Some people will ask, "Taoism takes Lao Zhuang as the guide of life, the Tao is natural, simple and does not matter etiquette, and does not take mundane things as business, how can we, as Taoists, engage in mundane affairs and restrain our body and mind? ”

In fact, this involves three issues, one is the relationship between etiquette and nature, the second is the relationship between escapism and seclusion, and the third is the relationship between light and dust and simplicity.

In the Wei and Jin dynasties, this issue was taken seriously by the world and became the focus of controversy, but later they all converted to Guo Xiang's theory of "inner sage and outer king". First of all, etiquette is a form of rules, these do not affect my heart, etiquette and nature, the emergence of etiquette is also the product of natural development, the two are not two.

If you can understand the meaning of "inner saint and outer king", you can understand the theory of Taoism in the world. Showing himself too much is not a disciple of the Taisu.

Taoism not only pursues the immortal world of free and easy dust, but also is full of the feelings of "immortal and noble life, immeasurable people", and cares more about the world of real life. The Taoism of "rebirth and noble life" has always been full of positive will to life and happy life mood.

Now I have been ordered to drink ice at night, and I am not in the mood for things, but there are troubles of yin and yang; if things do not work, there will be human troubles. Through Ye Gongzigao's experience, Zhuangzi tries to illustrate the dilemma of survival that is difficult for people to escape from in a chaotic society.

Regarding the embarrassing situation of Ye Gongzi Gao and today's people wandering between the "disaster of humanity" and "the trouble of yin and yang", Zhuangzi gave the following answer with the help of the mouth of Confucius: those who are married to their relatives are at peace regardless of the place and filial piety;

Those who are courtiers are inherently unavoidable. If you forget your body when you do something, you will have no time to live happily and die evilly! The Master can do what he does! Therefore, the Dharma says: 'There is no eviction order, no persuasion.' Excessive benefits also. 'The relocation decree is a disaster. The beauty has been in the past for a long time, and the evil has not been changed, but it can be carelessly with! What is the retribution! If it is fatal, this is the victim?

In view of the dilemma in the survival situation, Zhuangzi thought about the possibility of getting out of the embarrassment, "forgetting the feelings of doing things", "and the husband takes things to play with his heart, and has no choice but to support him". The so-called "forgetting one's body" is to lift the shackles on the body.

As for "multiplying things to play with the mind", it means to follow the laws of nature and gallop freely; "Yangzhong" means to maintain the virtue of life, forget oneself and protect oneself, and play with one's heart. Obviously, Zhuangzi's life wisdom is to balance the relationship between body and mind through "nurturing", so that he can "forget one's body" and "wander the mind", and save life from the struggle of suffering.

Tracing back to Laozi's "Shouzhong", it can be the same as Zhuangzi's "Yangzhong". Lao Ziyun, "Between heaven and earth, it is still empty, unyielding, moving and coming out." It is better to be in the middle than to talk too much." From this point of view, "Zhong" is not only a thorough avenue for all things in heaven and earth, but also a way to maintain physical and mental integrity and harmony. It can be spied that it seems that Lao Zhuang is trying to enlighten the "double cultivation of life" of Taoist practice from the perspective of "raising the middle" and "keeping the middle".

Taoism believes that the harmony of life is indispensable, complements each other, and jointly maintains the normal life activities of people. "Sex does not leave life, life does not leave sex, the life of my body is together, and it is my true life. My true life is the true life of heaven and earth."

The essence of life is manifested in the organic coexistence of the body and the mind, that is, its individual functions and social morality cannot be neglected. Physical training and mental morality must be cultivated at the same time in order to be the same as the Tao.

The subtle harmony of body and mind is the ultimate meaning pursued by the "dual cultivation of life". Lu Zu's "Song of Knocking on the Song" has a cloud, "Only cultivating nature, not cultivating life, this is the first disease of cultivation." Only cultivating the ancestral nature and not cultivating the Dan, it is difficult for the Yin Spirit of Ten Thousand Tribulations to enter the Holy Spirit.

Da Ming Zong, obsessed with ancestors, afraid of being like a treasure mirror. Shou is a fool with heaven and earth, and he has no master over the family wealth. The life of the double cultivation of the yuan and the yuan, the sea law wave driving the boat". It is difficult to exhaustively explore the true meaning of life by cultivating the body, or just sharpening the mind. "Those who are masters of the Tao are both life-saving and self-reliant, and those who are both beautiful in form and spirit." Neither party's failure can become its way.

