Chapter 109: Letters

Alan was very curious and followed, he was not the only one doing this, the little wizards were very curious, what happened, who was going to be unlucky?

Following Filch, the fast-running administrator, everyone went straight to the fifth basement classroom, where the four third-year Gryffindor students were blocked. A few mutilated frogs were scattered on the table and on the floor, and the frogs' white, lifeless eyes stared silently at the ceiling, which was smeared with splashes of frog brains.

Lady Loris ran to Filch's feet, screaming one piercing scream, two yellow eyes as bright as lamps staring at the four Gryffindors with condemnation in their eyes.

Lady Loris, the scrawny grey cat is heavily used by Administrator Argus Filch as his deputy in the endless battles between him and the students.

"Dirty!" Filch shouted angrily, his nose unusually red. His eyes bulged out strangely, and the flesh on his chin trembled, "It's dirty everywhere, it's a mess everywhere! Tell you, I've had enough! Shut up, all of you have to be locked up!"

The Gryffindors sadly followed Filch out of the classroom, and Lady Loris's big yellow eyes swirled around the young wizards who were watching, as if wondering if the students were unreliable and mischievous. As if sure of something, Mrs. Loris left the classroom with a brisk jump.

Seeing that there was no excitement to see, the onlookers left the classroom in twos and threes, after all, it was very uncomfortable to stay in the dark and damp underground classroom in such bad weather. Perhaps it was for this reason that the four Gryffindors chose this place as the place where they conducted their experiments.

Alan lazily pulled his wand out of his sleeve, "Gone, cleaned up, and restored." A few spells were skillfully and smoothly cast, and the frog remains scattered in the classroom disappeared without a trace, all the desks and chairs were as bright as new, and the ceiling returned to its white complexion.

Alan is not indiscriminate, but compassionate. He felt pity for Filch, the administrator, who was a Squib and had a bad cold. What's more, cleaning up these things is just a matter of fingers for Allen, and it can be done in an instant. In the case of Filch, he may have to endure the pain of illness and a busy morning to remove all the stains.

Alan was puzzled by hiring a Squib to be the caretaker of Hogwarts. For Filch, he has no magic himself, but he has to watch young wizards grow up, and he has to work hard and spend a lot of energy on things that can be done with a single spell. How could he be balanced? How could he not have ill will towards the little wizards!

Maybe no wizard wants to do such a trivial thing...... It's really not an attractive job for wizards.

"What a spell! This behavior is very commendable!" a voice came, and Alan looked back at Nick, who was almost headless. He wore a fashionable hat with feathers buttoned into his long cure, and wore a knee-length tunic with a wheel-like ruffled collar that concealed the fact that his neck had been almost completely severed. He floated like a wisp of smoke in front of Alan.

"You look nervous!" Alan could tell Nick's anxious state at a glance.

"Yes, I'm waiting for a very important reply. Nick said seriously.

Alan guessed at once what he was waiting for, but he wisely didn't ask. How hopeful Nick is now, how disappointed he will be when he receives the letter!

But apparently, Nick desperately needs someone to share his feelings, even if it's against a Ravenclaw. "It's the Headless Hunters! I applied to them, and I'll get a reply from them today!"

"With all due respect, you were already a knight when you were alive, why do you care so much about the position of a headless hunter, Sir Patrick Bodmore?" Alan knew that Nick couldn't be a member of the Headless Hunters, but he was very curious why Nick cared so much about a juggling team, he was a knight when he was alive!

"Well, how can I say it? The experiences and honors in life have turned into the past, and the fame and fortune you have gained have no effect on the afterlife. For ghosts, it is very boring and frustrating to live a long life and only see living people enjoying food and enjoying life, watching others create and change the world, while we can't touch anything, we can't do anything. There was no sadness in Nick's statement, and perhaps his long career had made him see these things very clearly.

"But like the Headless Hunters, they often have fun events like horseback juggling and overhead polo. You can also participate in various banquets held by ghosts, and everyone is proud to have them participating. Speaking of his favorite team of headless hunters, Alan felt that Nick's transparent eyes were glowing.

Just then, a transparent owl flew into the underground classroom with a transparent letter in its mouth. Alan really learned that animals can also turn into ghosts! And the letters used to communicate between ghosts are transparent!

However, Allen, who guessed the contents of the letter, was unwilling to linger any longer, it was sad to see other people's hopes shattered, and Alan did not want to see Nick's gaffe. Allen thinks Nick needs a quiet space to sort out his emotions.

"Sir Patrick Bodmore, I have other things to do, and I'm going to take you farewell!" said Allen, politely.

Nick's mind was completely occupied by the transparent letter, and he waved his hand and let Alan go.

Alan left the gloomy underground classroom, and it was still raining outside, although it was not as sharp as it was in the morning, but it also left many young wizards indoors.

On the first floor of the castle, as I passed by Filch's office, the door to Filch's office suddenly opened, and the four third-year Gryffindor students left with a look of disbelief on their faces, while an owl flew out.

It seems that Mr. Filch has also received a letter that makes him very happy, otherwise these Gryffindors, who had just made him angry, could have been let go so easily!

In the evening, Harry comes to Ellen and invites him to join Nick, who is almost headless, for his death party. Alan felt that he was already very kind, but Harry was simply too kind!

"Harry, it's going to be a Halloween party! I've heard Professor Flitwick say that Professor Dumbledore has booked a skeleton dance troupe to cheer everyone up. I have absolutely no interest in attending the ghost's death party. Directly rejecting Harry, Alan felt that his previous decision not to stay in front of Nick for a long time was very wise!

Harry also told Alan about the letter Filch had received today. Harry soiled the castle at night and was caught in the office by Filch and locked up, where he found Filch writing a reply letter to sign up for a quick spell letter lesson.

Allen said that I'm afraid that for the Squib, any correspondence lectures are useless.

What Alan didn't expect was that after he washed up and was about to go to bed, he also received a letter!
