Chapter 0162: The Queen's Ballroom Helper Petyr
In the Maegor Building of the Red Keep, there is a ballroom dedicated to Queen Cersei.
It is known as the Queen's Ballroom.
The Queen's Ballroom is beautifully and luxuriously decorated, with a small space half the size of the Prime Minister's Tower, but it is large enough to accommodate more than a hundred lords, knights and ladies dancing in it, and there is ample space for bands and singers.
Ever since Cersei moved into Maegor House and became queen, there had never been music in the ballroom, and no one had ever danced in it.
For more than a decade, there was no music and no dancing in the Queen's Ballroom.
Cersei was originally a beautiful girl from the Seven Kingdoms, and in Jaime's eyes, her beauty was the sun. In the eyes of others, her beauty is the lotus flower in the king's realm, the winter snow rose in the northern realm, and the violet in the riverland.
As a girl, Cersei fell in love with her twin brother Jaime, and in 281 Aegon Calendar, at the age of sixteen, Cersei fell in love with Prince Rhaegar Targaryen (the eldest brother of the Dragon Mother) at a jousting tournament in Harrenhal, but Rhaegar Targaryen did not even look at her. After Rhaegar Targaryen won the tournament, he presented the crown of winter roses, a symbol of love and beauty, to Lyanna Stark in the North.
At the jousting tournament, Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark fall in love at first sight, while Rhaegar is married and Lyanna is engaged to Robert Baratheon. A year later, Rhaegar and Lyanna eloped, leading to the outbreak of the Usurper War, which ultimately led to the fall of the House Targaryen dynasty.
Robert Baratheon failed to reclaim his fiancΓ©e, but he took the kingdom that belonged to Rhaeggar. At that time, Robert was heroic, Warhammer was invincible in the Seven Kingdoms, and he was the dream lover of all the young girls in the Seven Kingdoms, and also the dream lover of Cersei, who was in love.
Cersei and Robert get married, and on their wedding night, Robert calls Lyanna Stark's name when he enters her body.
From the first night of their wedding, Cersei hated Robert.
Cersei was in love with three men: Jaime Lannister, Rhaegar Targaryen, and Robert Baratheon.
Now, Jaime is in exile on the other side of the Narrow Sea, his fate is uncertain, the other two men, Rhaegar has died, and even if he hadn't died, he wouldn't have looked at her squarely, and the last man, Robert Gui, is the king of the Seven Kingdoms, but he is a husband and wife who hate each other and despise each other all their lives.
Although Robert is not in Megar Tower, Cersei still feels that Maegor House is a shackle and prison, and the only loyal Jaime is not around, Cersei is alone in Maegar Castle, and her favorite place to stay is this beautiful but empty Queen's Ballroom.
On the huge bronze shelf is a candlestick made of gold, and the red candle on it resembles the tears of a beauty.
On the wall behind the candelabra are elaborate reliefs with smoothed silver mirrors in the reliefs. On the south wall, large arched windows are lined up to ensure natural light in the ballroom.
Even though it was daylight, Cersei ordered the maid to light all the red candles in the ballroom and the torches on the walls. Then she waved everyone away, and stood alone in the huge ballroom, waiting quietly.
She's waiting for someone.
Footsteps sounded, and someone came in.
Cersei didn't look back, she knew who was coming.
"Tyrion, are you a Lannister?"
"I wish I hadn't!" Tyrion's cynical voice rang out.
He didn't come alone, and though his people were kept out of the hall, he still needed a sense of security that might not be reliable.
Cersei's beloved Jaime is forced to leave, and both Cersei and her father Tywin blame Tyrion.
The Westside is so big, Jaime's return to the Westside is the fish back in the water, and the eagle flies into the sky, why cross the Narrow Sea to the continent of Essos?
Why?
Jaime was stupid, stupid enough to believe Tyrion's words, but Cersei wasn't.
"Jaime wasn't there, and Eddard Stark was pushing in, and he was about to find out who had killed Jon Arryn. "Jon Arryn, former Prime Minister of the King, adoptive father of King Robert and current Prime Minister Ed.
