Chapter 25: Bodhi Nirvana
No one knew what was happening here at this time, not even his teacher, the Tiger Roar Venerable.
Because this thought is not a normal thought, but the thought of the ancestral spirit.
The ancestral spirit is unique to the power of the ancestral realm, and once the monk enters the ancestral realm, the realm within the realm can be created by his people.
In the Bodhicitta Sutra, there is a hidden realm within such a realm, and as for the pale golden mist, it is not a thought, but it contains a memory left by the person who created this realm. It is a memory recorded in the form of a similar thought. Bai Fan's soul fell into this memory, but he himself was not yet conscious......
In this memory, it is an ancient land with flowers and plants and groups of trees. Suddenly, a hurricane fell from the sky, and in the midst of the hurricane, a blue light shimmered, fell on the earth, and turned into a seed. Over time, the seed was planted in the earth. Then the sun rose and the moon set, the wind and rain, and finally one day, the seed broke through the soil and grew into a seedling, and the seedling branches and buds bloomed and began to grow slowly. After an unknown number of years, the seedling gradually grew into a towering giant tree, the branches of the giant tree are luxuriant, covering the starry sky, and every night, the branches and leaves of the big tree will emit a glowing blue light, which is a different kind of beauty. But this is not the point of memory, the point is that one year a monk came from a distance, the monk was dressed in a wide yellow robe, his head was like a bright moon, and there was wisdom hidden in his eyes, and he walked barefoot step by step towards the giant tree. Eventually, they came under the giant tree. The monk stopped.
Raising his head, the monk saw this towering ancient tree, the monk smiled, he had long heard that there is a sacred tree in the world, which comes from the sky and grows on the earth. And he came specifically to find it. In the words of the monks, this tree is related to him, this fate is the Buddha's fate, to put it more clearly, if he wants to become a Buddha, then this tree is the key to it, this is fate, but also destined. Because from the day a monk steps into practice, he can dream of this tree from time to time.
The Buddhist scriptures say: "Everything has a cause, and the cause is the effect...... which probably means that nothing happens for no reason, and since it appears, then there must be its inevitable cause and effect. At this point, after the monk cultivated to gradually approach the peak of Kyushu and saw his own self, he gradually understood, it turned out that the reason why this tree could grow in Kyushu was actually the fundamental reason for waiting for himself.
It's just because he owes it a promise, and this promise comes from his past life.
It turned out that in the previous life, the predecessor of the monk did not belong to the world of Kyushu, but came from a land called Xianxuan, and in that land, his identity was a Xianmen Tianjiao.
Once, his predecessor went to an ancient place to search for secrets, and by coincidence, he was besieged by a group of monks from other sects, and almost with all his strength, his life was still hanging by a thread, and at the moment when he was about to fall, a dryad suddenly rushed out of the ancient land.
Not only did the dryad resolve his death, but somehow helped him drive away the monks who were plotting against him. You know, this is not an ordinary favor, but a life-saving grace. Naturally, the predecessor could not turn a blind eye to it.
So, out of emotion, the predecessor promised the Dryad that if one day, the predecessor could prove the Great Dao, then he would definitely take the Dryad to break through the void and see the broader world. And precisely, this is the only purpose for the dryad to save him. Maybe it's really the Dryad Extraordinary, but in the dark, I can feel that one day the predecessor can really prove the Great Dao, and only then did I appear and form this good relationship with the predecessor. It's a pity that in the end, the predecessor finally offended some terrible people because of something, and finally failed to attain the Great Dao, so he was strangled and died in advance.
And at the moment when the body of the predecessor died, the dryad also cut itself off from life after sensing it from afar, and with all its vitality, it turned into a seed, poured into the river of reincarnation to find the trajectory of the reincarnation of the predecessor, and came to the land of Kyushu together.
It wasn't until the monk stepped into the practice and the seed broke through the ground, and through the karmic trajectory of the previous life, the giant tree often appeared in the monk's dreams, which is a constant reminder to the monk not to forget the promise of the previous life.
If the monks in this life are still cultivating immortals, perhaps even if this power of cause and effect has an impact, it will not be so strong. However, it is a pity that the monk has stepped into the Buddha's path, so the influence of this power of cause and effect is difficult to ignore. Because Buddhism attaches the most importance to cause and effect, there is a warning proverb that all laws are empty, but cause and effect are not empty, and they have been passed down from generation to generation. And if you want to become a Buddha, you must not fail the common beings, which naturally include all things in heaven and earth.
