He asked three questions in a row, first at the beginning of the usual question, and then immediately sent out the second and third questions, both of which were sharp and very different from the first question. It's like pulling you first, and giving you a kick right away, which makes people breathless.
In the face of Zhishan's questioning, the young monk calmly offered the tea to Zhishan and said, "Please drink tea." ”
Zhishan said: "You answered my question, I won't be too late to drink." ”
The young monk smiled faintly and continued, "Please drink tea. ”
Zhiyuan said: "You little monk doesn't know anything, my senior brother asks you, if you can't answer, you can't answer, how to turn it over and over is a sentence." ”
The young monk said, "I have already answered the first question. ”
Zhiyuan said: "You just answered that you asked for tea, which is also called the answer?"
The young monk smiled slightly: "Master Zhishan asked me about my birth, with the aim of using ordinary questions to test whether I have the ability to study the Dharma. I invite the master to drink tea, so that the master will not be confused by the Zen machine, but can enjoy the true taste of tea in the moment, so that the mind is not prejudiced, tea is tea, and the essence of all things is also the same, so that the mind can naturally understand the Dharma. ”
After he finished speaking, he looked at Zhishan and said, "Master, am I right?"
Jiseon finally took the tea and smiled, "Yes, please continue." ”
The young monk continued: "The master's question, 'How is my hand like a Buddha's hand?' means that everyone has Buddha nature and can become a Buddha, so the master's hand is naturally similar to the Buddha's hand. ”
Zhi Yuan couldn't help but nod and said, "How do you solve the third question?"
The young monk said lightly: "Whether it is the Buddhas, dragons, elephants, or sentient beings, horses and cows, they are all the same in essence and there is no difference, so the master's feet are naturally like donkey's feet." ”
Zhishan sighed and said: "Lanruo Temple really hides the dragon and crouching tiger, and the poor monk has learned it." ”
Zhi Yuan saw that his senior brother had the intention of bowing down, so he said: "I have one last question, if any of you can answer it, we Baoguang Temple will not compete with Lanruo Temple for the quota of admission to the palace teaching this year." ”
