Black Widow of Noxus", whose father is Burnham Darkville, the former Supreme Commander of Noxus, and she also has a twin sister, the famous "Servant of the Serpent" Cassiopeia. Katerina is actually only twenty-four years old, and considering this may be the first time her actual age has been made public, we are willing to accept all the consequences. In Noxus, women are not allowed to be soldiers, and their duty is to give birth to strong babies and become warriors on the battlefield of the future. But the exception is Katarina, who joined the army at the age of ten and killed her first enemy on the battlefield at the age of twelve. Before the signing of the Covenant of Ceasement of War, Caterina had led her troops in thirty battles, large and small, and had never been defeated. Five years ago, Caterina became the youngest member of the Supreme Military Council, officially entered Noxian politics, and has been the leader of the Darkville faction since her father's "disappearance". To outsiders, Caterina was seen as a "cold-blooded killer", a "cruel and politically minded monster" who, like many aristocrats, lived a life of drunkenness. But things are not what everyone thinks, in fact, Katerina is definitely a victim of the factional feud of the Order of Noxus!
If you're a Demacian, you'll think I'm talking nonsense, but I'm telling you, it's absolutely true! Of all the Noxian nobles, Caterina is unique in that she doesn't live in a mansion compound or wear gold or silver. Her most frequented place was the Hunter Inn in Old Town Noxus (which was also a famous restaurant), and every time she came out of the inn, she would throw some buttered bread to the beggars. She's not best at killing, either, but making black coffee, and if you've ever tasted her black coffee, you'll definitely think so.
In Noxus, the most unfortunate thing may not be the civilians. In fact, the civilians of Noxus have never had a sense of resistance, which is why they did not hold a single strike or march so many years ago. In this polis shrouded in political darkness, no matter where you stand, you are at stake. However, there are some people who are born with a fate that is destined to live a life that is different from ordinary people. This kind of life makes them face the threat of death all the time, and there is no need to ask why, racking their brains to fight openly and secretly against possible enemies, which is the way of survival of these people.

League of Legends has two very special heroes, the "Angel" sisters Kyle and Morgana. They don't belong to Valoran, but come from a distant world. Little is known about their world, but the legend of angels is a household name.
The Ionian Astral Wishers believe that human wisdom comes from angels, noble beings with heavenly wings. They had already come to Valoran when the Kingdom of Leonte was just founded, and they had already come to Valoran to impart advanced technology and supreme wisdom to humans and elves, and eventually led to the birth of the concept of "technology". In the realm of angels, magic and technology are separated, and modern Hextech advocates have combined the two into one.
But many people also object, saying that there is no evidence that angels actually exist, and that it may just be a legend. However, the appearance of Kyle and Morgana is a powerful counter to this claim. In fact, when these two archangels spread their wings and soar into the sky, all other actions and words of people are meaningless except for their eyes and mouths. Kyle and Morgana's summoner is the former Supreme Councilman, Lord Ashram, and the two sides have signed a ten-thousand-year agreement, and while it sounds outrageous, the angels not only have God-given wings, but also eternal life. Today we're going to tell the story of the two sisters in their homeland, which comes from the War College archives and is classified as a top secret.
The world where the angels live is called St. Nado, and there are two races living there—Angelis, who has heavenly wings, and Anradas, who is like an elf. Angelis is very few in number, but powerful in number, and their leader is also the ruler of the six kingdoms of the world of Sennado. The most powerful of the six kingdoms is the Land of Light, ruled by the archangel Abeles. Aberles is the god of war of Saint-Nado and once saved the world of Saint-Nado from demons. He had sex with an Anredas and had two daughters, Kyle and Morgana. Aberles was a relentless soldier, and although he was the best warrior and commander, his actions brought untold disasters to the country and its people. His most powerful subordinate, Etes, decides to betray Aberles after attending the funeral of his last son!
Etes' betrayal was a severe blow to the forces of the Land of Light, but the arrogant Abeles disagreed and continued the war of what he called "absolute justice". Until Ites gathered the armies of the five great powers and besieged Aberles in a small small city. Abeles proposed a duel to decide the outcome of the war, confident that Ites would be his defeated. Surprisingly, Ites agreed, and he chose to forfeit the victory in hand and fight the mighty Aberles alone.
This duel ultimately changed the fate of the world of Santo, and with the power of the demons, Ites slain the god-like Aberles, and then led the alliance of the Five Great Powers to destroy the Kingdom of Light. The people of the Land of Light were mercilessly slaughtered by Ites and his allies, and the survivors followed Kyle and Morgana to an island protected by ancient magic. The two sisters swore almost simultaneously - to kill Ites and avenge their father. Luckily, the dark reign of Ites has left many angels resentful, and the sisters' vengeful organization has grown. Gradually, the world of Sennado was divided into two parts, the Domain of Order and the Terianas. The Realm of Order is home to a concentration of angels, and of course there are a small number of Anridas living there, led by a leader known as the "Council of Angelis", made up of four archangels, Kyle being one of them. Terannas is a United Nations, the general name of the original five powers, and the ruler is Ites. The Realm of Order symbolizes justice and light, while Tyannas symbolizes depravity, darkness, and sin. The opposition between the two has lasted from more than 1,000 years ago to the present.
Etes, the first fallen angel in the history of St. Nado, strengthened his power with demonic blood. But the price is that his will is corrupted as evil as the devil. Ites has a group of corrupted angels with unbridled powers, and these guys have always been able to thwart the armies of the Council of Angelis, and on several occasions have even seriously wounded their commander Kyle. Just when the Angelis Council was unable to respond, Morgana announced that she would break away from the rule of the Angelis Council and join Teranas. When the Angel Council arrives, it is like a bolt from the blue, and Kyle immediately breaks off his sisterhood with Morgana, claiming to capture Morgana with his own hands and imprison her for eternity. However, Morgana had now become a fallen angel, rivaling any of the Legislature's powers.
There is always a dramatic turn in the course of history, and there is always a moment when everything is brought into balance. Not long after Morgana became a Fallen Angel, Kyle acquired the Armor of Light and the Blade of Flowing Fire, two legendary artifacts. The donors claimed to be descendants of the Artisan clan, which had disappeared for many years. During a head-to-head confrontation between the two sisters, Morgana finds herself unable to hurt Kyle in the slightest, and the sheer power of the Blade of Fire makes it difficult for her to parry. The thirst for power, combined with the desire to win as a younger sister, led Morgana to make a crazy move - to sign a blood pact with a summoner from the Runeterra, on the condition that she obtain all the forbidden magic of the Runeterra Lands. Kyle knew that once Morgana learned these spells, the Council of Angelis would cease to exist and the Realm of Order would be completely destroyed. She had no choice but to travel to the Runeterras to stop her sister.
The summoners of Runeterra come up with a series of harsh conditions, and Kyle gradually discovers that haggling with these guys is a waste of time. In this way, the Angel Sisters descended from the distant astral realm to the mortal land to fight a group of mortals in the land of justice.