That's why the monk came to look for the tree, because he wanted to fulfill his promise from his previous life and take it with him. The monk stroked the body of the giant tree and recalled with a slight emotion.
"Tree, tree, today I came, I walked thousands of miles, crossed millions of domains, all because I know, you can't wait, and I also understand that I really lost you in my previous life. But it doesn't matter, in this life, I came with a promise that if I become a Buddha, then you will be enlightened forever......"
Hearing the monk say this, the giant tree suddenly shook, and the huge branches drooped slightly, and fell on the monk's face, as if happy, and felt happy at what the monk said.
"Hehehe......" The monk clasped his palms together, smiled slightly, and then sat down cross-legged, just under the giant tree, and began to chant for a long time.
In the blink of an eye, a thousand years have passed, and under the sound of the monks' incessant chanting, the giant tree can be said to have undergone earth-shaking changes, the most obvious of which is its color, which has changed from the previous emerald green to endless blood.
It was as bright red as a brilliant red crystal, but don't think that this is a good thing, because the appearance of the giant tree at this time is extremely hideous and terrifying, and you can see that its body is rising, revealing an indescribable gloomy evil. That's not all, the branches that covered the sky and the sun evolved into endless claws at this time, mercilessly and continuously attacking the monks frantically.
In the face of this scene, the monk didn't even open his eyes, and let those claws continue to fall on him. Strangely, the monk didn't even hurt half a point.
And so, after another thousand years, the giant tree began to become quiet again, and not only that, but even the branches that had turned into devil's claws did not know when they regained their original form. And this is all thanks to the Buddhist scriptures that are constantly chanted in the mouths of monks.
At its root, Buddhist scriptures themselves have the ability to neutralize all the evil in the world. And the giant tree, formerly known as the tree demon, although its spiritual understanding is good, but there are still evil thoughts in it, so the monks continue to chant Buddhist scriptures, in order to use the ability of Buddhist scriptures to destroy the evil thoughts of the tree demon, so that it only has pure good thoughts, so that the giant tree can finally preach. And the blood-red giant tree before was the complete manifestation of his evil thoughts.
Fortunately, this evil thought has gradually quieted down and begun to subside in the continuous transformation of the Buddhist scriptures, which shows in disguise that the giant tree is approaching the edge of the path, and it is only a matter of the passage of time before it finally becomes enlightened. This is not boring for monks.
For another thousand years, the blood red was gone, the giant tree was even more green and bright, and between the branches and leaves, it was unconsciously covered with pale golden lines, but the monk opened his eyes at this time and looked up at the sky, where the monk saw the illusory outline of Kyushu. The monk knew that it was a projection of the Kyushu continent, and as long as he smashed the projection, he could break the rules of Kyushu, truly become a Buddha, and enter the ancestral realm. Eventually, however, the monk just looked at it, closed his eyes again, and continued to chant the sutras. Because he understands that if the giant tree does not become enlightened, then he will not be able to break the shadow at all, only because of his own way.
It's not perfect.
Another seven thousand years passed, and finally the whole body of the giant tree was shining with golden light, and it rose from the ground with a bang, rushing to the sky, and at this moment, the monk stood up, and the footsteps were stepped, and the ripples were instantly filled, and the monk appeared, already standing on the branches of the giant tree.
"Amitabha, 10,000 years together, Brother Shu, you are finally complete today, so now the poor monk will take that step with you, preach the ancestral realm, and travel in a broader world from now on......"
The monk said, his palms were folded, a monk and a tree, and he crashed into the phantom of Kyushu with a bang. At the same time, the land of Kyushu, the mountains shook, and countless ancient beings broke out of the barrier, stepped into the air, staring at the monks and the giant trees, and when they witnessed the great power descended from the heavens and quickly condensed the realm of the ancestral spirit behind the two, they knew that on the land of Kyushu, there were two ancestors like power.
"Amitabha, Bodhi has no tree, the mirror is not a platform, there is nothing originally, where is the dust...... Farewell, all the living beings in Kyushu ......" After saying that, the monk and the giant tree stepped into the sky and dissipated in everyone's sight. And just where the two dissipated, a piece of jade slip fell, and on top of the jade slip, there were four eye-catching big characters "Bodhicitta Sutra", the memory came to an abrupt end here, and Bai Fan's soul was also forcibly sent back to the body at this moment.
In the room, Bai Fan woke up blankly, and at the first moment of awakening, he noticed that he had a method in his mind, and naturally there was a method that he had never seen before, and this method was ......
"Bodhi...... Nirvana...... Meritorious ......"
