Chapter 3: A Visit to Shaolin

Xiaoyao, who had been successful in practice, made up his mind to leave Bibo Lake and visit the Shaolin Temple of the Martial Arts Sect in the world, in order to find exercises such as the Yijin Sutra and the Pulp Washing Sutra in the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion that could help him break through the bottleneck.

Shaolin Temple, also known as "Monk Temple", is a Buddhist temple located under the five rufeng of Songshan Mountain, which is the birthplace of Shaolin martial arts, the ancestral court of Zen Buddhism of Han Buddhism, because it is located in the dense jungle under Shaolin Mountain in the hinterland of Songshan Mountain, so it is named "Shaolin Temple". Shaolin Temple is famous all over the world for Shaolin Kung Fu and is known as "the first temple in the world".

Located in the hinterland of the Central Plains, the transportation is developed, and the capital Luoyang is across the mountain. The surrounding mountains are embraced, the peaks are connected, and the scattered ones form the natural barrier of the Shaolin Temple. Songshan Mountain is Taimur Mountain in the east, Shaomur Mountain in the west, each has 36 peaks, and the peaks are famous.

On this day in the 90th year of Qin Yuan, Xiaoyao was passing through Shaolin Temple.

Obviously, the purpose of this trip is to follow the guidance of Yuankong to find the "Yijin Sutra" and "Washing the Pulp Sutra", which are known as the source of Shaolin Kung Fu, which record a kind of kung fu that dredges the meridians of the human body to strengthen the muscles and bones.

Shaolin Kung Fu is the largest sect in the Han martial arts, with more than 700 kinds of martial arts routines.

Shaolin Temple martial arts superb, well-known at home and abroad, the word "Shaolin" has become a symbol of the traditional martial arts of the Han nationality, ranking in Wudang, Kunlun, Emei, Diancang, Huashan, Hainan faction of the head, for the well-deserved first sect.

Xiaoyao was allowed to enter the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion with the tokens and read the seventy-two Shaolin stunts.

After practicing the Yi Jin Sutra in Shaolin retreat for 10 years, Xiaoyao, who was just 100 years old, achieved success in cultivation through Yi Gu and Yi Teng, and was successfully reborn and squeezed into the ranks of the peak martial artists of the day after tomorrow.

Every day of his retreat is to study the famous works of Zen Master Dezheng "Shaolin Meditation Song" and "Shaolin Spirit".

Occasionally visit the murals on the stone wall to see the inscriptions left by the literati and ink writers:

In the Shaolin Temple in the past 10 years, the life of the free life is very fulfilling, into its Buddhist realm Zen realm to get a Buddha relationship, listen to the story of the Shaolin Temple full of bloody wind and rain every day.

Since the establishment of Shaolin Temple, it has experienced a tortuous history of several scraps.

Emperor Wu banned the Buddha, and the temple was destroyed.

Then there was the peasant uprising, and the monks fled.

The emperors also often cared about the Shaolin Temple, or wrote the plaque themselves, or toured the temple.

This is how I felt during my visit to Shaolin: meditation is "meditation", and Buddhism calls quiet contemplation meditation.

Bodhidharma proposed a new meditation method, which negated the ladder level and successive generations of practice in Indian Buddhism, and advocated that everyone has Buddha nature, that is, "nature", that everyone has the wisdom to become a Buddha, that is, "Bodhi", and that everyone can become a Buddha through the realization of Buddha nature, although it is difficult to predict when he will suddenly become enlightened.

The reason why sentient beings fail to become Buddhas is because they are not aware of their own nature. Once "the fog is cleared and the sky is clear", the mind is clear, and the nature is the Buddha, and the Buddha becomes an ordinary person who raises his eyes.
