Volume 1 Chapter 72 Flying Painted Wall
Xingyang City is a big city of the Great Qin Dynasty, with a radius of about 800 miles, and its territory is so large that it ranks among the top ten capitals of the Great Qin Dynasty.
As an important city of the Great Qin Dynasty, Xingyang City is actually quite famous in the entire Void Spirit Realm, especially in the territory of Zhongshenzhou, whether it is a monk on the mountain or a secular mortal, almost everyone knows the flying murals in Xingyang City.
After Shu Jinran and Zhuo Yuming entered the city, the first stop was to go straight to the famous flying painting wall in Xingyang City.
This flying painting wall is located in the west of Xingyang City, which is said to have been carved by a Buddhist monk thousands of years ago. The painting wall is only made of the most ordinary white jade, the monk with a stone chisel and a small hammer spent three years, the twelve bodies of the flying relief carved into the chisel, and then painted with colored clay on it, to achieve a side of 20 zhang wide, 17 zhang high magnificent mural.
It is rumored that when the Buddhist monk carved and painted the flying map, the limit was approaching, when the monk carved and chiseled the stone wall, he recited the true scriptures, and then cut his Arhat golden body, and put the golden blood of the real Buddha into the colored clay, and painted on it. In the past three years, the monks did not drink or eat, and the sound of the scriptures continued. When the painting wall was completed, the monk's golden blood was also drained, and finally sat in front of the wall, closed his eyes and smiled, and after reciting a Buddha name, he passed away.
It is said that the monk who cultivated as the head of the Buddha may not be inferior to the Buddha of his life and the practice of Buddhism of his whole life was integrated into the huge painting wall, on which the twelve flying paintings were full of spiritual Buddha meaning and could transform people's hearts. And according to legend, there are three Buddhist opportunities hidden in this painting wall, if the fate of the person can understand the mystery of the monk left in the twelve flying maps, you can get a creation. Before the construction of Xingyang City, it is said that a terminally ill old violinist came to this painting wall, originally planning to die here, but did not want to suddenly comprehend a wisp of Buddha's meaning on a thunderstorm night. Overnight, the old luthier recovered from a serious illness, and his expression was plump, without the slightest hint of illness. The world thinks that this old luthier is the first blessing hidden in the painting wall.
Therefore, since then, there has been an endless stream of good men and women who come to pay homage to them from all over the world, and some cultivators who are trapped by the demons have also come to try to use the pure Buddha qi to drive away the demons. The existence of Xingyang City because of this painting wall also led to the great prosperity of Buddha worship in the city, and it became the city with the largest number of people who believed in Buddhism in the entire virtual spirit world.
It is rumored that there were many monks in the Lotus Temple of the head of the Liberation Gate, and many monks proposed to relocate this painting wall to the holy land of Buddhism for thousands of disciples to understand the Dharma, but the head of the Buddha was to resist public opinion. The head of the Buddha said that instead of moving back to the Lotus Temple, it is better to leave it to transform sentient beings in the world. At that time, the voice that most agreed with the Buddha's views was precisely the rebellious and ghostly Buddha who came.
The two walked through the bustling streets of the city, turned left and right, and came to the front of the Lifo Bridge in the west of the city.
This Buddha Bridge is just an ordinary stone arch bridge erected on a small river, just because after stepping on this bridge, it is where the flying painting wall is, so it is named Buddha.
Although Zhuo Yuming and Shu Jinran are not people who believe in Buddhism, since they pass through this Xingyang City, they naturally have to come to see this very famous flying painting wall.
Walking across the stone bridge, you will see the magnificent giant painting wall.
Perhaps because of the blessings of Buddhism, thousands of years have not left too many traces on the white jade wall. The stone wall is still bright and white, and even a faint trace of golden Buddha light can be seen on it.
