One thought becomes a Buddha, and one thought becomes a demon. If the third prince really has this heart, the devil is the Buddha. Whether it is a Buddha or a demon, it is only in a thought. “
Shen Changqi shook his head again, looked at Wuxu again, and said, "Huigen can't talk about it, but this king always acts without the word cause and effect. If we are separated from cause and effect, whether we are human beings or demons, what is the meaning? Isn't cause and effect the most important thing in Buddhism?"
"Amitabha," Wu Xuan paused, "Buddhism does value cause and effect. The so-called all laws are empty, and cause and effect are not empty. Bodhisattvas fear causes, and sentient beings fear effects. But the entanglement of cause and effect, so that life and death flow, and the sea of suffering is boundless, why didn't the third prince put down the butcher's knife and become a Buddha on the ground?"
The so-called inseparability from cause and effect in the mouth of the third prince means that there is revenge and revenge, and there is kindness to repay kindness, and if there is any wish, he will go, because this wish also has a cause and a result. This is indeed inseparable from the word cause and effect, but when Buddhism says cause and effect, it means that suffering is empty, and after talking about cause and effect, then it is said to avoid cause and effect, extinguish the outer edge, and nirvana is pure. Otherwise, today's cause, tomorrow's effect, tomorrow's effect, and tomorrow's cause will become tomorrow's cause, entangled and circulating, and will never stop. Wuxu's words are to persuade the third prince to look down on these causes and effects, otherwise he will be blindly entangled in the world, and he will inevitably get lost in the sea of suffering and will not be able to come out.
Shen Changqi suddenly laughed and said, "I heard that the master was almost killed by a lama named Moen, and he also experienced life and death. In this, all kinds of horrors and epiphanies, presumably the master also has. So why doesn't the master go to Lushan now? What is the cause and effect, what are the demons?"
Wuxu only felt that he was drunk as a stick, and sat on the bow of the boat in a daze, stunned.
Morn kills and robs, outsiders know. But who knows that enlightenment is reincarnation and rebirth in this world? To say that after going through life and death, dying in a time and space in the afterlife, and being reborn in the present world, this is the great life and death! Between the great life and death, there is great terror and great understanding. It is to realize the void, only to realize the void, and read that "everything is the law, such as a dream bubble, such as dew and electricity, should be viewed as such", and then he naturally felt it, and read that "color is emptiness, emptiness is color." When you want to do it, you will naturally be happy, and you will want to practice the Dharma and pursue the great path.
However, Wuxu has always had a trace of potential doubts about the reincarnation of good and evil. You are a cow and a horse in this life, and you are bullied by others, because you did evil in your previous life? He now has a lot of wealth, and he is a villager with fish and meat, because he did good deeds and accumulated virtue in his previous life? Some people have done all the bad things and lost all their conscience, but they live well, is it because they have to wait for him to live a long life of 100 years before he has to enter the eighteenth-layer hell? Especially in the era of the end of the Yuan Dynasty, people are not as cheap as dogs, good people do not live long, and evil people are unscrupulous and go unpunished. Could it be that doing good deeds and accumulating virtue in this life is for the sake of being powerful and blessed in the next life, and enjoying the glory and wealth of this world?
Moreover, those monks regard mortals as ants. For these monks, how does the cycle of cause and effect, the cycle of good and evil, that Buddhism talks about, respond?
Because of these doubts and confusion, Wuxu Fang was expelled from the mountain gate by Miaoyin, and inexplicably got close to and loved those White Lotus Sect members who rose up, dared to fight, and were unwilling to go against the grain, and also subconsciously relaxed the precepts, did not quit drinking, and were not afraid of sex.
