033 times, 100-year-old feelings for a long time, a lifetime of sincerity and great medical heart
Later generations mentioned Sun Simiao, the grandfather of the king of medicine, intentionally or unintentionally, sent a lot of saint cards to this respected old man, including CCTV's Hundred Pulpit column. As far as Mei Zhenyi saw with his own eyes, Sun Simiao's practice of medicine is at least three different from the legends of later generations.
First of all, some people say that Sun Simiao has practiced medicine all his life to help the world, help the poor people, and do not charge money for medical treatment for ordinary people. This is taken for granted, Sun Simiao will charge money for seeing a doctor, which is not more expensive than the consultation fee charged by ordinary doctors, but it is not cheaper either.
In ancient times, there were two situations in which doctors charged for medical treatment: one was to diagnose and prescribe a prescription, and let the patient go home to take the medicine according to the prescription, and then the consultation fee was collected. In most cases, doctors see patients like this, ordinary doctors are not able to open pharmacies, and at that time opening pharmacies was much more profitable than practicing medicine. The second situation is that when you encounter some special diseases, you need plasters, pills, loose medicines and other medicines, which are not available in the pharmacy, and the doctor configures them by himself, or if you need to deal with them in case of bruises, etc., you will be charged another drug fee.
During the reign of Tang Gaozong, although the power struggle in the court was fierce, the people lived and worked in peace and contentment, and the material nature was not as rich as that of modern society, but it was relatively peaceful and rich, and most of the people did not lack food and clothing. Some villagers have no cash in their hands for a while, so they will send a few buckets of millet, a few horses of homespun cloth, a few baskets of eggs, a few pieces of bacon, and game from the mountains to temporarily arrive at the consultation fee, and Sun Simiao does not care about accepting it. The old people can't use it themselves, and they all reward the servants around them.
This is not a question of money, even if Sun Simiao can live without receiving medical fees, and the old doctor is like this, then what should the other doctors do? Everywhere the old man goes, don't the folk doctors have to drink the northwest wind and starve to death, and who will they go to see a doctor in the future? Sun Simiao's practice of medicine will not hinder the survival and development of this industry in the vicinity.
Of course, there are times when the elderly do not charge money for medical treatment, and they go to the countryside to practice medicine for free, and they have done this kind of thing many times in their lives, which is often in a special situation, that is, the epidemic. Regardless of ancient or modern, in the event of a large-scale plague outbreak, doctors alone are not enough, and it is necessary for the government to organize assistance and mobilize the strength of the whole society.
To give an example, in the early Tang Dynasty, there was an outbreak of "furious wind" in the Taihang Mountains, which was a leprosy that people talked about, and ordinary people, including doctors, avoided it. However, Sun Simiao went deep into the epidemic area regardless of the danger, led his disciples to establish isolation and treatment places in the mountains, treated more than 600 leprosy patients, cured more than 60 with his own hands, and left detailed medical records. This can already be described by the words "immeasurable merit".
Sun Simiao had a deep friendship with Mei Zhenyi's grandfather Liu Boshu, also because of a plague. At that time, Sun Simiao met Liu Boshu in Wucheng to collect medicine and was warmly received, and at this time the news of the shortage of doctors and medicines in Guanzhong came to the epidemic, and Sun Simiao immediately resigned and returned to Guanzhong. Before leaving, Liu Boshu pointed to a tentary boat on the dock and said: "I have admired the old man for a long time, you are here to save the dead and help the wounded, and Liu should also do his best." In this way, whatever herbs you need for your old age, as long as you have them locally, I can fill this ship and send it to you. ”
Sun Simiao really spoke, not polite at all, and filled a boatload of medicine. Later, Sun Simiao did his best to treat Mei Zhenyi, and it was not without reason.
Secondly, the second point, some people say that Sun Simiao has practiced medicine all his life and does not refuse to come, and he sees anyone with any disease, and the medicine is cured, but the actual situation is not like this. Although it is not clear how the old man saw patients in his early years, as far as Mei Zhenyi saw with his own eyes, Sun Simiao also politely declined patients, and more often did not even prescribe medicine.