The life wisdom of Taoism is both to "forget one's body" and "to wander one's mind", and to cultivate both nature and life. Through the practice of life in the dual dimension of life, gradually "the body is getting lighter, lean and bright, light is refined, the heart is at peace, happy and happy, and the peace should be carried out". At that time, the body can be sublimated, the soul can be transcended, and life will be harmoniously unified, so as to get rid of the mortal transformation and reach the immortal truth.

Zhuangzi said of the image of the gods, "The mountain of contempt shoots, there are gods and men living in the mountains." The skin is like ice and snow, and it is like a virgin. Do not eat grains, suck the wind and drink dew, ride the clouds, fly the dragon, and swim beyond the four seas. Its spirit is condensed, so that things are not defective and ripe for years".

The "gods" here are transcendentally depicted immortals, who can "ride the clouds and fly the dragon". It can be said that God-man has a wonderful real experience of physical and mental sensations. "Don't eat grains, suck wind and drink dew" is the transcendence of the body by the gods, and "condensation" is the control of the mind by the gods. Immortals, in Zhuangzi's view, are also a state of existence that realizes the harmony of body and mind.

Today, life is being overwhelmed by the world, the body has suffered from unavoidable entertainment, and the mind has exercised too many thoughts, so it is naturally difficult to recuperate "sex" and "life", how dare you talk about the happy and leisurely fairy realm. What kind of methods should modern people use to break through the confusion of life?

If we examine modern life through the life wisdom of Taoism's "dual cultivation of life", we will realize that "insight and wisdom come from the heart, thoughts and thoughts, and the heart is also servitude." The action is out of the body, the silence is heard, and the body is tired. If life is tired, there will be life and death, and if sex is subjected to mental servitude, there will be contacts and comings." It is not difficult to find that "mental servitude" and "physical exhaustion" are the reasons for the threat of fragile lives.

Taoist Changyun, "Respect the Tao and Virtue, Harmonious Coexistence". Is a religious person a natural righteous person or a good person?

Don't think that the Taoist priest you meet is what you think you think, there are different people, there are different Taoist priests, there are good people and bad people in any group, people with various purposes enter, and they all have their own opinions and understandings.

Cultivation is not a unified caliber, everyone has their own opinion, just as everyone has their own different Hamlet in their hearts, and cultivation is not all for the purpose of becoming immortals. No matter how magnificent the building is, no matter how gorgeous the statue of the god, it is all the appearance and the shell.

Many people are disappointed in Taoism after visiting Taoist temples, why are they disappointed?

They are not disappointed in the architecture, not in the scenery, but in the people, they feel that here, they do not feel the cultural atmosphere they deserve, no matter how gorgeous the costumes, no matter how brilliant the buildings, no matter how magical martial arts, no matter how healthy the health, they can't withstand the hearts of the people, and the Taoist temple without Taoist priests is like a vegetative person without a soul.

Whether it is martial arts, health preservation, clothing, etiquette, architecture, music, classics, inheritance, precepts, etc., it is always up to the person and the human heart wrapped under these appearances. Taoism itself, no matter how many temples are built, no matter how many magical powers are spoken, no matter how many books are printed, and no matter how handsome the kung fu is, it cannot be worthy of the recognition of people.

Each Taoist has a different understanding of Taoism, Taoism is also like a mountain shrouded in fog, not only people in the rivers and lakes, but also people in Taoism use all kinds of mysteries to deceive people, use all kinds of gorgeous clothes to attract people and even demagogue.

All kinds of charlatans, all kinds of legends of cultivating immortals, all kinds of spell training have become a means of collecting money, we do not deny the five techniques of Taoism, many of the means of Taoism are a way to know and pray for a change in the world in the traditional way, but Taoism is simply used by too many people to make money.

Putting on the cloak of religion adds to the mystery and mystery, and it is also convenient for intimidation and confusion

Faith, deception or other purposes are simpler, especially in the Taoist sect people use slightly orthodox Taoism, in the face of various temptations, compared with ordinary people, fame and fortune are easier to obtain, and even for some people, money and beauty are at their fingertips.

After entering the Dao Gate, it is really simple to use this outfit to attract people, so what exactly do we cultivate? What exactly do we preach the Tao for? Is it for immediate benefits? Is it for fame and fortune?

Of course, if the pattern is not high, the monks may lose their original intentions when they encounter such a situation, and they will indulge in this temptation, and indulge in wine-colored wealth; all kinds of temptations are like magic tests, can you withstand these tests, can you pass the level in your heart?

