Chapter 482: Attack
The hottest day since summer is finally coming to an end, and the sky is getting darker. On Magnolia Crescent Street, Mulan Road, three figures appeared outside a playground with a locked gate.
"Alajo Cave opens. A lowered female voice rang out.
"Harry is inside, we've been delaying too long in the shop up front, now we're going to have to keep up a little bit. Alan walked forward on the dry grass.
The reason why they didn't send Maggie here in the past few days but they tried to follow them in person was actually mainly because Alan also wanted to take the opportunity to take Luna and Hermione for a walk in the amusement park where there was basically no one at night, so he should relax.
The playground was as empty as the surrounding streets, and the door to the playground was pulled open by an invisible hand, and after a few seconds, it closed on its own.
"He's there. The three of them did not go any further, and although the light was dim, the boy with messy hair and round-rimmed glasses could be seen sitting on the swing, one arm holding the chain, and his eyes looking melancholy at the ground, swaying slowly for a moment.
"His scar looks like it's hurting again. Hermione whispered in concern as she saw Harry raise her hand and rub the scar on her forehead.
Harry on the swing was thinking about his own thoughts, and Allen, Luna, and Hermione, who were following Harry from afar, vigilantly observed the situation around him.
Night had fallen, a sultry and soft night had arrived, the air was filled with the smell of hot hay, and for a moment all I could hear was the muffled sound of cars coming from the road outside the playground railing.
A commotion broke the silence, and Harry looked up. The streetlamps of the surrounding streets cast a hazy shadow as a group of figures walked through the playground, one humming a vulgar song loudly and the others laughing. There was also a slight dinging sound, which was the sound of a few expensive cars they were pushing away.
It was a Muggle who came first, and Alan recognized it as Harry's cousin, Dudley Dursley, who was now being accompanied by his fox friends on their way home. Dudley was still as tall as ever, but he no longer looked like a fat man, but a muscular and strong young man.
They didn't notice Harry until Dudley said goodbye to his group of friends that Harry jumped off the swing and stepped out from under the tree and started walking back. When he got the letters from his friends, his anger was much lessened, and he didn't want to have any conflict with the hated Dali.
But it backfired, and Dudley was walking leisurely, humming an out-of-tune tune, but the sudden weather made him quicken his pace and trot down the road Harry had just passed.
In a narrow alley, Dalí spotted Harry in front of him and followed him in. The empty alley, because there are no street lights, is much darker than the two streets it connects to. The alley was surrounded by a garage fence on one side and a high fence on the other, making the sound of Harry's footsteps dull. Because of this, the three Alan stopped at the mouth of the alley, paying attention to the movements of Harry and the others.
"Why do you want to avoid me, so your murderous godfather really doesn't want you anymore? Those goddamn owls haven't been here for a long time, so those friends of yours are ignoring you, right?" Dudley smirked, his two thick hands as thick as ham clenched into fists.
Annoyed by Sirius's affairs, Harry aimed his wand at Dudley's heart impartially, "You're going to dare to provoke me when he's not here for a while? Harry snapped, "Got it?"
At that moment, Dudley suddenly shivered strangely, and gasped for air, as if he had been doused with cold water.
In the dark, something strange happened. The dark blue night sky sprinkled with stars suddenly became pitch black, and there was not a trace of light—the stars, the moon, and the dim streetlights at the ends of the alleys all disappeared at once. The rumbling of cars in the distance and the rustling of leaves in the distance were also inaudible. The mild and pleasant night suddenly turned bitterly cold. They were enveloped in impenetrable deep and silent darkness, as if a giant hand had covered the entire alley with a thick curtain of cold, so that they could not see anything.
Dudley's frightened voice pierced everyone's eardrums.
"What are you doing—what are you doing? Stop—stop!"
I didn't do anything! Shut up, don't move!"
"I-I can't see!I-I'm blind! I-"
"I'm telling you to shut up!"
In the midst of Harry's and Dudley's arguments, Hermione drew her wand to exorcise the large, hooded figure as he slid silently towards Harry in the darkness. The figure hovered high above the ground, no feet or face visible under its robes, as if it were devouring the darkness little by little.
But Alan's indistinct male voice suddenly sounded in her heart: "Hermione, you promised not to make a move. Let Harry do it himself. You can save Harry once, but it's impossible for us to be there for Harry every time he's in danger. You have to believe Harry, the prophecy tells me that he was able to cast the Patronus Charm and successfully chase away the Dementors. ”
Hermione nodded silently in the darkness as she looked at Harry, and after a moment of panic, Harry finally found his dropped wand, and he stumbled back a few steps and raised it.
"Divine Guard!"
A puff of silver smoke came out of the wand's head, and the Dementor's movements slowed down, but the spell didn't quite work. Seeing the Dementors coming at him, Harry stumbled on the soles of his feet and took two steps back, panic clouding his mind - focusing on his thoughts - "Calling the Divine Guard!"