"You killed Jon Arryn?"
"I didn't, and as much as I wanted him to die, his death had nothing to do with me. β
"Who does that have to do with it, what are you afraid of if he dies a normal death? If you don't know, you don't know at all, you don't have to worry about Eddard Stark at all?" Tyrion said sharply.
"It doesn't matter if you know it now, there is definite information that Eddard Stark thinks I poisoned Jon Arryn. Jaime isn't here, my father is in the West, can I trust you? Tyrion, my own brother. β
"You can't trust me, my old lady, just as I won't trust you. β
"Then you shouldn't be here. Cersei turned, her voice furious, her knife-like gaze at Tyrion.
"We both want to tear each other apart, but we are Lannisters, and when Jaime is gone, he wants me not to leave the Red Keep, to try to help you, and to keep a good watch on you for him. β
"I'm going to ask you for help?"
Tyrion turned and walked away.
"If something happens to me, something will happen to the Lannisters. The power of the Red Fort has changed hands, and we are not having a good life in the west. Do you think that when you return to the West, your father will take care of you?"
Tyrion stands: "My dear old lady......"
"In Game of Thrones, there are no losers and winners, only life and death. Cersei said coldly, "The Hand of the King should have been Jaime's, and if Jaime wasn't interested, it should have been his father's, not Eddard Stark." He forced Jaime out of Winterfell in the North, Joffrey in the Red Keep of King's Landing, and now he raised his butcher's knife against me. My dear Lannister brother, shall we wait for the butcher's knife to fall from the sky and stab me in two, or shall we choose to fight?"
"The Lannister clan language is to hear me roar, can you roar for the family? Can you make a man's roar?"
"It's not the roar of a man, it's the roar of a lion, and everyone in the Lannisters is a lion. Tyrion said with a grin, "My good old sister, you can't sway King Robert, Eddard Stark will always be the hand of the king. β
"I have a way to deal with Robert. β
"What do you want to do?"
"It is better for you not to know these things, lest your noble soul be tormented by your conscience. I know you've traded gold and family names for the loyalty of a group of people, can I test the loyalty of these people of yours?"
"What's the matter?"
"Will the Man in Black and his three fellow death row inmates, let your men go and kill them tonight. Cersei said lightly, "That mercenary captain of yours, Bolon, shouldn't have any problem killing Will." β
"Kill Will?"
"Yes, as soon as you returned to King's Landing, you told me that Nawell was ambitious and would not be a Night's Watch of the Wall, and that you hoped that I would kill him in King's Landing, have you forgotten what you said? That Will helped Eddard Stark too much this time. β
Will's idea helped Eddard Stark handle the most difficult of government affairs, and won Eddard Stark the love and affection of the people in King's Landing.
Tyrion said, "While at the Wall, I saw that Will was exercising power over the Wall in the name of a ghost, and that he would not show mercy to dissidents. He skillfully used the power of the Wolf Forest tribe to balance the power of the Night's Watch, and he was still trying his best to control the huge power of the wildlings. People eat because they're hungry, so what is he doing it for?"
"Strange ghosts!" Cersei snorted.
"There are many legends of ghosts, but I don't believe what my ears hear, I only believe what my eyes see. I didn't see any strange ghosts on the Great Wall. On the contrary, I saw very well that Will had ambitions to form his own kingdom! and I was very disturbed by his violence in changing the 8,000-year-old laws of the Night's Watch. If he had the power of the savages, and gathered the power of the Night's Watch and the Wolf Forest tribe, he would definitely become a guy who disturbed the Seven Kingdoms in the future. Tyrion trusted his own judgment.
The strange ghost is Will's excuse. Commander-in-Chief Mormont is either complicit or blinded by Will's dark magic.
"Then while he's in King's Landing, let Bronn lead the men to kill him. β
Tyrion groaned, "My dear sister, won't you give me some help? β
Cersei clapped her hands, "Helper, come out." β
A figure stepped out of the dark corner of the ballroom silently, with an elegant smile on its face. β Petyr Berish, Littlefinger.
