Chapter 296, The Sewer of Death
"The vines, with their dark green skin and leaves, are as strong as they can be, and they don't prey," Teyjak wrote carefully in the sewers, and shortly after she entered, I spotted the green algae that the workers had just mentioned.
Lifting the rune, Teyjat lit a flame on his finger and approached the green vine leaning against the wall. The flames touched the vines, the heat instantly turned them brown, and within seconds the entire area dried up, and the taigart extended the flames and set the dry branches on fire.
Watching the green vines burn in the flames, Teyjat looked confused. In any case, these new plants are not resistant to heat and fire, so they seem to have nothing to do with the recent rise in temperatures in the city. But Teyjat has a hunch that new vines are anything but simple. "Hurry up, this is the last one,"
A brief voice came from the deep tunnel in the distance. "What's the use of assigning these tasks to our rally?" Teyjat said, hiding in the shadows of the wall, but at the same time, the heavy touch behind her and the stench on the tip of her nose made her sick. Two tall figures came out of the corner, one of them holding a box in his hand. The one on the left complained loudly, and the one on the right just didn't listen.
They passed through the tunnel where Teyjat was located and finally reached another intersection not far away, as it was the confluence of two currents that splashed in the strait even on the stone slabs on both sides.
"Damn, damn it, I just bought it," the man on the left grumbled loudly again, and Teyjat cautiously poked his head out after settling their location. Now that the box in their hands has been opened, they take some matte powder out of the box and throw it all over the wall.
"Damn, why am I doing this drudgery? If I knew, I wouldn't have come. At least I can take the money to repair someone else's wall" The man who complained loudly kept talking, but his hands kept moving. The man who listened to him gave him a look that was enough to hide a hint of contempt. After wiping the gunpowder, the two men left with suitcases. Teyjat stepped out of the corner and walked briskly towards their powder-sprinkled wall.
The finger was placed on the wall, and in addition to the powder attached to the wall, a layer of black mud was scraped off. Taigart carefully removed the dirt from between his fingernails and placed the remaining powder on the palm of his hand to examine it carefully. The powder was tan in color and had no unusual contact with humans, so Teyjat caught a mouse and fed it to the sneaky creature. After a few minutes, the rat was still alive and well, and Taigart thought it was more active, whether it was a hallucination or not.
She let go of her hand, carefully picked up a little powder, and sniffed it from the tip of her nose. There are some mineral powders that look like dried plant powders. Clap your hands, Teyjat says, looking confused. These powders don't have any energy, if any, there are many, but what's the point of painting them on the wall?Teyjat gathered a few other things from other parts of the wall, and upon careful examination, determined that it was of the same type as the previous one, not Mithril, nor crystalline metal capable of circulating energy.
Teyjat looked silently at the wall, and suddenly she saw something different. In the gaps between the bricks, the filled earth seems to have been excavated. Teyjat moved his fingers, carefully removing the black mud from the wall. In front of her, the originally solid rock turned into a lump of dirt.
In the center of the clod, Taigart found a dark green seed. The seed, which was placed in the palm of the hand, seemed to come into contact with the powder left behind when Teyjat was examined, and suddenly its placenta ruptured, giving rise to two buds. Startled by the change, Tygart thought of something next, pressing the seed against the wall where the powder was most concentrated. The seed that was pressed on it didn't move at all, and Tygart waited for a while, not expecting such a big change.
Am I wrong? Did the seed germinate normally? Wasn't it catalyzed by gunpowder? She looked down at her feet in confusion, where the green mud water flowed quietly. There are two elements of plant growth, one is the soil and the other is the water source.
But the Taigarts are not water peoples, and they have no way to control the flow of water, nor do they have a way to build a barrier where the seeds can be watered with their fragrant little hands. Looking at his white body with a hint of fragrant palms, his quiet and elegant expression hesitated. It's a city sewer, and there's some horrible substance mixed in with it. While it is possible to wash the arm afterwards to return to its original shape, there are some things that cannot be brought back.
What really bothers Teyjat is that everything is just speculation, and those two ordinary people who sprinkled powder on them didn't actually break any laws, and what Teyjat has observed so far is enough to justify her actions. Just as she hesitated, a black cloud of dust suddenly fell from the wall, and Taigart looked up and saw that the small hole she had dug was shaking.
Oh no! Tygart slammed into the crossroads, disappearing into the darkness.
"Are you saying anybody is here? โ
"Yes, this is the corridor. Looks professional. We didn't dare do anything. We left in the middle of the work" In the dark sewers, Du Wei, a member of the Dragon's Blood, looked at the marks on the wall and frowned.
From a tracking point of view, it is not certain that the other party is not a professional, and even if it is a professional, it cannot be certain that it passed by accident or specifically investigated. The purpose and origin of this voyeurism is not clear, but ... Ludwig turned around and said, "You continue the unfinished business, I'll deal with the intruders." Luwe told the regular members, and then they turned away, looking at each other from behind.
