Preface 1: The Exploration of the Basis of Civilization and the Origin of the Book
All the while, I wanted to write a story, or not a story, but a collection of stories.
The germ of this story is the TV series Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty and the Great Qin Empire, as well as the American drama that has been known for a long time but has been watched for less than ten minutes in total, A Song of Ice and Fire.
The Qin and Han dynasties are the source of Chinese civilization, which was created in the Qin and completed in the Han Dynasty, which is beyond doubt. The foundation of the Qin people's Fen VI finally laid a pattern of great unification for China, and the Han people stereotyped a Juche nation with the rise and fall of 400 years in succession.
Then, despite hundreds of years of turmoil, this civilization and this Juche nation could not be destroyed after all.
I'm not a Han nationalist, or I'm a Han nationalist.
In my opinion, the nation should not be judged by blood and region, but by cultural beliefs.
Today I was told that those who believe in God and Allah are still Han Chinese, and tomorrow I am told that those who cannot speak Chinese and cannot write Chinese characters are still Han Chinese.
But I believe that one day, they will not be Han Chinese.
It's not that the Han nation is noble, after all, the ancestors have been broad, such as the Han, Tang, Song and Ming dynasties, and the ancestors have also been down, such as the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the Yuan and Qing Dynasties. Like all nations, they rise and fall.
But the Han nation, or the Chinese nation, has the best point, that is, the main body has not completely disappeared.
In this world, from ancient times to the present, there has always been a nation with ceremonial clothes and square characters.
There is the beauty of clothing, which is called Hua, and there is the greatness of etiquette, which is called summer.
Of course, today, the beauty of clothing is gone, and the great etiquette is almost at the critical juncture of survival, and this Juche people, perhaps in the end, only has Chinese characters, which can prove their existence.
At that time, perhaps only experts could understand the vast ancient texts and understand the true meaning of China.
Thinking of this, I once had the idea of writing down the origin of China into a book, so that people could know how China came about.
But this proposition is so big that I am afraid to read it, and I can only think about it in private, and I never dare to say it.
Chinese civilization, in the opinion of a family, sprouted in the Xia and Shang dynasties, based on the Western Zhou Dynasty, developed in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and took shape in the Qin and Han dynasties.
The budding thing is too turbulent, and even the existence of the Xia Dynasty has been questioned, and there are too many brushes and inks in the period of development and formation, and I dare not laugh at the generous house.
So, I wanted to write a story about the Western Zhou Dynasty.
This is the reason why I mentioned that American drama at the beginning, tribal warfare, and China also had an era of tribal warfare. From the Xia Hou clan to the time of Zong Zhou, China has always been an era of tribal warfare.
Ethnic languages, various tribes in China, also have many ethnic languages. "The Divine Destiny Xuanniao descended to give birth to Shang", this is the Shang family; "Although the Zhou is an old state, its life is renewed", this is the Zhou people; "How can it be said that there is no clothes, and the same robe as the son", this is the Qin people.
However, the tribe is not the mainstream of Chinese civilization after all, and the pattern of etiquette, feudal patriarchy, and great unification is the mainstream of China.
King Wu is in turmoil, and the world is in Zhou.
Zhou ruled the world as a small country and a small people, and he would inevitably not be able to do the same as Dayi Shang, whoever was disobedient would go to crusade. It is even more impossible to be like Dayi Shang, the national capital has changed more than a dozen, and the country has been in civil strife for hundreds of years, but it has never fallen.
The Zhou people needed a wise system to protect their inheritance, which was the feudal patriarchal system, which was the law of ritual and music civilization. At the beginning of customization, there were Rong Di barbarians in all directions, that is, the enemies of Zhuxia. Therefore, there is a saying that the screen is Zhou.
What we are familiar with is only the story of the Qin State fighting the same enemy, regaining the hometown of Zongzhou from the hands of the dog Rong, and killing several generations of former kings in battle. As for the Jiang family's Qi State to destroy Dongyi, Yan Jin swept away Beidi, Chu Qi Nanban, and then there was the story of Qi, Jin and Chu successively dominating the Spring and Autumn Period, but few people know it.
Most of the Chinese people only know how to say that there is no Qin without clothes, but they don't know, there is also the unclear Qi in the East, as well as the Jin of Qitu Beidi, and the blue wisps of Chu on the road.
Spring and Autumn are not loaded, Chinese is not spoken, plus the Jin family is divided into three points, Jiang Qi is replaced, Chu is Qin destroyed, their deeds have been submerged in the vast dust of history.
But there is one sentence that has never been forgotten, that is: under the whole world, it is not the king's land, and on the shore of the land, it is not the king's minister. Without the merits of Qi, Qin, Jin, and Chu, there would be no such grandeur of Zong Zhou.
The later hundred schools of thought, the most representative schools of Chinese civilization, Confucianism began in Qilu, Taoism was born in Jingchu, and Legalism became in Qin and Jin, and the foundation of civilization was laid in this way.
So, I thought about writing a story like this, the story of our ancestors overcoming obstacles at the beginning of civilization.
However, I am only a shallow learner, and my pen power is limited, so I don't know where to write such a story.
Therefore, there is the Zhuxia Period, which uses mythology as a guide, history as a clue, and a blueprint for cultivation, and strives to portray a world based on civilization.
I am glad that I have the foundation of the previous book, which gave me a context of mythological change, and I am also glad that I wrote another book on the street, which gave me a little idea of the setting of my practice, and in the end, my difficulties are all in the real history.
However, what I wrote is not history after all, and in fact, the history of that period cannot distinguish who is true and who is false.
To give the simplest example, when I was sorting out the chronology of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, I referred to the historical records of Taishi Gong, Shao Yong's Huangji Jingshishu, the bamboo book unearthed later, and the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties project in previous years.
Horizontal comparison, but found that no matter which record it is, it is full of contradictions.
I'm not a historian, so I can't delve into it, so I can only choose from various sources according to my plot. As for the authenticity, I'm afraid I'll never know if it's true or not.
It was a mythical era like a cloud of smoke, and it was a legendary epic that had been added, deleted and subtracted by later generations.
