Chapter 1169: The Treasure King

The price of the same size painting is higher than that of other deities, and the reason is roughly: this is the god of wealth, and the painter wants to give blessings to others, so it is expensive; It is also said that the king of treasure cannot be provoked, and he must draw it very finely, so it must be more expensive. Back then, the old Tucsan Living Buddha said, how can a person without good fortune ask for a treasure king. The Treasure Heavenly King is large, much larger than the average deity, and he has to add a mount, so it is expensive. The main point in the drawing of the Treasure King is to be solemn and mighty, and in layman's terms, he should be like a general or a generalissimo. Tall, powerful, intimidating, and full of blessings. This is very different from the five surnamed God of Wealth, like Huang Caishen, who has to choose short and fat and blessed. This is the main point in choosing a thangka body shape.

The Treasure King is a special Buddha-figure who can be relied on for life, a great protector of the Dharma, and the leader of the God of Wealth. There are many monks who have attained the attainment of the Treasure Heavenly King, and the Buddha-figure is also very easy to correspond to. When a monk is practicing, he is generally studying the precepts, especially for the Iron Rod Lama, who must practice this deity. Not for the sake of wealth, but for testing the precepts. This is the main illustration.

Since ancient times, there are a lot of legends, saying that the Treasure King appears in the spirit, almost every patriarch's biography will have the story of the Treasure King protecting the saints, the common is the phenomenon in the dream, the danger of support, or in the practice of the treasure King dancing on the Dharma drum, on the altar, on the manza, very, very much. Moreover, the Great Living Buddha and the Great Achiever are very happy to talk about the blessings of the Treasure Heavenly King, and they also love to promote the Treasure Heavenly King Dharma. There are these points in this, although everyone is the Lord of the God of Wealth, but the precepts that he pays attention to first, and the blessing of the King of Wealth means that the precepts of this living Buddha and achiever are strict and pure, which is a very special thing, and it is very decent to say it. Therefore, every monastery must be dedicated to the King of Treasure, as the main protector of the Dharma and the god of wealth. At the same time, in the retreat, the Treasure King is also the main protector. In the Dharma Protector Sutra and the Wealth Nerve, they are all the common lords, and they must praise and make offerings every day.

Every living Buddha and achiever has his own treasure king. Tibetan Buddhism has a lot of traditions, the common deity is golden, holding a victory flag (canopy umbrella), spitting treasure mouse, wearing heavenly clothes and armor, sitting leisurely on the snow lion in the posture of a king. This was originally the special treasure king of the Supreme Lama Tsongkhapa, but later it was spread and became the main image of the treasure king. Basically, every temple is based on this statue. Nowadays, there are some Nepalese thangkas depicting the treasure king who is naked, much like the yellow god of wealth, which is unruly, pay attention. The clothing of the Treasure King is very important, his other duty is the god of war, how can it be suitable without armor, in a treasure king who chooses not to wear clothes, there will be a lack of food and clothing, this is the origin.

There is a red treasure king in Nyingmapa Gatuo Province, which is passed down by Guru Rinpoche, which is very special. There are many people practicing in the Golok area, and there are many fulfillments.

Sakyaba has a white treasure king, and in addition to blessings, the method of prolonging life is particularly good. It is the Sakya sect that does not share the treasure king.

A temple in Ali has a picture of a treasure king riding a sheep, and this inheritance is particularly rare.

A Kagyu temple has a double picture of a treasure king.

There is a blue horse and red spear treasure king in the Jonang sect, which is the uncommon treasure king of the Venerable Taranatha, and his blessing power is extremely powerful, especially fast and powerful. In terms of speed, this statue is the first. The Nyingma sect also has a statue of a horse holding a sword, and there is a translated simple offering text in Taiwan, in which the body shape is different.

The common interpretation of all schools is: the king of treasures, the Sanskrit name "Bishamontian", translated as "many smells", expresses the name of his good fortune, and smells in all directions. And the king of Tawen is also a minister of the emperor, is the patron saint of the north, resides in the north of Mount Meru, leads the Yaksha tribes, and the eastern king of the country (Dorata), the southern king of growth (Viruri), and the western king of wide eyes (Virubocha) are collectively called the "Four Heavenly Kings", and Duowentian is also the head of the four heavenly kings.

King Duowen was originally from the "Kupila God" in Hindu mythology, who had been ascetic for thousands of years before he received the position of the patron saint of the north from his grandfather, the "God of Creation" Brahma, and thus received the flying chariot "Pucha Boka", which symbolizes wealth, so he also has the position of treasure, and is the good god who is in charge of wealth and wealth and protects the Dharma. According to the Buddhist scriptures, when Shakyamuni Buddha was alive, King Duowen made a vow in front of the Buddha to uphold the Dharma, and gave wealth to sentient beings, so that they could achieve the worldly Dharma, so the Sanskrit is called kuberd, which means "the heaven of wealth". According to the Tibetan secret, the name of the Treasure Heavenly King "Nantong Xie" is the manifestation of the Southern Baosheng Buddha of the Five Directions Buddha, surrounded by the Eight Roads God of Wealth as a subordinate, to help Pudu sentient beings, in order to fulfill the wishes of sentient beings.

Because he once led his Yaksha and Vishnu to defeat the demon king Ravana, he was also known as the protector of the world because he could protect the world, and since then he has been revered as a god of martial arts and a god of war. Therefore, according to legend, in the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Tang Ming was able to calm down many troubles because of the blessing of the King of Heaven, so he was specially ordered to worship him.

In the army of the Tang Dynasty, the banner was drawn in the image of the king of many winds, called the "flag of the king of heaven", in order to bless the prosperity of the martial arts. In Japan's Warring States Period, there was a self-proclaimed incarnation of Bishamonten, known as the "Echigo Military God" Uesugi Kenshin, who was known as the "Lord of Bishamon Heaven", and his military flag had the word "Bi". However, the king is not only the protector god of Buddhism, the god of martial arts, and the god of wealth, but also the god of knowledge because he often maintains the Nyorai dojo, so he often hears the Dharma of the Buddha.

The Treasure Heavenly King Dharma is one side and two arms, the body is golden, wearing the crown of the five Buddhas, wearing gold armor, wearing all kinds of treasures, holding the treasure in his right hand, holding the treasure rat "Newlie" in his left hand, and sitting on the white lion on the ground in the posture of the Bodhisattva. However, after Buddhism was introduced to China, in order to match the auspicious meaning of "wind and rain", the tower and halberd in the hands of the statue were generally changed to "umbrellas" representing "rain".

The subordinate of the Treasure King, the "Eight Ways God of Wealth", is the Yellow Treasure God of the East Road, holding the Ruyi Orb in his right hand, the Yellow Treasure God of the South Road, holding the treasure bottle in his right hand, the White Treasure God of the West Road, holding the Mani Treasure in his right hand, the Black Treasure God of the North Road, holding the sword in his right hand, the Yellow Treasure God of the Southeast Road, holding the golden sword in the right hand, the Black Warehouse God of the Southwest Road, holding the golden hammer in his right hand, the Yellow Warehouse God of the Northwest Road, holding the building in his right hand, and the White Library God of the Northeast Road, holding the sword and the left shield on the right road. And they each caught a treasure rat in their left hand, and rode horses of the same color as themselves, all wearing armor and gold robes, majestic and solemn.
