"It is merciful to remove no benefit for all sentient beings, and all sentient beings are suffering, but to save them, to cherish sentient beings, to give to the poor, to support the sick, to help each other in times of need, and to make the other side of happiness." It is sorrowful to want to be immeasurably happy with sentient beings, and sentient beings are uninvited, but to get rid of their afflictions, to bless all beings, to cut off the root of afflictions with wonderful methods, and to enter into ultimate happiness. It is joy to give to all sentient beings, to give money and to cast Dharma doors to liberate the masses, and to give fearlessness to make the people's hearts happy, so that all sentient beings will be filled with joy in the Dharma. Self-denial and charity to others is giving, giving up oneself to enjoy greed, giving to sentient beings to make them full. Self-interest and altruism, refraining from all evil, and practicing all good are all Buddhism. Do you understand?"
