15. The Holy Land of Martial Arts - Thousand Years Temple
Qianzai Temple is located in the northwest corner of Tang Village, 9 kilometers south of Boai County, Henan Province, south of the Longtou Bridge of the Yunliang River, on the east side of the highway from Boai to Neidu. The temple was founded in the Eastern Han Dynasty Yongping ten years (68 years), formerly known as Wuji Temple; in the Taiping Zhenjun period of the Northern Wei Dynasty (440 years ~ 450 years), Emperor Taiwu of Wei destroyed the Buddha and changed its name to Wuji Temple; in the second year of Xing'an of Emperor Wencheng of the Northern Wei Dynasty (453 years) to restore the old name; in the Eastern Wei Dynasty, it was renamed Wuji Temple, and later changed to Qianzai Temple.
The Thousand Years Temple sits in the north and faces south, and the mountain gate is a single eaves rest on the top of the mountain. The first entrance hall of the temple has three churches, the Zen Taoist school, the Wuji hall, the Jishan Pavilion and the bell and drum tower; the second entrance hall is the Tianwang Palace, the Big Buddha Palace, the Daxiong Treasure Palace; and the Taimur Temple (Lianwu Hall) is behind the Daxiong Treasure Palace. There are corridors on the east and west sides of the temple, which are respectively sculpted with the image of the Bodhisattva and the statue of the three monks of the Tang Dynasty. The scale of the millennium temple is magnificent, the halls of each hall are towering, the heavy eaves are the arches, it is magnificent.
The east of Qianzai Temple is the Three Holy Gates, there are the Confucian Temple, the Fuxi Palace, the Wenwang Palace, and then the east is the Taiji Gate, there are the Bagua Gate, the Taiji Palace, the Laojun Palace, the Sun Zhen Palace, the Patriarch Palace, etc. Qianzai Temple is the collective name of Qianzai Temple, Sanshengmen, Taiji Gate and other buildings. There are many original steles in the Qianzai Temple, up to more than 100 passes, among them, there are the steles written by the mother of Xu Shu at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the statue stele of the monk Hui of the Northern Wei Dynasty, the stele written by the Taoist famous Wang Chongyang, Qiu Chuji, Zhang Sanfeng, the stele of Sima Yi seeking the root and worshiping the ancestors, the stele of Wuji Tu, the stele of the immigrants of the Shanhong Cave of the Thousand Years Temple, the stele of the ten forces of the monks of the Thousand Years Temple, etc., all have the value of precious historical relics. These steles have been repeatedly destroyed after liberation, and the steles written by Xu Shu's mother have been broken into several pieces and scattered among the people. Other steles, when Tang Village repaired and polished the water in the west of Longtou Bridge, were used as building materials and used as grinding bases. There is a huge iron bell in the Thousand Years Temple, which was cast in the fifth year of Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty (1825), and is now stored in the Hall of the East King Hetang Wang.
In short, the temple is a temple with the purpose of promoting the three religions of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. The temple is equipped with the temples of the gods of interpretation, Taoism and Confucianism, with both civil and military affairs, mutual respect for precepts, and joint cultivation of health.
At the same time, the Qianziji Temple has a long tradition of martial arts and a profound martial arts culture. From the names of "Wuji Temple" and "Wuji Temple", it can be speculated that the temple may be related to Wujiquan. "Northern Wei Dynasty Monk Hui Statue Tablet", has clearly recorded that Qianzai Temple is "the hometown of Wuji" and "the hometown of Wuji". "Northern Wei Dynasty Monk Hui Statue Tablet", originally located in the mountain gate of Qianzai Temple, stood in July of the third year of Wuding in the Eastern Wei Dynasty (545 years), now only the remnant of the tablet. In the fifth year of Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty (825), the "Hanoi County Chronicles" contains the full text, which contains the words "Therefore, it can invigorate the wind in the wilderness of the desert and hit the jade chime in the hometown of Wuji", "Qianzai Temple has the great master of Wei, the old Shamen Dufaen, the wonderful cause is the original intention, and the pure industry is built in the hometown of Wuji", from which it can be inferred that in the period of the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, specifically, at least until the Eastern Wei Dynasty, the Qianzai Temple of Boai Tang Village was called "the hometown of Wuji" and "the hometown of Wuji". However, due to the lack of literature, we cannot find the earliest record of the "hometown of Wuji" and "hometown of Wuji" in Senzaiji Temple, and we also cannot find out who founded "Wujiquan" in Senzai Temple at the earliest.
