Chapter 112: Monk Asks (Asking for a Monthly Pass)
Miaose's realm is clever, and it can be seen at once that Ji Xiao has trained the tiger and leopard thunder sound to the bones. But after Ji Xiao's pronunciation, there was no change in his body.
He frowned and pondered for a while, then said, "Your current situation is very special, if you don't follow me to see my senior brother, he may have a way to help you." ”
The only person in Nalanda Temple who can be worthy of Senior Brother Miaose is the Dharma Master.
Since the death of Qingyu Immortal, if there is anyone who is worthy of the first monk in the world, I am afraid that only the Dharma Master. Ji Xiao was of course curious about this great monk, and since Miaose was willing to take him to see the Dharma Master, Ji Xiao happily followed.
Immediately, Miao Se took Ji Yu to the holy place that most monks in the world yearn for, the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion of Nalanda Temple.
There are as many as 9 million volumes of scriptures in the Scripture Pavilion, and even the most important scripture in the world, the Wordless Sutra, is also placed in the Scripture Pavilion. But no one has ever been able to type the idea of the wordless scripture, because the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion is not only guarded by the souls left by countless monks, but also the Dharma Master sits here all the year round.
Even the peerless monk who ascends to the immortal and breaks the void may not be able to come and go freely in the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion.
However, Nalanda Monastery has never regarded the Pavilion as a forbidden place for others to set foot in, and many high-ranking people have come to the Pavilion throughout the ages, read the precious books inside, and left their own things.
Otherwise, the birth of as many as 9 million volumes of scriptures would definitely not be enough just by the painstaking efforts of the monks of Nalanda Monastery in the past generations.
After Ji Xiao entered the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion, his first feeling was to give birth to a heart of divine awe, which was not the awe of people, but the awe of wisdom.
There are three floors in the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion, the first floor is placed with classics, the second layer is magical spells, and the third floor only has a book, without words.
The Dharma Master is on the first floor all year round.
When Ji Xiao and Miaose went to see him, he was reciting a Buddhist scripture.
For a person like him, no matter what Buddhist scriptures he is, he should be very familiar with them. But he still recites it seriously and meticulously.
is like a dull old pedant, more like the world-shaking Nalanda Temple.
There are no Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the world, and if there is, only this Dharma Master can afford it.
But his posture of reciting sutras is no different from that of a young monk who is new to Buddhism.
Ji Xiao could see that he was from the heart.
Miaose is slow to treat the Dharma because he has his own Dharma.
The Dharma Master is in awe of the Dharma, because the Dharma deserves his reverence.
These are two different people, but they both have achieved something that is enviable.
A volume of scriptures is not long, and the Dharma Master did not let Ji Xiao wait too long, and quickly finished reciting the Buddhist scriptures. He smiled and motioned for Ji Xiao to sit down and speak. So he sat down casually in the sea of books.
The scent of books surrounds you more than any spice.
Miao Se first told the Dharma Master about Ji Xiao's situation.
The Venerable Master bowed his head lightly and asked, "Mu Zhenzi Daoyou, before that, the old monk wants to ask you some questions. ”
Ji Xiao said: "The Dharma Master, please ask." ”
The Dharma Master said, "What are you practicing for?"
Ji Xiao thought for a moment and said, "It should be to be able to do what you want to do." ”
The Dharma Master smiled, "I'm afraid that the real Divine Immortal Buddha won't be able to do what he wants." ”
Ji Xiao said: "But the higher the cultivation, the more things can be fulfilled, I don't want to be perfect, I just want to be perfect." ”
After he finished speaking, he smiled and said, "Isn't my idea too cheesy?" ”
The Dharma Master said: "What Daoist friends said is actually very reasonable. What you ask for is to make your thoughts clear, and if your desires come true, then naturally your thoughts will not be stagnant, and all your wishes will be fulfilled, which is the highest state of the Dharma, without desires and desires. ”
Ji Xiao said: "It's the first time I've heard of the Dharma Master's explanation of no desire and no desire. ”
The Dharma Master smiled and said: "The matter of cultivation originally has its own understanding, the prince and the farmer, as long as they have a heart for the Tao, they can sit together and discuss the Tao, if there is no common ground while reserving differences, then the Nalanda Temple will not be the Nalanda Temple." ”
As soon as he said this, Ji Xiao had doubts in his heart.
If Nalanda Monastery is aimed at seeking common ground while reserving differences, why did it break with Bodhitara in the first place?
It's just that the matter of Bodhithara can't be announced, so Ji Xiao didn't ask.
He said: "The Dharma Master has a high view, and the poor Tao has been taught. ”
The Dharma Master smiled lightly and said, "One last question, I wonder what you think of Buddhism and Taoism?"
This is a big proposition, but it can reflect many things.
Ji Xiao pondered for a while before saying: "I thought that although Daozang was as vast as a sea of smoke, the core of it was only four words. ”
Miaose continued: "Is it 'Taoism and Nature'." ”
Ji Xiao smiled and said: "These four words are clever enough, but they are too broad, and I thought it should be 'good as water'." ”
Miaose said: "What's the explanation?"
He is open-minded and not ashamed to ask.
Ji Xiao said: "Water, colorless and tasteless, in the square is the law, in the circle is the law, the so-called no stagnation and no hindrance, that's the case." And the water is perfect and soft, dense and dense. If it is small, it is silent, and if it is grand, it is surging. Tolerate all things without fighting with all things, and Zepi sentient beings, but do not conflict with sentient beings. If a monk attains the path of goodness, I don't think anyone can compete with him. ”
The Dharma Master said: "The words of Taoist friends are thought-provoking, but what about the way of Buddhism?"
Ji Xiao smiled and said: "I don't read many Buddhist scriptures, so I am afraid that my opinions are not profound enough, for fear of being laughed at and generous." Therefore, the poor way does not want to talk about the way of Buddhism, but wants to say the way of the master of the Dharma and the master of Miaose, both of whom are first-class monks in the world, and they must not blame the poor way for judging themselves. ”
Naturally, he couldn't let the Dharma Master lead his nose and answer.
The Dharma Master didn't think about it and said, "Then you talk about the old monk first, and then talk about the wonderful color." ”
Ji Xiao smiled: "I'll talk about Master Miaose first." ”
Miaose also smiled and said, "Let's talk about it." ”
Ji Xiao said: "The stick hits the world of the ten directions, and opens your mouth to blow through the sky." I think it's the way of the master of the wonderful color. ”
Miaose said: "This metaphor is very domineering, but the poor monk is not so arrogant. ”
Ji Xiao said again: "The poor road added two more sentences, stirred up the East Ocean Sea with one hand, and kicked to Mount Meru." ”
Miaose smiled: "It's even closer." ”
The Dharma Master said: "I think what Daoist friends said is extremely accurate, Senior Brother Miaose, he said that you have no prejudices, and you have a reason." ”
Miaose said: "When you say this, it's like this, then you can quickly speak to the master." ”
Ji Xiao pondered for a moment and said: "Dharma Master, I'm not sure, there are only two Buddhist poems that I have seen by chance, and it seems that I can barely describe one or two, or I will say them all, which one is more appropriate." ”
The Dharma Master smiled and said, "Fellow Daoists just say, the old monk listens." ”
Ji Xiao chanted: "The first song: Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a platform; ”
Miaose clapped her hands and said, "Miaomiao." ”
Ji Xiao continued to chant: "The second song: The body is a Bodhi tree, the heart is like a mirror; ”
Miaose said: "But it's not as good as the first one." ”
