Chapter 220: Flower Beaver Refines Qi Determination
It is said that it is a great thing in the eyes of a wasteland monk like Blue Finch, but it is really nothing to the diligence from the earth. In his previous life, there was really nothing remarkable about writing a book, and even many celebrities and rich people had their own writing rotten to scum, but they could dictate and be ghostwritten by others, and finally make a memoir full of chicken soup, and some people still bought it.
Regarding the matter of making scriptures, Yin Qin didn't say nonsense, he really started thinking about it when he was in Wild Wolf Town. To be specific, it was after he had seen the remnants of the female pill handed down by Gouya'er's family and some of the exercises in the jade slips left by Yin Tieshan that he moved this thought.
When he arrived at the Beaver Peak and roughly flipped through a few scriptures in the Beaver Peak Hidden Scripture Pavilion, his desire to create a scripture specifically for the cultivation of beginner disciples became stronger and stronger.
The reason why Yin Qin boasted in front of Yunshang that the package ticket could solve the problem of a group of newly accepted disciples to start practicing the exercises, in fact, he did not pin all his hopes on Yi Qingyun and Yue Qilin that they could copy many true scriptures back.
Moreover, he diligently sent Yue Qilin and Yi Qingyun to copy the scriptures of the inner disciples, and the result was not only to enrich the collection of Hua Qifeng, that is, he fulfilled a promise to Yunsheng. To truly solve the cultivation problem of these newly recruited disciples, in the dire mind, it is still necessary to find a set of cultivation methods that can lead newcomers to get started quickly.
Although I have not read many classics, I have found a common problem, that is, it is too obscure. In this world, people who are idle do not dare to make scriptures, and those who dare to write books and pass on at least have to mix with the "title" of Jindan Ancestor.
The problem is that those who have cultivated to the level of Jindan Ancestor, what they write can't naturally be plain words in the vernacular. In order to be able to show the level and demeanor of the ancestors, the things written by these guys are full of metaphors, hints, pretenses, etc., to put it bluntly, there are things that are not easy to say, and they have to go around in circles and write them in a particularly subtle way, so that the scriptures are profound.
Although the Tao has reached a high level, many things of perception can no longer be expressed in words, and can only be said through metaphors, pretenses, and the like. But should the introductory exercises for the outer disciples, such a rookie cultivator, be so mysterious? In Yin Qin's opinion, it is completely unnecessary.
For example, a certain powerful monk once said a sentence on how to adjust the breath called "Vermilion Bird Spits Out White Stone Source". Among them, the word Vermilion Bird, literally refers to the Vermilion Bird, but it is actually a metaphor for people's tongues, because both are red. The difficulty lies in the last five words, what should be done?
The more common explanation is the one given in the basic sutra of the outer disciples, "Five Elements Qi Refining Decision", which is as follows: Vermilion Bird, Vermilion Bird, and Tongue Image. The white stone, the tooth elephant, the state of spitting and shrinking, the state of the flow of the fluid, the qi is born, and it is called the source. In the vernacular, the breath is to allow saliva to flow between the tongue and teeth, and true qi is generated.
But the same sentence is explained differently in the fragment of the female pill handed down by Gouya'er. According to the fragment, the word "white stone" does not refer to teeth, but to the void. Because according to the Daomen, the void was originally transformed by the mixed element stone, and the void was connected to the lungs in the human body, and the lungs were white. Therefore, the white stone refers to the void connected to the lungs, which is the source of true qi. According to the explanation of the Nudan fragment, the meaning of the whole sentence becomes, when breathing, you should deliberately guard the void outside your body, so that the true qi will flow between the void and your lips and teeth.
There are countless similar situations in the vast number of scriptures, but who should be followed? This becomes a difficult problem for all the disciples to follow. Many disciples, in order to find a "correct" explanation of a certain sentence in the scriptures, often spend a lot of spirit stones and time to refer to many other scriptures. As a result, both spirit stones and time were wasted.
Yin Qin felt that there was no need for a beginner disciple to delve into these issues at all. Or the above sentence, for beginners, the most important thing is not to distinguish whether the true qi comes from saliva or from the void, but to learn the correct posture of breathing, that is, the tip of the tongue is slightly rolled up, gently against the upper gums, and at the same time be careful not to grit or loosen the teeth.
However, in the scriptures created by the mighty monks, these most basic things are often ignored. The sutra that Yin Qin wants to create is not to discuss where the true qi comes from, but to tell beginners how to breathe, how to meditate, how to step gang, how to step on the bucket, how to add to the meridian, how to bathe in the unitary, and so on. As everyone knows, these foundations, which are disdainful to mention in the eyes of the powerful monks, are the key points that beginners urgently need to supplement.
He was going to start collecting the various outer door scriptures on the first floor of the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion, not looking at the principles therein, but only extracting the actual methods and steps of the exercises.
According to his vision, the introductory scriptures he created should have such a purpose. For example, there is a word mentioned in many scriptures called "the heart is interdependent." Then in his book "The True Scripture of the Flower Fox", he will give several ways to achieve the interdependence of the heart, such as the method of counting breaths, listening to breaths, and so on.
However, how does the name "The True Scripture of the Flower Beaver Folk Bea" sound a little like a "Handbook for the Raising of the Man"? Not good, not good, or it would have been replaced by "The Blossom Fox Refining Qi Decision"? He casually flipped through a few volumes of the Outer Gate Sutra, and he couldn't help but desert. This kind of copying, copying, and writing summary work is really not suitable for a high-end, high-grade cultivator like him to do.
He dropped the scroll in his hand, yawned, and turned his face to see the blue looking at the door, looking reluctant to come in. Thinking about it, Blue Bird had been an inner disciple for many years before she left Tieling Peak, and it was really a bit cheap to let her go to the first floor of the Scripture Pavilion like a rookie to read the scriptures.
With a roll of his eyes, he smiled and beckoned the blue to come over and said, "Didn't we send a few people here to read the scriptures before? Why didn't we see anyone for a long time? Could it be that Chengdu is lazy?"
The Blue Ninja rolled his eyes and said coldly: "Our civet headquarters, we have sent a total of eight disciples here before. Because it was too brain-draining, five people had already gone home one after another. At present, there are still three disciples insisting in the pavilion, but they are all inner disciples, and they should be on the upper floor at the moment. ”
Yin Qin crossed Erlang's legs, and said with a sigh: "There is Senior Sister Lao, go and call all those people down for me, I have a difficult and glorious task to hand over to the three of them to do!"
