Prologue (I) 3

The college student who was in charge of telling the story, under the curiosity of the roommates around him, told them that the missing archaeological team members went to explore again, and then, mysteriously, disappeared!

In the months since, according to the college student, "no one was found, and no other belongings they had with them - except for a diary!"

The diary, however, looked like a brand new journal.

"But even if they were really attacked by some beast...... At least ......" The bespectacled old man next to him began to analyze, "There won't be just one diary......

"Yes! And there are no fierce beasts in the great desert to the south!"

"Strange unknown ruins...... The missing archaeological team member ......" A roommate on the side turned on the light in the bedroom as he spoke, and his incomprehensible tone was a little afraid - he felt that this matter did not seem to be so simple!

The diary, which is also said to be a little strange - nothing else, just some mysterious and strange-looking puppets.

No one knew what the puppets meant—whether they had found items in the ruins, or if there were some other hints.

If it's a hint, why not just tell the other archaeologists – was it pressured to encounter danger, or was what they found a mystery in itself?

At that time, the media was not as developed as the Internet era, but there were still many people who knew about the rumors about "mysterious unknown ruins and the disappearance of archaeological team members".

Many people believe that those archaeological team members may have encountered man-made danger and gangsters, and they quietly painted such puppets in danger, indicating that they were trapped, and quietly left their diaries there while those gangsters were not paying attention.

This is a good explanation for why the missing archaeologists didn't leave any belongings behind - the gangsters don't let the archaeologists leave their belongings behind as easily as the beasts that come to forage for food.

However, such speculation seems to be somewhat untenable -- why would the gangsters attack a team of archaeological team members who have nothing of value in this desert? Even if the archaeological team members are trapped by the gangsters, where did the gangsters and the archaeological team members go? If the archaeological team members and the gangsters are in distress in the desert, then there will not be anything left!

In the years that followed, other archaeological teams from all over the country also searched for the so-called ruins according to the accounts of the missing archaeological team members, but nothing came of it......

What the archaeological team found, and where they went, no one knows here......

Such rumors, too, gradually became a mystery, and gradually became what people call "urban legends" - as time passed, more and more people began to doubt whether this was true.

Perhaps, it is not as strange as previously speculated in the rumors - maybe, it is just that the archaeological team members drew puppets casually and unfortunately were in distress - it may be as difficult to find such a person in distress in the desert as it is to find a flat boat in the sea.

But who knows what's going on in reality......