"More work? "It's said we're going to deal with the intruders, so let's do our job" Oh, you don't really think we're going to deal with this, do you? Joe After Luwe left, the two workers began to talk again, and finally the man who had been silent looked at the other.
"Do you still want this job? Do you still want to stay in the Dragonblood Club, the worker who had been complaining stopped talking. Soon, only the two of them were left waving their arms in the gloomy sewers, and Thea, who was hiding in the corner, breathed a sigh of relief. It seems that the security team did not see her as an intruder.
But as Teyjat emerged from the darkness, the calm waters suddenly rolled back and wrapped around her ankles. "You're here"
Boom, boom, boom. Two bone arms protruded from the current, washing away the current around Teyjat. Teyjat dodged, his hands red from the silver bone fire, but the enemy was not below the surface of the water where the explosion had occurred. As soon as she turned, Joe Luwi came out of the back aisle and rolled up four jets of water and sprayed at Teyjat.
Bam! A layer of bone armor shattered, and the water stopped behind the teyjat and turned into sewage.
Teyjat pays the price for her misjudgment, but at the same time, she sketches the summoning runes before escaping. Four skeletons emerge from the sewers and surround Joe Luwi in the middle. There was a delicate piece of bone on all four skeletons, as it came out of the wastewater, and the white bones now glowed green.
Joe ยท Luwe hadn't moved yet, her hand had been moving after she had asked Tygart to play with the skull, and there were four pale green rays of light wrapped around the skeleton on her hand. "If I were you, I wouldn't do anything unnecessary" After lifting the spell, Taigart relaxed and turned around.
"Now their bones are infected with a deadly virus, and if you do anything out of the ordinary, I'm not sure you'll get out of here alive" Joe Luwi smiled as he looked at the green-light skeletons around him, raising your hands. "I didn't know the Guild would recruit wizards," she said, frowning, choosing to ignore Joe J. Luvy's challenge.
"Who are you, what are you doing here? โ
"Who am I?" it's hard to say, but I know who you are" Teyjat's face changed, and she had the terrifying feeling of being targeted by a terrifying creature. "What are you talking about? Who else knows the news! But Joe Luwi smiled at the nervous Teyjat. "I guess I'm right, the church doesn't know," said Teyjat, who, though a hunter, was trained to manipulate the death energy of the undead, rather than the basic hunting spirit of the guild.
The guild is a neutral group and will not discriminate against him because he absorbs negative energy. At best, nothing special. On the other hand, the Church has influence over both the sun and the sun, and hates the dark side, especially the undead.
Although, in general, between the two great powers, there will be no friction over these trifles, there will be a church and an extremist who will inevitably be assassinated if the identity of Teyjat is revealed.
Looking at Joe Luwi's smile Teyjat remembered an old story about a necromancer killed by the hands of a paladin, and the paladin was not punished for the fight between the two.
"I don't know what you're talking about, but if I heard me right, you're dragon's blood, aren't you? T said coldly.
"If I put pressure on your president, what do you think he will do to you? โ
"Haha"
Joe Luwi laughed and pointed at teyjat. "Who do you think sent me? She silently wrote this message, her eyes sparkling. "Even so, I don't think your president will admit to being questioned by the Hunter Alliance. I don't think the president of gaia will have the guts, make a fuss in this case" Joe Luwi's face was blank, he disguised it well, but Teyjat could see that he was guilty.
"Now tell me why you're here. What can Dragon's Blood do? Joe Luvis was silent, and Tygart looked at him, silently stopping the skeleton from approaching him, the sharp green bones closing in on him. Louwe swallowed.
"Tell me why, and I'll let you go," Tyat whispered. "Don't tell such a lie to a child," he said, "You'd better never know our intentions than get killed for leaking this."
To show his resolve, Joe Luwe approached the skull, startled by his movements, and Tygart quickly lifted the skeleton up. But when he was done, Teyjat said, and sure enough, Joe relaxed, knowing he was scared.
Teyjat lost her voice for a moment, knowing that there was nothing good to talk about now. There was a terrible silence, but within 10 seconds Joe Luwi's face changed.
If he's a rogue, he's a beast in disguise now. Joe luwi walked forward without hesitation, ignoring the green knife in front of him. Teyjat's skeleton retreated, but after three steps, the skeleton came to a steady stop. "Don't overdo it," Taya said, frowning. "It's a secret I don't have to know"
"I know," Joe Luwi laughed, her feet never stopping, her face frozen, her controlling skeleton moving in the opposite direction. Joe ยท Instead of retreating from the middle, as expected, Luvis hit the skull, and only Taigart heard the sound of the bones breaking.
What the?
