The Great Nirvana Sutra: "A good man, like me for a while, wanders in the wilderness, settlements, and trees, and under the forest, there is a ghost and god, that is, the name of the wilderness. Pure flesh and blood, kill many sentient beings, revert to its gathering, and eclipse one person.
Virtuous man, when I was in the time, I spoke the Dharma for his demons and gods, but he was violent, foolish, and uneducated, and I became a powerful ghost, and moved his palace, and made him uneasy. When the ghost sees me, he loses his mind, and is terrified, and he is cut off from it, like a dead man.
With mercy, I put my hands on his body, and I sat up and said, 'Quick, I have my life today, and I am a great God-King, with great virtue and compassion, and forgive me for my guilt.' That is, in my place, good faith is born. Now I will return to my original body, and I will repeat all kinds of Dharma essentials, so that the ghosts and gods will not be killed.
On that same day, there was an elder in the village of Kuno, who was supposed to die, and the villagers had already given him the ghost and god, and the ghost and god had already received it, that is, they gave it to me; Then the ghost said to me, 'World-honored, I and my dependents only rely on flesh and blood to survive on our own, and now we live on the precepts, how can we live when the clouds are in order?' I immediately replied: 'From now on, when you hear the sound of the disciples, wherever you practice the Dharma, you should be ordered to give you food and drink.' 'Good man, if you have a place to live and cannot give to you, you should know that you are a descendant, not my disciple, that is, a member of the Heavenly Demon Sect.
The Buddha passed through the jungle, there is a ghost god in this place, named Yuanye, eats flesh and blood, often kills, eats one person every day, I in order to educate the ghost and god of Yuanye, and he preaches the scriptures, but this ghost god, stupid can not accept the teachings I preach, I turned into a strong ghost king body, the ghost was shocked by me, I made it to death, like a dead person, I touched his body with mercy, let his ghost come back to life, his ghost resurrected thanks to the king of mercy for me, I immediately restored the body He said all kinds of wonderful methods for him, took refuge in the Three Jewels, held the vows of non-killing, and bestowed the Dharma name on the elders.
Elder: "I take refuge in my Buddha today, and I take the vow of not killing, but I am not a cannibal of human flesh and blood, and what should I do with my diet after I take the vow of not killing."
Buddha Nyolai: "From today onwards, I will let my four disciples make almsgiving, and if any disciple does not give alms, it means that the demon family is not my disciple."
Zhong Zheng then had a second dream, which was as follows:
A child is trapped in a bowl, and the mother is powerless to relieve her grief.
Who was this mother? The wife of the Ghost God King Panjanga, also known as the Devil's Mother, had ten thousand sons, all of whom were fierce and evil, and the youngest child was called Concubine, who was very favored.
But the devil is cruel by nature, likes to eat human flesh, and specializes in killing children, tyrannizing and devouring. Many families have been devastated and have lost their beloved children. People knew that the World-Honored One could solve their troubles, so they asked the World-Honored One for protection.
The World-Honored One took pity on everyone's suffering of losing their children, and with divine power he grabbed the youngest son of the devil's mother, Concubine Jialuo, and covered it with a bowl.
The devil's mother loves her son deeply, and counts 10,000 children by name every day, and finds that her youngest son, Concubine Jialuo, is gone. went to heaven and earth, and found the entire world of Supo, but there was no trace for seven days and seven nights. The devil's mother was sad and annoyed, and when she heard of the great wisdom of the world-honored one, she went to the Buddha to inquire about the whereabouts of her youngest son.
The Lord said, "If you have 10,000 children and you lose one, why bother looking for them?" People in the world, either with one child or five or three, have been eaten by you.
The ghost mother cried and begged, "O merciful world-honored one, my beloved son Gara is my own flesh and blood, more precious than any treasure, even more precious than my life. I vow that from this day forward, I will never kill a human child again.
Shizun used her divine power to let her see the child under the bowl, and the ghost son and mother were overjoyed, and the ghosts tried their best to open the bowl, but they couldn't push it. The youngest son, Concubine Jialuo, was in the bowl, crying and screaming, and the devil's mother was so anxious that she almost fainted.
The World-Honored One said, "If you can take the three refuge and five precepts, and live as long as you want to live without killing sentient beings, I will give you back the child." The devil and mother wept and wept silently, listening to the teachings of the world-honored and receiving the three refuges and five precepts.
The Lord said, you have to keep the vows well, in the past when the Buddha of the Buddha was the seventh youngest daughter of the King of Karma, you made great merits, because you did not take the vows, you have to receive the ghost body in this life.
The Buddha took three refuge for the devil's mother and his dependents, and received the precept of non-killing.
Devil Mother and Son: "I hold the vow of not killing, but I feed on human flesh and blood, what should I do if I and my family are not killed now?"
