Chapter 3 The Five Main Meridians
In the cultivation realm, the cultivation exercises are the most rare, and they are also the most important. Every cultivator will be cautious and extraordinarily careful when choosing the main exercises, because the exercises are the foundation of the cultivator's practice.
Cultivators cultivate hard not for the sake of prestige and prosperity after success. Its root lies in the pursuit of immortality, immortality and immortality, and longevity with the sky.
It's just that it's not easy to change one's life against the sky, ordinary people have a lifespan of only seventy, and monks in the Qi cultivation period are only one hundred years old, but the number of monks in the foundation building period can reach three hundred, and the monks in the higher Jindan period can have a thousand-year lifespan.
The orthodox Dharma cultivation realm in the cultivation realm can be divided into the Qi cultivation period, the foundation building period, the Jindan period, and the spirit infant stage, and few people know about the upper realm, because there are very few cultivators who can reach the Yuan Infant stage.
The lifespan of a monk in the infancy stage of the soul can reach 10,000 years, and if a cultivator wants to live a long life, he can only concentrate on cultivation, and the quality of the cultivation method directly affects whether the monk can break through himself and reach a higher level of cultivation.
The practice exercises in the cultivation realm are divided into four grades: heaven, earth, xuan, and huang according to their merits, and each product is divided into upper, middle, and lower grades. Among them, the heavenly product is the highest, the earth product is second, the Xuan product is again, and the yellow product is the lowest.
The division of the level of an exercise is mainly determined by the four main points of the exercise: realm, power, bottleneck, and meridians.
The "realm" of an exercise refers to the content of this exercise, and the highest level of cultivation to which it can be reached, that is, whether a cultivator can reach the foundation building period or the Jindan stage by cultivating this exercise. The minimum requirement for the selection of earth quality exercises is to be able to cultivate to the early stage of Jindan.
For example, the Huang Shengzong Zhen Sect Exercises, the "Huang Shengwei Dao Sutra", the Heavenly Inferior Exercises, can be cultivated up to the late Jindan period, which is the foundation of the Huang Shengzong Sect.
The "power" of an exercise, as the name suggests, refers to the strength of the power of the spell and whether the effect of the spell is subtle.
For example, the "Thick Earth Talisman Decision" Xuanpin inferior exercises, this method can only be cultivated to the Great Perfection of Qi Training, that is, the ten layers of Qi training.
You must know that the Xuanpin Exercises can generally be cultivated to the foundation building period, but when the "Thick Earth Talisman Decision" cultivation is completed, the exercises come with a three-grade high-level spell Thick Earth Shield, and when it is cast, it absorbs soil from the ground to form a shield, and the defense power is amazing, and almost no one in the Qi training period can break it. This exercise has been upgraded because of the powerful power of its own spells.
The "bottleneck" of an exercise is the point that most affects the classification of exercises among the four main points, and it is also the part that cultivators are most concerned about.
Orthodox Dharma cultivation pays attention to the gradual progress, and the water comes naturally. However, cultivators are walking the path against the heavens, and the hardships are not known to ordinary people. As the cultivation gradually deepened, bottlenecks also followed.
For example, if a cultivator cultivates to the great perfection of the Qi cultivation period, when he hits the foundation building period, he will face a nightmarish bottleneck. There are countless cultivators in the cultivation realm, and they are stuck here, unable to move forward, with no hope of immortality, and they will die of old age for life, which shows how difficult it is to break through the bottleneck.
Cultivators have different cultivation methods, and the difficulties they encounter when breaking through bottlenecks are also different. Some exercises are powerful, but they encounter many bottlenecks and are relatively difficult. Although some exercises are powerful, they are slightly easier to break through the bottleneck.
Because the essence of a cultivator is the pursuit of immortality, most cultivators are often not willing to practice the power of some spells, but there are fewer bottlenecks and they are easy to break through.
For example, the cultivation giant sect in the middle of the Eastern Yuan Continent, the main cultivation method of Haoran Gate "Haoran Shujing", the magic power contained in the cultivation of this exercise is really average, and it can be regarded as extremely weak. However, this exercise is highly sought after in the cultivation world, and it is recognized as a heavenly and superior exercise. Countless cultivators flock to it, because there are few bottlenecks and it is very easy to break through.
