23. Cultivating the Immortal Realm (Part II)
The attitude of the monk towards mortals is generally like this, but if he encounters a fellow Taoist in the immortal cultivation world, let alone if the other party is a powerful senior, or has a deep background, should he grovel and give what he wants?
-- Dreaming. Pen %Fun %Pavilion www.biquge.info everyone is walking on the road of cultivating immortals, you enter the country faster, the first to reach, I respect you as a senior, polite between words, if there is a conflict in the needs of acting, then I am not as good as people can only back down, that is. But if you still have to make inches, you will be arrogant, and you will even try to insult or enslave other cultivators. Or if you don't have a high art career but want to bully others, then nine times out of ten, people will definitely bite you even if they fight to die.
ββAre cultivators afraid of death? They are very afraid, and they will try their best to find various ways to prolong their lifespan in order to take an extra step on the path of cultivating immortals. But if you try to force a monk to do something against his heart, in most cases, they would rather die than give in. At times like these, they don't care about death at all.
As for the root of the reason, it lies in two words: "inner demons".
According to Chang Qingzi, immortal cultivators who refine their bodies and become enlightened, in addition to refining their bodies, they also cannot relax in the cultivation of their inner souls. After the Fa Yuan period, the cultivation of the mind and soul is even more important. Especially when it comes to each advanced breakthrough, the heavenly tribulation encountered by the monk is not only that there will be real calamities such as thunder, fire, and wind in the material world, but also that the monk's spirit and soul will also encounter the invasion of extraterritorial heavenly demons or all kinds of evil spirits and evil thoughts, intending to seize this Dharma Yuan Immortal Body that is about to succeed and use it for his own use.
At that time, in the minds of immortal cultivators, the past events will be vividly remembered, their hearts are like a peaceful lake, their views are like the sea, and all kinds of past events they have experienced from childhood to adulthood will come to mind one by one. If there is a defect that has not been dealt with perfectly, and there are defects that lead to regret, it will become a gap in the heart, and then it will become a flaw that is attached to and used by the demons in the heart, and it will jump out all the time, and at least it will lead to the inability to calm down, it will be difficult to cultivate, and naturally there will be no further breakthroughs. In the worst case, the mind is out of control, crazy dancing, and even going wrong in the exercises, and it is inevitable that they will go crazy.
"Therefore, monks attach great importance to the word 'cause and effect': if you have received a favor from others, you must find a way to repay it, otherwise you will feel guilty in your heart, and it will inevitably turn into a heavy burden in the future. In the same way, what if you are insulted? -- you have to breathe this out as soon as possible, so that you can be free of any obstacles. Otherwise, if it accumulates in your heart for a long time, it will become a stinger, and at the critical moment, it may jump out and stab you. β
"We and other cultivators, who are not arrogant, no matter how big the difference in strength is, it is easy to kill them, but it is difficult to ask them to bend their knees and surrender and be willing to be humiliated!"
- This is the reason why Chang Qingzi said that most monks are unwilling to be angry - if it is an ordinary mortal, when faced with external threats and insults, it may choose to endure the anger for a while, and even if you think about it in the future, at most you will feel uncomfortable. But for the monk, this is a fatal thing - if the other party's realm far exceeds his own, it is just that, for example, Jin Dan is against Qi refining, then the latter can't afford to resist. But what if the difference in strength between the two sides is not too far?
The Immortal Dao technique is ever-changing, even if you can't beat it, can you escape? If you really want to fight with all your might, even if you die, you won't have any regrets, and it is easier to achieve a breakthrough in this state of wholehearted devotion, among the various rumors in the world of cultivating immortals, there are not a few examples of those who suddenly improve their realm in the battle of life and death, and then turn weak into strong, and turn defeat into victory.
If you encounter a situation where the strength of the two sides is too different, and there is no chance at all-such as refining qi against Fa Yuan, or even Jin Dan Yuan Infant, etc., then it will be simple - anyway, there is no chance, if you should die, you will fall, no matter what the outcome is, it is not possible to change it by your own ability, then you will feel at ease when you think back later, and you will generally not leave a knot.
But if you are obviously capable of fighting, but give in because of fear, timidity, etc., then even if you survive this time, you will leave a great flaw in your soul from now on. Regret, pain, humiliation...... Sooner or later, all kinds of negative emotions will come one after another, and evil thoughts will inevitably take advantage of the void. In the future, even if cultivation is not beneficial, it will inevitably be thorny step by step, especially when breaking through the realm and overcoming the tribulation, it will be greatly hindered.
If you want to solve this situation, you can either find the original perpetrator and get rid of this breath, or you can solve it on your own and forcibly make up for this flaw in your heart - neither of which is so easy to do, it is better to fight bravely at that time.
In the face of people who are stronger than themselves, it is still like this, and for those who are not as capable as their own immortals, of course, they will not be pretentious - they may be perfunctory on the surface when they are insignificant, but if it really involves the substance, those who shout "My father/my master is XXX" is purely a joke.
What's more, immortal cultivators have an extremely long lifespan, and if they really want to spread their branches, they will inevitably have a lot of descendants in their lifetime, and even more so apprentices. And if there is too much, it is not valuable, unless it is a child who has grown up with him, or a disciple who gets along with him day and night, the relationship will be deeper, otherwise the descendants who have been separated by dozens or hundreds of years, even if they are related by blood, it is impossible to be pampered and protected like mortals, and it is unlikely that they will carry the causal trouble they have caused on themselves - the concept of kinship and bloodline of mortals in the world cannot be applied to immortal cultivators.
Therefore, the path of cultivation is also the cultivation of the mind, and the firmness of the mind of the cultivator is beyond the imagination of ordinary people. Most of the monks interact with each other only according to their own hearts, and their likes and dislikes are clear, and there is very little phenomenon of subservience to others. Those who change the name of the drama that depicts the underworld of the rivers and lakes, the intrigue in the officialdom and the court, and the deceit of others to describe the cultivators like us are too ignorant. β
With this gentle sentence, Chang Qingzi criticized most of the Xianxia novels that Huang Chang had read in his previous life as worthless, and then changed his words:
"Since you have said this, Huang Chang, there is another sentence that you must remember: Cultivation is to cultivate the mind, and cultivation of the mind must be correct. If you don't have the right heart, you will inevitably encounter many disasters and even disasters in the future. β
-- Although theoretically speaking, whether or not demons appear depends entirely on each person's own judgment, and whether a person has a positive or negative attitude towards his or her own actions, to put it bluntly, is the level of self-confidence, and there is no good or evil. A person who is always kind to others and has made great merits and good deeds, when he breaks through the realm, he must be full of self-confidence in retrospect, and he is not afraid of the attack of demons. And even if another person does bad things, others regard him as the devil, but as long as he is at peace and takes all this for granted, the demon will not find him. That is to say, the so-called "Heavenly Way is constant, not to survive in Yao, not to perish" -- as long as you recognize your own "Dao", you can follow the Tao and go on the road of immortals.