Taoism first promotes culture, then, the most basic point is the requirements for oneself, and the more basic is the requirements for Taoists, just like those who control the secrets of the state and the company, they must be reliable in moral character, and the bottom line must be firm; as a Taoist priest who prays for the deceased and the living are blessed, if the bottom line is not firm, the mistakes and evil consequences committed by Taoist laymen are greater.

Of course, the significance of passing the pass does not mean that we should regard money and beauty as ugly, we should have eyes to appreciate beauty, and if we don't even distinguish between beauty and ugliness, what do we still do in cultivation? I don't even dare to face my own heart, so what do I still do in cultivation? I want to see more beautiful women and beautiful scenery, right? Looking at them twice does not mean that we have to marry home, nor does it mean that we have to turn a blind eye to beauty and not distinguish between beauty and ugliness.

Throughout the history of Taoism, there has never been a selfish person who has ever been able to hide in a ravine and become an immortal, and there has never been a person who has escaped from the world forever and become an immortal; Taoist culture comes from our life, from the red dust, and we must also give back to the red dust, and the wisdom gained in life and the offerings of the good faith of the ten directions cannot support a group of selfish and self-interested people who pursue self-detachment, cannot support a group of cultivators who cultivate the Tao for the sake of becoming immortals, and cannot support religious believers who escape from the world and do not give back to society.

Since you are planning to practice, you must let go of yourself, and after letting go of yourself, you must also be able to take yourself, and you must learn to be humble, and after being humble, you must learn to seek self-respect.

When putting oneself in a small pattern, simply practicing for the sake of tranquility, simply practicing for the sake of oneself is always a small path; Lao Jun often said that the Sutra of Tranquility talks about a quiet state of mind, rather than being isolated from everything in the world, blindly quiet.

If you can't face it positively, you can't truly practice yourself, and if you want to escape from the world, you can avoid the world, and don't say that you have no quarrel. No contention is also a non-contentious mentality to look down on all things, or the world can not compete with it, when this pattern and realm cannot be reached, empty talk and no contention, in vain to provoke laughter.

If there is no dispute about the high school, if you are at ease in the temple, enjoying the offerings and worshipful eyes of the believers from all over the world, and still looking down on the visiting believers from above, and blindly looking down on others and exalting yourself, can you still be regarded as a cultivator?

Are monks and Taoists superior?

Everyone's life is not easy, they have to bear social responsibility, because of the belief in the religious believers, they may take out their living expenses, wages without complaint, whether superstitious or sincere, are in the hope that this donation can really be used to promote the Tao, can really help others, can really achieve the results promised by religious believers. A grain of rice weighs as much as a mountain and has the prayers of the believers, and the ten directions offer cause and effect to the faith of the world, and the enjoyment of the offering must be worthy of this offering.

Some scriptures say that it is more for the purpose of obtaining offerings in a better way, using merit, happiness in future lives, bliss in the afterlife, and so on to deceive believers into obtaining offerings, and propagating that offering to religious believers is merit, and that offering to religious believers is boundlessly meritorious, but how can religious believers treat believers who donate and make offerings with a fair heart?

Giving back to the believers for the sake of making offerings is not something that can be reciprocated by reciting two verses of scripture, and giving back to the believers is not something that can be solved by making a promise for the next life. Why do we have to support religious believers, why do we have to support monks and Taoists?

The reason why Western religions have gained a certain degree of recognition from more people in the present state is that they pay attention to giving back and sharing, and to the equal status of believers and religious followers; so what can our monks and Taoists give back to their followers except for chanting sutras and good fortune? Are empty promises still expected after death? Do you use so-called slander of Buddha or scriptures to intimidate those who do not listen to or believe?

Monks and Taoists all come from the red dust, all of them have to eat, drink, and sleep, they are all ordinary people, there is no monk and Taoist priest who has no faults, if there is a perfect monk and Taoist, it is 100% packaged and beautified, there is no moral perfect religious person, if it exists, it is 100% ulterior motives.

If you want to really give back and make offerings, you must be treated equally, not because monks and Taoists bring anything to the believers because of chanting scriptures or practicing, nor do you bring any benefits to supporting monks and Taoists, but because the believers pay money because they hope that the monks and Taoists will spread the Tao and spread the true faith, and it is the believers who support the monks and Taoists!