Buddha Buddha: "I will let all the Buddha's disciples make alms from now on."
Then Zhong Zheng had a third dream, and he saw a great monk preaching the scriptures and teachings, and the Dharma name was Xuanhua Venerable.
What did the Venerable Master Xuanhua --- the Goldfinch diet for? It eats dragons. Although the dragon has supernatural powers, it can be big and small, and it can be hidden and visible, but when it sees the golden-winged bird, it has no magical powers, and it can't move, so it can only wait for the gold-winged bird to eat.
"The goldfinch is dead, and the flesh and bones are dissipated,
Only the heart does not dissolve, and the light is bright.
The dragon king takes it as a pearl, which can break through the darkness of a thousand years;
If the wheel is right, it can save everything.
How can you be used every day without seeing it in people?"
This is one of the "Six Songs" written by Master Hanshan, which is a song to the hearts of people. We all know that when the Dapeng Golden-winged Bird stretches its wings, it is as long as 360 miles (40 miles for the small ones, 60 miles for the middle birds, and 80 miles for the big ones). As soon as it flicked its wings, it would dry up all the seawater and move it elsewhere, and it would have so much power. But it also has a time when it dies, and when it dies, its bones and flesh will be broken, but only the heart will not be bad.
What does the goldfinch eat for it? It eats dragons. Although the dragon has supernatural powers, it can be big and small, and it can be hidden and visible, but when it sees the golden-winged bird, it has no magical powers, and it can't move, so it can only wait for the gold-winged bird to eat. So the goldfinch bird ate a lot of dragons, and the dragon king had to ask the Buddha for help. When the dragon king came to the Buddha, he told the Buddha that if the goldfinch continued to eat its race like this, the dragon clan would soon be wiped out, so he asked the Buddha to help them and not to eat it all.
Therefore, the Buddha gave the Dharma-Dharma to the goldfinch and warned them not to eat dragons in the future. The goldfinch said, "If I don't eat the dragon, then I won't have anything to eat, so what should I do?" The Buddha said, "I teach my disciples to give it to you every day at lunch." Therefore, when the monks eat at noon, they give food and offerings, which is to give alms to the Dapeng Goldfinch Bird, so it is said:
"The Roc Goldfinch Bird,
Demons and gods of the wilderness,
Rakshasa Devil Mother and Son,
Manna is full. ”
Offerings are given not only to the gold-winged birds, but also to the ghosts and gods of the wilderness, as well as to the children and mothers of the Rakshasas. The wilderness is a very desolate place, and some large forests are inhabited by ghosts and gods.
The Venerable Master Xuanhua also taught that if no one gave food to the Buddha, the Dapeng Goldfinch would eat the dragon, the wilderness ghosts would eat people, the devils would eat children, and the Rakshasa ghosts would eat people. There are also immeasurable and boundless hungry ghost beings who cannot eat food because of karma, and when the food reaches the ashes of the mouth into coals, they are always hungry, so they have to give alms for the sake of all sentient beings.
After Zhong Zheng woke up, found that there were several hungry ghosts nearby, very hungry and thirsty, Zhong Zheng recited the golden light mantra, and asked the ancestor how to help them, the ancestor said that you open the last page of the book of the ancestor of Maoshan and recite the mantra above, you can ask the king of the earth to teach, Zhong Zheng opened the last page of the book, which records that the disciples of the Zhong family must take refuge in the Three Jewels, the mantra: the great power of the heavenly dragon, the world-honored Jizo, the Buddhas of Prajna, the Prajna Ba Ma Kong. "The Dharma is boundless, my Buddha is compassionate, take refuge in my Buddha, ong, Mani North America.
This time, there was no demon subjugation and demon subjugation to catch ghosts, so there was no dragon, but there was a statue of Jizo Buddha, and when I heard the sound of coaxing, hell was not empty, and I swore not to become a Buddha.
Zhong Zheng folded his hands and bowed to the King of Jizo Bodhisattva, so he sincerely asked the King of Jizo Bodhisattva, how should the disciples do alms to help the hungry ghosts, if they give food, so that the evil ghosts that eat people will not eat people, so that the golden-winged birds will not eat dragons.
Jizo King Bodhisattva: "As long as you sincerely recite the mantra of vegetarian food and change the mantra of food: Nama Savat, Datoye, Dovalu base, ong, three waves of spicy, three waves of spicy,. Seven times can benefit immeasurable hungry ghosts, benefit evil ghosts so that they do not eat people, so that the goldfinch does not eat dragons.
Zhong Zheng prepared bananas and other fruits, and made 7 mantras to transform his sincere mantra into food, and watched these foods become immeasurable in the eyes of ghosts and gods, and immeasurable ghosts and gods sentient beings were benefited.
