Chapter 40: The Office of the Vice-Chancellor (Ask for Recommendation)

Neville Longbottom had the lightest thing in his hands, and he was at the front of the line.

I saw him knock lightly on the door, and soon Professor Rozier's slightly indifferent voice sounded in the room:

"Please come in!"

Neville pushed the door open, and the three of them walked into the vice principal's office with a handful of housekeeping supplies.

"Professor Rozier. Neville looked slightly nervous, and his voice stammered, "Mr. Pringer sent us...... Come...... to clean your office. ”

Professor Vita Rozier was sitting upright behind her desk when she looked up, "Okay, say it when you need my cooperation." ”

With that, she lowered her head again, as if continuing to review the students' after-class papers.

Neville looked visibly relieved.

Professor Rozier's aura was indeed strong enough, and just one glance at them made them a little breathless.

Even Matthew felt that way.

Harry Evans, who was on the side, was even more frightened.

......

Professor Rozier's office, which looks rather concise.

All the furniture, just included: a bookshelf full of books, a cupboard that I don't know what it contained, and the desk and chair where she was now working.

Other than that, there is nothing else.

Such a room is the easiest to clean up at first glance.

It seems that their luck is much better than that of Crabbe and Goyle's gang.

The cleaning work began.

Matthew and the others had a simple division of labor, Neville was in charge of sweeping the dust off the floor with a broom, Evans was in charge of cleaning the windows, and Matthew was in charge of cleaning the bookshelves with a rag.

On the way, they moved as gently as possible so as not to disturb Professor Rozier.

Books that can be placed on Professor Rozier's bookshelf are naturally not ordinary books.

Matthew dusted the bookshelves as he glanced at the covers of the outermost books.

He saw a copy of The Secret of Cutting-Edge Dark Magic, as well as a Guide to the Ultimate Transfiguration......

If it weren't for Professor Rozier right behind him, Matthew might have been tempted to open it and take a look.

Now, of course, he only dares to concentrate on cleaning......

While washing the rag, Matthew glanced quietly at Professor Rozier.

She seemed to have made a cup of black tea and took a few sips from time to time while correcting her papers.

Professor Rozier suddenly raised his head again, startling Matthew to look away.

The bookshelf was wiped down, and now it was the turn of that cupboard.

In the crack of the cabinet, I could vaguely smell a strange smell, some familiar, but for a moment I couldn't remember where I smelled it.

Minutes and seconds passed.

Neville had meticulously swept the room with a broom, Evans had polished the windows, and Matthew had done his job.

Now it's the turn to mop the floorβ€”

Matthew picked up the mop and began to mop the room from the inside out.

Neville placed a few dirty rags into the basin and walked to the bathroom.

Evans was about to help Matthew, but was stopped by Professor Rozier.

"Mr. Evans!" she pointed to the thick stack of scrap paper on the table, "please bring them to Mr. Plumger." ”

"Good...... Okay......" Harry Evans stammered, and then picked up the scrap paper that was more than a foot tall with some difficulty.

Then he also walked out of Professor Rozier's office.

Now, only Matthew and Professor Rozier are left in the room.

Matthew dragged the floor as he felt the quiet atmosphere, a little oozing.

......

Soon, Matthew took the mop and came to Professor Rozier's side.

"Professor Rozier. He asked softly, "Can you give in a little bit?"

Professor Rozier didn't reply, just stood up sharply, and she glanced Matthew up and down.

When her eyes looked at Matthew, Matthew only felt himself suddenly shiver and his hands and feet were cold.

Thankfully, the gaze didn't last long, and Professor Rozier left her place and walked out of the office.

Matthew couldn't believe what he was seeing-

Professor Rozier left with a big bang, and with Neville and Evans, who had left the place before, he was now the only one left in the entire office.

He turned his gaze to where the bookshelves were.

But soon, he dismissed his thoughts...... Perhaps Professor Rozier was just going to the bathroom, and if he did anything to touch her things now, he might be caught later.

He had not forgotten Mr. Pringer's warning.

Matthew removed Professor Rozier's bench and prepared to start mopping the floor.

However, his movements stopped for a moment.

Because in front of him, he suddenly saw a small, blood-like drop.

Very bright red with a slightly hideous look.

And according to the location of this drop...... Most likely, Professor Rozier was sitting on a bench drinking something and accidentally dripping it down.

So, that is-

Matthew shifted his gaze to the teacup on the table again.

The teacup was closed tightly by the lid, and no information could be seen inside.

However, on the edge of the mouth of the teacup, a few traces of bright red can be faintly seen.

Do you want...... Go over and open the teacup to see what's inside?

Matthew hesitated for a moment......

However, in his mind, Mr. Pringer's warning sounded again:

"Also, Professor Rozier doesn't like people messing with her things, don't blame me for not warning you!"

He lowered his head without hesitation, waved the mop, and dragged away all the traces in front of him.

All this in an instant.

As if Matthew Wakefield, he didn't see anything.

......

Just after Matthew had just mopped the floor of the entire room.

Neville Longbottom returned, with a basin and a few rags.

"Everything should have been taken care of. Matthew said softly.

"Okay, thank you, Matthew. Neville said quickly.

"You've worked hard too. ”

As they spoke, Harry Evans returned.

The emaciated boy looked out of breath at this time, and he was almost exhausted from carrying so much weight.

However, Professor Rozier still did not return.

The boys' faces were a little embarrassed, and it was common sense that they should be able to pack up their housekeeping supplies and go back to Mr. Plinger.

But they were hesitant to say goodbye to Professor Rozier.

......

At this moment, in the corridor downstairs, a violent barking suddenly sounded.

It was Mr. Tang's voice.

That golden retriever seems to have suddenly become extremely manic!
