Chapter 162: The Final Crisis

In the lonely Hogwarts Great Hall, most of the lights have been extinguished, and the black night sky on the ceiling is particularly eye-catching.

The two headmasters sat there silently, continuing their conversation—

"So, do you already know?" asked Weta Rozier, with some eagerness, "who is he...... The phoenix that hides among us...... His true identity!"

"I'm sorry, Weta, I don't know ...... yet," Gellert Grindelwald shook his head, but soon, a confident smile appeared on his face again:

"But I'm sure he'll be showing his feet soon!"

"I'll do everything I can to get him out as soon as possible!" Rozier said categorically.

"Don't worry, Veta," Grindelwald shook his head calmly, "because they're going to be more anxious than we are, especially at this moment!"

"But......" Rozier hesitated for a moment, then asked softly, "if they did break into the Headmaster's office, then they should have proof of it...... You can't really control Hogwarts...... It's going to be a bit of a disservice to us......"

"But it doesn't matter!" replied Grindelwald indifferently.

"The greater the risk we pay, the greater the benefit...... If all goes well, we may be able to wipe out the last opposition in the next six months...... At that time, our dreams will be ready to be put into practice......"

"I've been looking forward to this day, the day when wizards truly reign over the world!" Rozier exclaimed excitedly.

It's rare to see such a happy smile on the face of this usually serious Hogwarts headmaster—

As the smile faded from her face, she continued, "However, I still don't understand ......"

She wanted to speak, but she stopped.

"Oh, say it!" Grindelwald furrowed.

"What is it that attracts the remnants of the Order of the Phoenix, I have never been able to figure out," Rozier said slowly, "Is it just the evidence that those students found fifteen years ago, the evidence that you don't actually have control over Hogwarts...... Is it really worth it for them to come out of the nest and take such a big risk, like moths to a fire......"

“...... We've been fighting with the Order of the Phoenix for nearly fifty years, stripping their influence away from the British wizarding world little by little, and it's the first time we've seen them so excited...... Even if the evidence against you is completely made public, it will have a slight impact on your reputation at best, and it will not be decisive ......"

"That's the fun of the future, isn't it," Grindelwald said with a laugh, "the unknown ......"

"Lord Grindelwald......" Rozier's voice was slightly complaining.

"Alright, Vita. Grindelwald's voice became a little more serious:

"But I'm serious......"

He paused, seemingly falling into a long silence.

Rozier didn't bother him, just waited silently.

"Once upon a time...... I was young...... "Finally, Grindelwald began, "and at that time, I made a very serious mistake...... I killed an innocent girl and ended up parting ways with my best friend for good......"

Vita Rozier was shocked.

As the number two person in the former "Saints" organization, as the deputy headmaster of Hogwarts, and as the closest subordinate to Gellert Grindelwald...... It was the first time she had heard Master Grindelwald for the first time in all these years, reminiscing about his experiences when he was younger.

During the Wizarding Wars fifty years ago, Rozier followed Grindelwald and killed many wizards who opposed them...... He had no idea that Master Grindelwald would regret killing an innocent girl, that he would regret parting ways with a "friend", and who that "friend" was......

"After I was expelled from Durmstrang School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, I learned many prophetic techniques with the venerable Lady Kassandra Trelawney...... I have shown such a talent that I have been impressed by the greatest prophet of the centuries......"

“...... I have always followed the call of fate, and I have always believed that everything is a choice of fate...... Until that time, I was confronted with the exact opposite of what had been prophesied......" Gellert Grindelwald's gaze was suddenly full of memories:

"Then I finally understood that only the stupidest wizard would let prophecy determine his future!"

"We have all seen your prophecy, Lord Grindelwald......" Rozier whispered, "we have never doubted its veracity......

"But the world is not going to be smooth...... There's always some damn fluctuation, something unexpected, that's holding it back......" Grindelwald explained.

So prophecy can always only be a reference, and if you believe it completely, you will be confined to a certain framework, and you will end up suffering from it...... The future needs to be in our own hands, not just our future...... And the future of the entire wizarding world, this is our mission!"

"You mean......" Rozier frowned, "the last ditch fight of those Order of the Phoenix...... Just for the unexpected?"

"There's no doubt about it, Veta," Grindelwald nodded, "and they were defeated more than a decade ago...... To change all that, they need a little surprise...... So, now it's their last madness......"

"I see!" Rozier muttered, nodding thoughtfully.

"This is the last and biggest crisis we are about to face!" Grindelwald said with a serious expression.

"I can feel it, Lord Grindelwald," Rozier echoed, "and everything is calm, and it's not quite like words...... The centaurs in the Forbidden Forest seem to be on the move, and reactionary rhetoric is spreading among the elves and house-elves, as well as all the Hogwarts ...... They're in action!"

"So, thank you, Veta!" Grindelwald sighed, "I'm going to have to handle all of this to you in the future, and I probably won't be able to help much......"

"It's my responsibility, Lord Grindelwald, and I'll guard what we have!" Vita Rozier said solemnly.

She exclaimed, "For the greater good!"

"Yes, for the greater good!"