His voice seemed vague and distant. Another puff of silver smoke, even weaker than before, erupted from the wand's head—there was nothing he could do, he couldn't recite the incantation.
Hermione was anxious, but didn't move.
"Click, click", Luna seized the opportunity to capture the Dementors using his slimy, crusted gray hands to catch Harry and attack Dalí as a Muggle. Harry tilted his head in confusion, recognizing the sound of the camera pressing the shutter, but he didn't have time to find out in the face of the Dementor attack.
He gasped desperately, thinking desperately about Ginny and the greeting letter they had recently received from Allen, until he finally waved his wand again, and his voice was so sharp that it was not like his own: "Calling God Guard!"
A large silver stag erupted from Harry's wand head, two antlers piercing the Dementor's heart. The Dementors in front of them were knocked backwards and back, as weightless as the darkness around them. The stag circled and rushed to the side, and another Dementor who had attacked Dalí dodged to the side like a bat and fled in a hurry.
The moon, the stars, and the street lamps suddenly shine again. A warm breeze blew through the alley. The rustling of leaves in the neighbor's garden and the earthly sound of cars on Magnolia Crescent Street filled the night sky again.
Dudley was curled up on the ground, twitching and shivering. Harry bent down to see if Dudley could stand up. Just then, he heard heavy running footsteps behind him. Instinctively, he raised his wand again and turned sharply to face the newcomer.
Mrs. Fig, Harry's eccentric old neighbor, appeared before them out of breath. Her gray hair was scattered from her hairnet, she had a tinkling mesh bag hanging from her wrist, and both feet were slipping out of the thick tartan slippers. Harry was about to hide his wand quickly, but listened-
"Don't hide, silly boy!" she screamed, "what if there are still their people around? Oh, I'm going to kill Mundungus Fletsch!"
"We can go back, he won't be in danger. When Mrs. Figg had taken Harry and the others away, Alan said to the two girls beside her.
Back in the Harris Tower, Alan took out some chocolate and handed it to Hermione and Luna, although they didn't face the Dementors directly, but it didn't stop them from eating a piece of fragrant and delicious chocolate to adjust their mood.
"Fudge, are they really going to take Harry to court for using the Patronus Charm in front of Muggles? Article 7 clearly states that magic can be used in the presence of Muggles under special circumstances, including when the life of the wizard himself or other wizards or Muggles present at the same time is threatened, but Harry has been confronted by two Dementors who attacked him, can't we just print out the picture and give it to Harry to prove his innocence so that he doesn't have to go to court? As is customary, the Dementors are supposed to be under the jurisdiction of the Deputy Minister. Hermione swallowed the chocolate, but her clear mind made her feel like she had more to worry about.
"It's true that the Dementors were supposed to be under my father's control, but Fudge didn't want to lose control of the Dementors, believing that he needed to maintain force against the Aurors that we had largely controlled. I don't have the slightest affection for Dementors, and my father's refusal to insist on obtaining jurisdiction over Dementors is precisely because of my advice. Fudge has a witch named Dolores Umbridge, who knows what needs to be done to please Fudge, and the Dementors are assigned to Fudge's responsibility. When I recruited the giants, I predicted that the Dementors would attack Harry, and sure enough, they did show up in Little Wheatkin. Umbridge's ability to buy hearts and minds at the Ministry of Magic and suppress Professor Dumbledore's supporters was most likely not accidental, but that she secretly ordered two Dementors to attack Harry, and even Fudge himself may not have been aware of the attack. ”
Alan took a sip of black tea and continued, "This photo can't be given to Harry right away, if it is given to Harry now, he can indeed prove his innocence." But with Fudge's power over this kind of undisclosed news, he is now fully capable of suppressing public opinion, and the Daily Prophet is also under the control of the Minister of Magic after all, which may even become a new direction for them to attack Harry for lying. And it's not appropriate for us to stand up to Fudge and them right now, and it's not appropriate for "Singing Back" to publish those photos right now. But since the plan to attack Harry didn't work out, then, as I told you on the way back, Umbridge would probably have instigated Fudge to take him to court for Harry's use of the Patronus Charm in front of Dali, and they wouldn't miss the opportunity to strike Dumbledore on it, and all we need to do now is wait for them to make a big deal out of it. The trouble is known to everyone, and then quietly handed over this key piece of physical evidence to Sirius at the beginning of the trial, believing that he who had been wronged by the Ministry of Magic would use this evidence to make Fudge and them embarrassed. Hermione, I know you don't like these conspiracy practices too much, but this will allow them to spend some time on making amends for this mistake, rather than coming up with other ways to prevent Harry from returning to Hogwarts, which is necessary at this stage. ”(https:)