In the Tang Dynasty, Li Daozi, the abbot of Qianzai Temple, was a monk with ten forces, "taking the three treatises as his business", and created the art of Wuji health preservation. In the fifty-fourth year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1715), the "Thousand Years Temple Tang Seng Ten Forces Monument" recorded: Tang Zhenguan gave Li the name of Confucius, the word Daowu, the number of the ten power monks, the number of Youhua Daozi, Hanoi people, Sui Daye ten years on February 2, Hanoi Wuji Temple area, the three sects of the dragon descended to the mortal, Ma Lan grass mother was born. Less is cong, never forget, literature, martial arts, medicine, Yi, Bo, art are all cultivated, "Nirvana", "Regent", "Huang Lao" through the passage, carry forward the interpretation, Taoism, Confucianism, Rong Yi to "Da Ming Du Wuji Sutra", "Yi Jin Jing", "Tao Te Ching", "Huang Ting Jing", "Qianjin Yifang", guide Tuna, create art Wuji health martial arts, practice and pass on the "Thousand Years of Health Medical Secrets", martial arts practice moon snow, the three saints of feeling, dream art skills, police martial arts. Zhao lived in Beijing, made a statue of Xishan, a pseudonym of seclusion, art passed on to Dongquan, medical tour Yangzhou, awarded the virtuous Ming, Lushan passed on art, plastic art Shaolin, late autumn Huangye, returned to the hometown to raise a brother. The teacher said: The three teachings are right, strict discipline and martial arts, don't be corrupt, fist is the people's livelihood, overcome rigidity with softness, and give up from people. Unsuccessful device, don't name the teacher, the dragon raises its head, and it will be reunited for thousands of years.
The legendary master of ten forces, health supernatural powers, sixty days of silence for eighteen days, ninety-nine double yang, rejuvenation, one hundred and twenty-eight years of star life, Kaiyuan in the middle of the Yuan Yuan Temple three churches, funeral ceremony, soft body, complexion, wearing a robe, body covered robe, head resting three teaching scriptures, holding an ink sword, monks standing left, Taoist priests guarding the right, Confucian official etiquette, the three teachings are not dispersed, ask the younger brother to bury the secret master Xiansha altogether, do not build a tower, and the world is rare, if the big coincidence, health artifact, so the world can not win the reputation, interpretation, Taoism, The unity of Confucianism and the three religions, the erudite monks, and the infinite health preservation fist skills to win the battle of the ancestors.
On February 2, the year of Kangxi Bingshen in the Qing Dynasty, the ancient Tibetan remnants of the Qianzai Temple were translated and written. From the inscription, it can be known that the monk Tang Shili "less is cong, literature, martial arts, medicine, Yi, Bo, art are all cultivated, carry forward the three teachings of interpretation, Taoism and Confucianism, and Rong Yi uses "Daming Du Wuji Sutra", "Yijin Sutra", "Tao Te Ching", "Huang Ting Sutra", "Qianjin Yifang", to guide Tuna, and create art Wuji health martial arts".
Zhou Dunyi said in "Taiji Diagram": "Wuji and Taiji." "Tai Chi is infinite. The Tang Shili monk "Chuangyi Wuji Health Martial Arts" is actually "Chuangyi" Tai Chi Health Martial Arts, thus laying the foundation for the "Creative Art" of Tai Chi.
In the Ming Dynasty, the Li family of Tang Village was deeply influenced by the martial arts tradition of the Qianzai Temple, practiced boxing for generations, and when it was the eighth Li Chunmao, he had entered the Qianzai Temple, the Three Holy Gates, and the Taiji Palace to apprentice to Bogong Martial Arts, practice boxing, cross the sword, carry forward the unity of the three religions, discuss the thirteen potential boxing of Wuji Health Preservation Gong, and teach boxing in Jin, Shandong, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Huguang, and several provinces are famous. Li Zhong, Li Xin, the ninth generation of the Li family, and Chen Jiagou's aunt Chen Zuoting, Taijimen apprenticeship, Shuzhi Wenwu, became famous, created Tai Chi health skills, and practiced the thirteen potential Tonggong Gong of Wujigong.
In the Qing Dynasty, following Li Zhong, Li Xin, and Chen Zuoting, famous Taijiquan masters such as Li Helin, ** Ji, and Wang Zongyue emerged in Tang Village. Li Helin, the twelfth of the Li family, was born in the 55th year of Kangxi (1716), and wrote "Taijiquan Theory", "Thirteen Potential Boxing Songs", "Taiji Health Boxing Spectrum" and other works. His disciple Wang Zongyue once taught and learned boxing in Tang Village and Qi Village. In the 58th year of Qianlong (1793), on Li Helin's birthday, Wang Zongyue once inscribed a plaque for his teacher: "Wu Yuanjiedi", and inscribed a tablet for the "Xi Wutang" in Tang Village: "Tai Chi Health Martial Hall". The current site still exists.
After the Republic of China, Qianzisi Taijiquan was widely spread in Boai County, and there were still five martial arts schools in Tang Village. In the villages near Tang Village, as well as Xiaozhongli Village, Guitun Third Street, etc., the main types of boxing that are circulated are "Tai Chi Soft Thirteen", "Health Soft Boxing", etc., among which Xiaozhongli Village is the masterpiece. Xiaozhongli Village has produced many martial arts masters, the more famous is Mr. Zhang Zhenxing. Mr. Zhang Zhenxing was born in modern times (around 1880) and died in the 70s of the 20th century at the age of 90. When Zhang Zhenxing was in his eighties, the dry shed (small house) in the courtyard could still go vertically, and his kung fu was still very good. To this day, dozens of people still practice martial arts in Tang Village and nearby villages. Therefore, the Qianzai Temple of Boai Tangcun has a long tradition of martial arts and a profound martial arts culture, which lays a cultural foundation for the establishment and development of Wujiquan and Taijiquan.
