Ninety-two Turtle Island (Part I) (Subscription Requested!)

It wasn't long before Changqingzi finally found his target, and from a distance, it was indeed a rather towering island in the sea. Pen ~ fun ~ Pavilion www.biquge.info the island is verdant, the vegetation is very lush, there seem to be many buildings and houses, and there seem to be a lot of people.

However, when they flew nearby, Chang Qingzi even controlled the golden eagle to circle around the "island", Huang Chang and Wu Daniu were stunned to find that those grass and wood houses were not grown or built on land, but on the back shell of a huge turtle!

The whole "island" turned out to be a large turtle floating on the sea, but the back shell was piled up with a lot of dirt and rocks, and from a distance it looked like an ordinary island. It was only when you got close that you could see the turtle's head, which was too large to retract into its shell, and the four huge paws of its feet looming beneath the water's surface. However, the soles of the feet were also motionless, and the entire Giant Turtle Island seemed to be drifting slowly along some current.

The giant turtle appears to be asleep at the moment, with both eyes closed. I don't know how long I slumbered, and even the dirt on my eyelids was piled up, and trees grew. Why do you know that it is only sleeping and not dead?--Because even if Huang Chang failed to break through the induction barrier, even if he flew in the sky, he could feel an incomparably majestic life force emanating from the location of the giant tortoise in all directions. It was a very clear feeling that there could be no other creature other than the giant tortoise that could send such a strong signal of life.

Humans are obviously not the only ones who feel this way, as countless schools of fish and seabirds of all sizes surround the island and follow it. These animals also felt the life force of the giant tortoise, and they should be able to get some benefits from it, so they have been following it like this.

Interestingly, these animals, no matter how big or small, are very "harmonious" with each other, and those predators who are very fierce in other places, such as whale sharks, snake lizards, giant eagles, etc., are all crowded together with the surrounding small fish and birds, and there is no intention of hunting and hunting at all.

"This place is called Tianzen Taoist Temple, and it is the leader in today's Buddhist cultivation immortal gate. Although there are no Yuanying monks in their sect at present, the entire Zen Academy is built on the backbone of the Divine Beast Xuanwu, and with this Divine Beast Xuanwu whose strength is even greater than that of the Yuanying Great Monk, the position of the Tianzen Taoist Academy in the world's immortal sects is recognized as another major sect second only to our West Kunlun and Dongqi Mountain. ”

Although he had already flown to the side of the island, Changqingzi had no intention of landing immediately, not even directly above it, but only controlled the giant eagle to hover around it, as if waiting for something. At the same time, by the way, Huang Chang and Wu Daniu also informed Huang Chang and Wu Daniu of the basic situation of the following Zen temple.

"Buddha cultivates immortal gate...... Monk Temple?"

Huang Chang was very interested when he heard this, as early as when he was reading various documents in the library pavilion, he learned that in this world, which was similar to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period in the previous life, there were already Buddhist monks and Buddhist thoughts, and their teachings were very different from the traditional Taoist ideas of respecting the ancestors of heaven and earth in Shenzhou, and they were inherited from another continent overseas. But this religion is not new to Huang Chang - it is similar to the Buddhism he came into contact with in his previous life.

However, in this world, the status of Buddhism and Taoism is very different from his previous life. In Huang Chang's previous life, Buddhism was far more prosperous than Taoism in most eras. Here, although Buddhism has spread for thousands of years, it is far from reaching the height of Huang Chang's previous life, and it has not occupied much of a position in the beliefs of the common people.

In most places, people still respect Taoist priests more, and at most, they don't discriminate against monks - of course, this is the state of affairs among mortals, and for immortal cultivators with magical powers, it must be extremely reverent.

And the reason for this situation, Huang Chang also analyzed it by himself at that time, and roughly felt that there were three reasons. The most important and fundamental factor is that Buddhism advocates the cultivation of merit in the next life, while Taoism delves into the method of immortality in this life. The afterlife is illusory, and no one can say what will happen after rebirth. And whether there is longevity in this life is really visible - in the material world of Huang Chang's previous life, it is impossible for people to achieve immortality, no matter how the Taoists blow the sky, people should die when they are seventy or eighty, and the cowhide is repeatedly blown off, so it is naturally not easy to get the faith of the people. And although the set of things preached by Buddhism is illusory, it will not be openly exposed and slapped in the face, so that it can be slowly developed.

And in this Xianxia world, under the influence of various supernatural factors, it may be difficult for a cultivator to live forever, but it is relatively easy to prolong life. In this way, the Taoist concept of cultivating this life is definitely much more popular than the Buddhist saying that "you will endure hardships in this life and enjoy happiness in the next life", and it is natural that you will develop better.

The second reason is the difference in the attitude of the ruling class - Buddhism advocates that believers should endure the suffering of the present in order to cultivate the next life, which is precisely the demand of the ruling class in the past, so in Huang Chang's previous life, the revival of Buddhism was often the result of collusion with the ruling regime. But in this world, the secular ruling power has no binding force on the Xianmen at all, and no matter how much the Buddhists get the proximity of the secular rulers, it will not affect the ranking in the Xianxia world, and everything has to rely on its own strength to speak.

And this is also the third reason why the power of Buddhism in Shenzhou is not as good as that of Taoism - Buddhism is a foreign sect after all, although it has been inherited in this land for thousands of years, but after all, it is not as deep as the local immortal sect, not to mention anything else, there are two major sects of Kunlun and Qishan pressed on the top, no matter how powerful the Tianchan Taoist Academy is, it can only be ranked third. As a Zen Buddhist practice, there is a word "Tao" in the name, presumably in order to follow the local customs.

Changqingzi hovered in the air and waited for a moment, and soon there was a reaction in the Zen courtyard below-only to see a snow-white lotus flower slowly floating up, and a monk with clear eyebrows stood on it. At first glance, this person seems to be very young, but if you look closely, between his eyebrows, it seems that he has been in the world for a long time, and it is impossible to judge the approximate age.

And when he raised his eyes to look over here, Huang Chang even felt that there was a faint golden light flashing in his eyes. Even a mortal himself can feel that his strength must be extremely profound, but he is also full of a sense of compassion, which makes people feel respect at the sight of it.
