Chapter Twenty-Five: Saving the Homeless and Her Past Life.
I still remember that time, near my house, there was a wandering old lady, who seemed to be a little hungry and fainted, I saw it, so I bought some food and water for the old lady, she ate it immediately, and she had spirit, and then I gave her the Buddha beads, and I told her, read the Buddha more, it took the Buddha beads and always went to worship sincerely, this thought of respect made the old lady plant the seeds of the Buddha, and the future will be saved, and once there was a young homeless man on the side of the street, the weather was very hot, I bought a big bucket of water, and some food for him, and then gave him a paper with a picture of the Buddha to him I told her to worship the Buddha and recite the Buddha, and he looked at the pictures of the Buddha and Bodhisattva very seriously, so as to plant the seeds of the Buddha in this way, and I hope that everyone who reads the experience I share will have compassion and bodhichitta and do their best to benefit sentient beings.
Yesterday I dreamed that I killed a cockroach, and then the cockroach turned into a gecko and bit my foot, and then I killed it, and then it became a grasshopper Later, I caught him, and the grasshopper said to let him go, recalling that when I didn't study Buddhism before, I often killed whether it was a cockroach or a gecko or a grasshopper, and I often killed a small insect when I rode an electric car, or suddenly came to my mouth, this is all after the death of the animal, some become other animals, and continue to find the same person to take revenge, so I have to repent of the past killing karma, yesterday there was a dream that I dreamed of my object, he and my previous life, in the previous life we knew each other, at that time in the previous life we also married, in the previous life she was called Liu YananLike the habits of this life, everyone knows each other for a reason, there are debts, debts to repay debts, and to continue the previous relationship, and the relationships in this world are complicated.
Lengyan Sutra: You bear my life. I repay your debts. It's karma. After hundreds of eons. Always in life and death. Thou hast loved my heart. I pity you. It's karma. After hundreds of eons. Always entangled. Only killing, stealing, and prostitution are fundamental. It's karma. Karma continues. ”
If you owe my life, you will pay back my life. I owe you my life, and I will pay back your life, and the so-called murder pays for life, and debts must be repaid to each other. Even if you are lucky enough to not pay it back in this life, but after thousands of eons, when the grudge meets, it will also have to be repaid. For this reason, sentient beings are often in the sea of life and death suffering, and cannot leave. Love is born of ignorance, you cherish my heart, I also pity your lust, this is ignorance and confusion karma as the cause, the present is the fate, want to love forever and be united, do not want to separate. After a thousand eons, they are all entangled by lust and love, and they cannot be separated.
When I didn't study Buddhism before, I often used fire to play with insects, after studying Buddhism, I felt that I was very cruel, and I put my happiness on other creatures, such happiness was wrong, I deeply blamed myself for what I had done in the past, I was wrong, there was food and clothing at home, how could I torture and kill small animals, when I was a child playing with matches, my fingers burned and hurt for a while, and once I accidentally burned my calf by a motorcycle, my own injuries hurt so much, animals hurt by people and it hurts, think about the moment when those living animals are killed, my heart is brought a strong resentment, at this time the flesh produces toxinsIf you eat the flesh of all living beings, please try to cut the flesh, how much pain you have, how much pain the animal will have, we cut vegetables, cut yourself to the pain and bleed, the same is the same with our flesh and blood.
In the Vinaya Sutra, it is recorded that there was a man who loved his son very much and created a lot of karma for him. When he was dying, he couldn't let go of his son and was reincarnated as a cow of his own. The son killed it and ate the beef. When he died, he was reborn as his own cow, and his son killed him again. He was reincarnated as his own cow for the third time, and when his son was about to kill it, the Venerable Sariputta appeared at his door, and through his supernatural observation, he found that the cow had been talking to himself, "I have been here twice, but you have killed both of them." My beloved son, now that you are going to kill me again, I am very uncomfortable, I can't bear it, but I can't resist it. The Venerable Sariputta told his son about this, and later released the cow. Therefore, the meat we usually eat is likely to be a relative in a previous life.
Generally speaking, according to the viewpoint of the Ranga Sutra, all the meat we enjoy now is closely related to our relatives in the past, such as the Sutra: "I am a relative of the people, and I am more like meat." "If you eat beef, the cow is your relative in your previous life, and if you eat pork, the pig is also your relative in your previous life. Therefore, it is best to be able to skip meat, everyone must understand this truth, and let's quit vegetarianism together. Lengyan Sutra: People die as sheep, sheep die as people, devour each other to collect debts, that is, you eat animals, animals will also come to eat you, and turn each other to collect debts and retaliate. Thinking of one of my cousins and my dad and my cousin's dad, 3 people sat in a car, my cousin was driving, and there was a car accident, I sincerely chanted the Buddha and prayed for the blessings of the Buddha, and I wanted to know what the reason was, and that night I dreamed of my cousin's mother in my previous life, and he said that I was your cousin's mother in his previous life, and the pork he ate was me, and I was unwilling so I came to take revenge, and your father, and my cousin's father, because he also ate my meat, so I was unwilling, so I took revenge on you. Now we understand that everything is cause and effect.
Excerpt from "The Ten Evils of the Great Buddha Huayan Sutra" Ka Ye Bodhisattva asked the Buddha: World-honored, if you come to explain to me, how many blessings will you get if you don't drink alcohol or eat meat?
The Buddha told Kasya: If someone gives alms like horses, cattle and sheep, glass treasures, and wives of the country, his merit is not as good as one of the merits of someone who can cut off wine and meat;
If someone gives alms to three thousand worlds with a hundred thousand taels of gold, his merit is not as good as one of the merits of someone who can cut off wine and meat.
If someone casts a golden body like a human and gives alms, his merit is not as good as one of the merits of someone who can cut off wine and meat.
If someone makes a man-made banner and fills the three thousand worlds, his merit is not as good as one of the merits of someone who can cut off wine and meat.
If there is a man-made large floating pagoda, the eaves are connected, such as rice, hemp, bamboo and reeds, up to Brahma, its merit is not as good as one of the merits of someone who can cut off wine and meat.
