The Bodhisattva said: "This robe, the dragon is draped with a wisp, so as not to be devoured by the roc; But where you sit, there are all gods to salute, and there are seven Buddhas with you in every action. This robe is made of ice silkworms, and the skillful craftsman turns it into a thread. Xian'e weaves, the goddess is machined, the square clusters are embroidered and sewn, and the pieces are piled up. This robe is folded in leisure time, and it is worn only when it meets the saint. Fold in leisure, thousands of layers of wrapping through the rainbow, when the saint wears, alarm the gods and ghosts of the heavens.

When the king of Tang heard the words in the treasure hall, he was very happy, and asked, "That monk, what is the benefit of the nine-ring staff?"

The Bodhisattva said: "My tin staff is the nine rings made of copper and iron, and the nine immortal vines will stay forever." I am tired of looking at the green bones and thin at the beginning, and I will go down the mountain and bring the white clouds lightly. The five ancestors of Moha traveled to the sky, and Luo Bu found his mother to break the ground. Do not stain the red dust and filth, and like to accompany the monks to the Jade Mountain. ”

When King Tang heard this, he said, "Elder Dafa, I really won't hide it from you. I have opened up the good teachings today, planted a wide range of blessings, and saw many monks gathered in the Huasheng Temple to perform the scriptures. There is a great virtuous person in it, whose legal name is Xuanzang. I will buy you these two treasures and give them to use. What is your asking price?"

When the Bodhisattva heard this, he took refuge with the wooden fork, said the Buddha's name, bowed down and said: "Since he is virtuous, the poor monk is willing to give him away, and he never wants money." ”

Taizong gave Xuanzang a robe and a nine-ring tin staff to Xuanzang, and the elder shook off the robe, draped it on his body, held a tin staff, and stood in front of the steps. The monarchs and ministers were all pleased.

The master was on the stage, reciting the "Sutra of Birth and Death" for a while, talking about the "Anbang Tianbao Seal" for a while, and announcing the "Persuasion and Cultivation Scroll" for a while.

Guanyin Bodhisattva approached, patted the treasure platform, and shouted, "That monk, you can only talk about the 'Hinayana teachings', but can you talk about the 'Mahayana'?"

When Xuanzang heard this, he was overjoyed, turned over and jumped off the stage, and said to the Bodhisattva: "Master, the disciple is unsightly and sinful." The monks in front of me all talked about the 'Hinayana teachings', but they didn't know what the 'Mahayana teachings' were. ”

The Bodhisattva said: "Your Hinayana teachings cannot exalt the dead, but only the vulgar and light; I have the Mahayana Buddhism Sanzang, which can transcend the dead and ascend to heaven, can overcome the suffering of difficult people, can cultivate immeasurable longevity, and can do nothing to come and go." ”

At the water and land conference, Taizong said: "Since you have come here to listen to the lecture, you should only eat some fasting, why do you talk nonsense with my master, disturb the scripture hall, and misunderstand my Buddhist affairs?"

The Bodhisattva said, "Your master is talking about the Hinayana teachings, and the dead will not ascend to heaven. I have the Mahayana Buddhism Sanzang, and I can get rid of death and suffering, and my life will not be bad. ”

Taizong Zhengsexi asked, "Where is your Mahayana Buddhism?" The Bodhisattva said: "In the Daleiyin Temple of the Great West Tianzhu Kingdom, where my Buddha came, I can solve the knot of a hundred grievances and eliminate the disaster without vain. ”

After a dialogue with Guanyin Bodhisattva, he strengthened the idea of learning scriptures, and ordered the monks: "And the victory will be won, and I will send someone to obtain the Mahayana scriptures, and then Bing Dan Cheng will rebuild the good results." ”

At that time, he asked in the temple: "Who is willing to receive my will and go to the west to worship the Buddha and ask for scriptures?"

I can't ask, the mage flashed next to him, and the emperor saluted and said: "The poor monk is not talented, I am willing to follow the work of dogs and horses, and seek the true scriptures with Your Majesty, and pray for the eternal stability of my king." ”

King Tang was overjoyed, stepped forward and helped the royal hand up, and said: "The mage can be loyal and virtuous, not afraid of long distances, trekking mountains and rivers, I am willing to worship you as a brother." Xuanzang thanked him.

Tang Wangguo is very virtuous, so he went to the temple in front of the Buddha, and Xuanzang bowed four times, and was called "the holy monk of the royal brother".

Xuanzang thanked him and said: "Your Majesty, what virtue and ability can a poor monk have, dare to be favored by heaven? ”

Stick incense in front of the Buddha and swear by it. The king of Tang was very happy, and immediately ordered to return to Luan, waiting for the selection of a good day, and then drove back to disperse.

Xuanzang also returned to Hongfu Temple, and many monks and a few apprentices in the temple said worriedly: "The road to the west is far away, and there are more tigers and leopards and demons, but I am afraid that there will be no return, and it will be difficult to save my life." ”

Xuanzang also said worriedly: "I have made a great vow that if I don't take the true scriptures, I will fall into hell forever." Probably because of the king's favor, he had to be loyal to serve the country. It's really slim for me to go, and it's hard to determine whether I'm going to do it. ”

Xuanzang is also unable to, although he is the reincarnation of the golden cicada, but he has been reincarnated for ten lives, and his Buddha nature has been weakened a lot, but he was infected by the mainstream Confucianism when he was reincarnated in Nan Ganbuzhou, and his Buddha nature is already impure.

He is also a person who understands, and only took the initiative to sign up after the Tang King chose to learn from the scriptures, otherwise he received the robe, the nine-ring tin staff, and the person who led the entire water and land conference.

Because the Buddha nature is not pure, he only regarded this scripture study as a reward for Wang En, and he had to be loyal to repay the country.

The next morning, Taizong set up a dynasty, gathered civil and military, wrote scriptures, used the passage treasure seal, sent Tang Seng to travel, and said: "For me to obtain the true scriptures, I will not treat the royal brother badly." ”

Since then, Tang Seng has been forced to reluctantly embark on the road to the west alone.

Tang Seng did not really wake up at this time because of the damage to the Buddha nature, and he also thought of the danger of the westward journey, but he did not think of the real danger of the westward journey to what status.

In this industry, it can be described as natural and man-made disasters, trading and fighting between major forces, and endless killings.

I originally thought that as long as I went to Xiniu Hezhou to obtain the true scriptures, I didn't think that this was just a task of the entire journey to the west, and the more important task was to rotate with the way of heaven, so that everyone who learned the scriptures had to do their best.

It can be said that although it is a journey to the west, it is meaningless whether the three Buddhas want to spread the Buddhist scriptures to the east, or the Tang King intends to learn the scriptures, it can be said that they are high-level intentions, and they have little to do with the people who learn the scriptures, they are just staff members who have completed the task.