For cultivators who practice other exercises, the opportunity to break through from the Qi cultivation period to the foundation building period is one in ten thousand, and one out of ten thousand cultivators may succeed. And the cultivators who practice the "Haoran Book Sutra", one out of a hundred people can advance smoothly, which can be said to have the ability to defy the sky, which makes people yearn for it.
The speed of cultivation of an exercise depends on the "meridians" in the four main points of the exercise.
As we all know, the foundation of Dharma cultivation lies in the dantian, and the process from the qi training period to the foundation building period is nothing more than absorbing spiritual energy from heaven and earth at the beginning, transforming it into spiritual power and accumulating it in the dantian. As there is more and more spiritual power in the dantian, when the spiritual power capacity reaches the limit and cannot be stored, the dantian is transformed and expanded so that more spiritual power can be stored.
Attracting spiritual energy from heaven and earth, guiding it into the dantian and storing it, relying on the meridians connected to the dantian. There are countless meridians entwined outside the human dantian, just like the root system of an old tree, intricately coiled together.
The five main meridians that are mainly used for cultivation are the Dan Qi Pulse, the Dan Yuan Pulse, the Dan Jing Pulse, the Dan Life Pulse, and the Danyang Pulse.
Most of the exercises are cultivated through these five veins to absorb the aura, and the cultivation speed of each exercise, that is, the amount of aura absorbed, is different. The root cause is that when this exercise is cultivated, several of the five main meridians are used, and several meridians are idle.
Liu Yu's own practice of "Huangmu Pei Yuan Gong" is mainly the three main veins of Dan Life, Dan Yuan, and Dan Qi, and when cultivating, only these three main veins absorb aura, and the two major veins of Dan Jing and Danyang are deserted, and they do not absorb aura in their idleness. And the Huang Shengzong Zhen Sect Exercise "Huang Shengwei Dao Sutra", when cultivating, the five main veins are absorbing spiritual energy at the same time. The speed of cultivation of the two exercises is clear at a glance.
Although the "Huangmu Pei Yuan Gong" only cultivates the three main veins, the cultivation speed is not slow. The "Thick Earth Talisman Decision", which is also an inferior exercise of Xuanpin, only focuses on the two veins of Dan Qi and Dan Yuan, and minors in one side meridian. Compared with the two, the single cultivation speed is at least two percent slower than that of "Huang Mu Pei Yuan Gong". But in terms of the power of the exercises, it is different, and it is more than a star and a half.
The reason why Liu Yu chose to practice "Huangmu Pei Yuan Gong" is because he looks at the cultivation speed of this exercise, you must know that the spell that comes with "Huang Mu Pei Yuan Gong", "Huang Mu Pei Yuan Gong" is only a second-grade intermediate spell, or an auxiliary healing spell, there is no power at all, and the healing effect is really average.
In addition to the five main meridians, there are also countless side meridians in the dantian, which can absorb aura.
The reason why most of the exercises in the cultivation realm use the five main meridians is because these five veins are thick, strong, and stable. The coarseness of the meridians means that the amount of spiritual energy absorbed during cultivation is large, which directly affects the speed of cultivation. Firmness and stability mean safety, we must know that the dantian is in the vital place of the human body, there can be no damage, and there is a slight mistake in the pool to worry about life.
The lateral veins are not only small, but the aura they absorb is extremely limited, and the most important thing is that they are unstable and easily injured.
If the meridians are slightly damaged, they will affect the whole body, which will affect the cultivation at least and kill them at worst. However, cultivators are originally people who defy the heavens, and most of them have a slow cultivation speed due to their own complex spiritual roots, mediocre qualifications, and low grade of major exercises. Helplessly, the central student is unwilling, so he will take risks and forcibly cultivate the unknown side meridians.
It's just that the end of this sword going sideways, most of them don't die well and die violently, and only a few lucky ones can successfully open up the side meridians and speed up their cultivation.
These people wrote down their experiences and experiences into special exercises and left them for future generations. However, due to the different physiques of the human body, it is equally dangerous for future generations to practice, and most of them also die violently. After countless cultivators practiced without fear of life and death, and the summarization of countless bloody lessons, it was possible to successfully find a stable and cultivable side meridian.
It can be seen that behind every exercise is a lot of bones, and the danger associated with cultivation can be seen. However, the amount of aura absorbed by the side meridians is very limited, and the amount of aura absorbed by a hundred side meridians at the same time may not be as good as the amount of aura absorbed by one main meridian.