Monks and Taoists should give back to the believers, by promoting the right faith, passing on the right thoughts, to help the believers better face life, so that religion can serve the believers, instead of exchanging this kind of offering with posthumous promises, not for the sake of offering, the best way to be worthy of the offering is to promote the right faith, abandon superstition, reduce the way of preaching with demagoguery, intimidation, and temptation, and more preaching than preaching.

Receiving offerings should not be the goal, but the goal of righteousness, and making promises after death or happiness in the next life can never compare to the effort of this life. Don't make religion a tool for personal gain, don't put your own pattern in the position of a charlatan, and don't want to be a Taoist priest who is not a good priest, and the truth is universal.

Why practice, why seclusion?

Why do you practice, why do you live in seclusion?

To promote the true faith, we need to truly understand the meaning of Taoism, understand what is a Taoist, and do we have to escape the world to be a Taoist?

Birth and seclusion are not high, it does not mean that they are detached, but they may choose this path because they can't see it, and they may not be able to face temptation or setbacks better than ordinary people.

To a certain extent, the so-called masters who practice in seclusion are not as sophisticated as an excellent social worker, their social contributions, their self-ability, and their moral concepts are not as good as those of an excellent social worker, and their hobbies, cultural accomplishments, and character quality are not as good as those of a normal person who is humble and courteous, and their resistance to various temptations may be lower than that of ordinary people.

If we want to talk about his higher spiritual pursuit, then it is also a selfish pursuit of self, we can treat seclusion as an adult fairy tale, but we can't live on fairy tales, we can't live on fairy tales, after all, not everyone is Hans Christian Andersen.

If a religion can't make people wiser and make us more positive and comfortable, it doesn't make much sense to exist, and if it still exists, it may only exist for the benefit of certain groups, but for another purpose.

Religion itself is not right or wrong, the fault lies in who is using religion, and the fault lies in what religion is expressed. In the final analysis, the so-called propagation and practice of the Tao are for the sake of righteous faith, and in the age of the Internet and the fragmentation of information, what must be done is to adhere to the concept of religion.

Just like love, the feeling at first sight is very important, treat the believers with real sincerity, treat them without utilitarianism, just like falling in love, cherish the good feelings, but some people make "treating the believers with the same mentality as falling in love" into "falling in love with the believers"; just like understanding inaction as inaction, and understanding non-contention as evasion and unprincipled concession, it is not advisable.

Hongdao, first let yourself be an understanding person, spread some of the simplest truths, remove the gorgeous shell, let the believers feel that you are a human being, and then feel that you are a trustworthy person, and then understand religion.

They are all ordinary people, they all have their own lives, and even if they practice, it is to be more comfortable and live a better life after taking refuge.

In short, I personally believe that what is worshiped is not the gods and Buddhas, but the truth, compassion and wisdom represented by the gods and Buddhas; what the public trusts is not the clothes and identities of Taoist priests and monks, but the culture, wisdom and beliefs interpreted by religious believers; calmly face everything we should face, stick to the bottom line and interpret the religion that is in line with our times, without fear or fear, without hatred and without annoyance, I see the world in my heart, and the world is my heart.

At the same time, the precepts are not to restrain people, but to restrain ourselves and improve ourselves; our cultivation should pay more attention to inheriting and promoting culture, so that Taoism can bloom with new vitality in a way that suits us in our time.

Taoist practice pursues longevity, but we can't live forever for the sake of pursuing longevity, we must not only pay attention to the length of life, but also pay attention to the width of life; it is meaningless to live as a thousand-year-old king, blindly pursuing immortality without paying attention to our inner practice, it is of little significance, what can a person be proud of in his selfish life?

When one does not lose one's judgment because of the beauty of Taoism, does not lose interest in Taoism because of the ugliness of Taoism, takes the initiative to abandon darkness because of the yearning for light, and corrects oneself because of the yearning for beauty, then one truly embarks on the road of faith.

There is no need to look deep in the mountains, and look at the inner Tao to hear yourself, not because you are born ruthlessly, not because you are so vulgar when you enter the world.

Satisfaction is used, reasonableness is action, etiquette is the way, and faith is virtue. Affection is a gentleman, leisure is a fairy, seclusion and hearing about the world, living in the dust and having no contention.

Lay people provide for food and clothing, do not lose their righteousness because of teachings, and live with compassion not in their mouths, and do not lose themselves because of mysteries. Wise and bowing, high and easy, the path of cultivation begins at the beginning, and there is the Tao at the foot.

It's a real escape.
