【Stage Summary】
The main tone of this book is laid from this volume, and what is to be written is not the grievances and hatreds of a few people, nor the chivalrous courage and loyalty of any character, nor the villain mentality of being complacent when he is witty and brave. Celebrities in the rivers and lakes, righteous heroes are also ordinary people psychologically, they have to be just right, they want to be famous, they are warriors, they are chivalrous, but are they heroes?
Confucianism uses literature to mess with the law, and chivalry uses martial arts to violate the ban. However, when Confucianism and law were combined and national studies flourished, the feudal dynasty put heavy shackles on people's thoughts. Can the so-called people who are full of wealth, who sing praises for the rulers, and who wash and bleach the ground for the big bureaucrats, can they still be called Confucianism? Many warriors who are constrained by the ban, some endure and live, some work for the tiger, and some take the opportunity to make profits, can they still be called heroes?
Compared with writing about the grievances and hatreds of the rivers and lakes, the worldview is more akin to the martial arts of the game, I prefer to write about the changes in the trend of the times under the old social system. Compared with the simple alternate history, the injection of martial arts elements will add more legend to the work.
The new school of martial arts in Hong Kong and Taiwan that we are familiar with in the past originated from the old-school martial arts works and historical interpretations written by the storytellers, and added dynastic changes (including real and alternate) to the conflicts and battles of the old martial arts schools to interpret the times, which greatly enriched the content of martial arts, and achieved quite high artistic achievements and social effects under the creation of several masters. As for the new martial arts in the mainland that has been often mentioned in recent years, in terms of personal perception, most of these works are more like a patchwork of elements such as Xianxia fantasy games, and the overall height reached is limited, and a few good works with their own characteristics also have their own limitations, and few can jump out of the cage of their predecessors.
Of course, there are also many shortcomings in this "Knife Catcher", such as serial writing that leads to rough writing in many chapters, mistakes, omissions and contradictions, and the character design as a commercial character is not enough for people to substitute to produce a sense of superiority and so on. But now that the first three volumes have been created, more than 400,000 words, the overall level of the work is satisfactory to me, and the general direction of the plot rhythm is under control, the established outline is firmly completed, and there is no blackening newspaper to the protagonist, all kinds of heroines line up to send approval, the younger brother is beaten by the big brother, and the special life experience leads to the otherworldly relationship, and the chaotic direction of development such as practicing martial arts and breaking the sky and soaring.
[Stems and Quotations]
The sources of some of the stalks in this volume include but are not limited to comic works such as "One Piece" and "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure", which use some martial arts moves in Jin Yong's martial arts works, and use some popular Internet memes such as "Gaimu Owa" in the name of the characters, and the frontispiece is a quote from Wu Yuzhang's poem commemorating Zou Rong.
[A little nonsense]
"The strong are angry, and they draw their blades against the stronger.
The weak are angry and draw their blades against the weaker. ”
- Lu Xun