The twelve flying carvings are similar in form, but they are different. Some wear a crown, a long skirt tied around the waist, ribbons wrap around the shoulders, and gold chain rings; there are heads and buns, with bare breasts and breasts; there are thin bodies with withered faces; there are strong bodies, with rich faces, and garden lights on their heads. The twelve flying heavens have very different shapes, some of them are on their heads and feet, kicking the purple and gold crown upside down, and the ribbons are flying, some are facing the sky on their backs, and they are swaying upward, some are folded with their hands together, and their faces are sad, some are knotted with lion marks, making King Kong angry eyes, and there are also fingers and flowers, showing joy. Among them, there are many portraits of holding flutes, or holding gonghou, or hanging long drums from their waists, or holding pipa in their arms. The twelve statues flew away in all directions, the streamers fluttered, the ceiling fell, and each had its own divine posture.
Shu Jinran watched all the way, and suddenly realized that his state of mind had unconsciously become extremely peaceful and peaceful, and his pure fist intent, which was flowing all the time, actually stopped without him noticing. It seems that the Buddha's meaning contained in this painting wall is really different, and it can make a seven-grade martial artist deeply immersed in it unconsciously. It is self-evident what kind of Dharma realm the old monk who carved this flying map is.
Turning his head, Shu Jinran suddenly found that Zhuo Yuming was not by his side. Secretly said that he was moving very slowly just now, and the two should still be adjacent to each other, Shu Jin then retreated a few steps, raised his eyes to look at the crowd, and found that Zhuo Yuming, who was dressed as a Confucian in green clothes, was standing quietly in front of one of the flying pictures, not moving at all.
What Zhuo Yuming saw in front of him was a Buddha statue wearing a crown, naked, wearing a long cloth skirt, and a ribbon dragging. The portrait of the person with a sallow face, no eyes lowered, the color of compassion overflowing, hands pinched in front of the chest, is the image of the Bodhisattva with low eyebrows.
This is the third portrait in the order, and when Zhuo Yuming walked in front of this portrait, he suddenly stopped involuntarily. In a trance, the Bodhisattva with low eyebrows and lowered eyes seemed to raise his eyes slightly and glanced at himself.
In my mind, I vaguely heard an ethereal voice sounding in the distance: "Born from no root, there is no trace of coming and going." There is no cause and no job, and walking does not fall into cause and effect. If you hear me, you will see me, and when you see me, you will see me."
Zhuo Yuming's mind was like thunder in an instant, and his heart was in turmoil.
In the past 30 years, he had not read much of the Buddhist scriptures, and he did not understand the true meaning of the Buddha sound in his mind, but there was a mysterious and indescribable feeling in the darkness that hit the depths of his heart and touched a heartstring. He didn't know where this feeling came from or why it came from, but he was thrilled. This was the first time since he cultivated the Dao that his Dao heart was touched, and as soon as the Dao heart was chaotic, there were immediately signs of the growth of demons in his heart. But this demon came out of nowhere, and Zhuo Yuming himself was helpless.
Just when Zhuo Yuming was anxious, a little imperceptible golden aura flew out of that portrait and slowly sank into his eyebrows. The aura fell into the sea of knowledge, and the heart suddenly felt peaceful, and the omen of the demon that was originally about to move also stabilized.
Zhuo Yuming's brows furrowed, and he was full of doubts about what had just happened. It stands to reason that his own cultivation is the Taoist system of the human emperor, and it should have nothing to do with Buddhism and Zen law, and it is impossible that the fluctuations of the human emperor scripture in his body cause the resonance of this portrait. Moreover, there seems to be some implication in the words of the Buddha's verse, which is not aimed at people who are not in this world. But even a monk at the peak of heaven and man like Feng Xing Sword Saint had never noticed the slightest clue, how could this mural have any sense. Zhuo Yuming didn't know why, what caused this portrait, and the Buddha sounded directly in his mind, and a little Buddha aura flowed into his sea of consciousness.
Just as Zhuo Yuming was pondering, a hand suddenly rested on his shoulder.
Zhuo Yuming was already under mental tension, and the sudden touch immediately triggered the aura operating in his body, and the Eight Desolation Divine Knife triggered itself, and a cyan sharp knife rose into the sky, slashing directly at the owner of that hand.
