Since the whereabouts of Xu Liugongzi were found, the wealthy merchant surnamed Xu immediately hired more than 30 locals, each of whom paid ten taels of silver a day, and asked them to search every inch of land in Mount Emei; as long as anyone could find Xu Liugongzi, he would be rewarded with another 100 taels of silver.