According to traditional Chinese medicine, in addition to trauma (bruising) and wind evil (infection and illness), many other diseases can be classified as "emotional diseases". The so-called emotional illness refers to the physiological and functional lesions caused by a person's mentality, living habits, environment and other factors. The simplest example, narrow-mindedness, inability to see things or irregular diet, can easily lead to stomach problems. Even the "wind evil" is also related to the "emotion", a person's resistance, immunity is directly related to the living environment and habits, treatment is to mobilize a person's inner recovery function through various means, if the person does not have this function or it is very weak, then all the surgery can not be done, all the medicine will not be effective.
The core of TCM treatment is to "uphold the right and dispel the evil", and the so-called "righteousness" is the normal state of human life between heaven and earth. The ancient Chinese are very interesting, in historical records, when people died, they often did not say what kind of illness they had, but said "died of grief", "died of depression", "died of indulgence" and so on.
In a certain sense, many modern diseases are also "social emotional diseases" in a broad sense. For example, drinking milk with excessive amounts of melamine can cause kidney stones, pathologically because the compound is slightly soluble and not absorbed, but on the other hand, the epidemic of this phenomenon is related to the pathological environment of social development. It is not only those who drink milk that will get sick, but the people who produce this milk will have already contracted the disease, and the disease is not mild! Drug and surgical treatment are one thing, and the more important prescription is to cure the pathologies of this social environment. This explains why the highest state of medical Tao is called "Jishi", and why good medicine is regarded as good and good.
There are many times when Sun Simiao does not prescribe decoction prescriptions after hearing about it, he just tells the "patient" how to adjust his eating habits, living habits, and even his thoughts and daily behavior, so that the disease can heal itself, otherwise it will recur even if it is cured for a while. Modern charlatans also have such medical treatments, but Sun Simiao is definitely not only a comfort and fool, every sentence has a basis for medical ethics and pathology, and inadvertently has the intention of influencing and correcting the world. Mei Zhenyi saw it in his eyes and had a deeper understanding of the differences between "sharp" and "li", "dao" and "art" in traditional rivers and lakes.
There were also some patients who were persuaded by Sun Simiao to go down the mountain, telling them that they could find a doctor in the city for treatment, and that they didn't have to travel to Qiyunguan for treatment, and even if they were allowed to come for treatment, they would be no different from ordinary doctors. Most of these are rich and idle people in the city, and there are also people who are picky about their usual good things, and occasionally have a little headache and brain fever.
And Sun Simiao just said, "You don't have to come far, just seek a doctor nearby!" and then sent these people down the mountain. These people have traveled all the way in vain, and it is inevitable that they will have a lot of slander, and there is nothing good to say about Sun Simiao. However, if Sun Simiao does not do this, first, his energy will be limited, and he may delay the patients who really need treatment, and second, won't other doctors in Wuzhou have lost their livelihood? With Sun Simiao's reputation and status, he has long since stopped caring about these reputations, and he really does not dare to do so as an ordinary doctor.
In this way, there are many fewer people who have nothing to do and run to Qiyunguan, many people still ask the nearest doctor to see a doctor, and the general doctor will take the initiative to suggest that the patient go to Qiyunguan to find Sun Lao Immortal when he encounters a condition that cannot be seen or cannot be determined. Many doctors simply accompany patients to find Sun seniors and ask for advice in person, and Sun Simiao is always very patient and meticulous to communicate and explain the experience of diagnosis and medication. Sun Simiao is not only a doctor, but also a teacher of doctors.
There are curable symptoms that cannot be cured, doctors can only treat diseases but not lives, and Sun Simiao is not curable of anyone's illness. In this case, Sun Simiao will teach patients how to prolong their life with illness, and at the same time will explain to other doctors the curable and incurable truths.
Finally, the third point, some people say that Sun Simiao must be personally involved in seeing a doctor and always fights on the front line of medical treatment, but this is not necessarily the case. Sun Simiao may have been like this when he was young, but don't forget that the old man has lived for more than a hundred years, and he has always been at the forefront, so what are the younger generations of protégés doing? It is also not in line with the traditional way of teaching and filial piety.
In Qiyun Temple, Sun Simiao does not sit in the hall in person many times, nor does he personally diagnose the pulse. The two medicine boys Qu Zhensheng and Qu Zhenming who received the patients were beside him, and the nearby doctors also came to Sun Simiao for advice, and by the way, they also received patients in Qiyunguan, and the two medical officers in Wuzhou Mansion also took turns to come to Qiyunguan, on the one hand, to learn from the old doctor, and on the other hand, to help Sun Simiao. In short, as soon as Sun Simiao came, Qiyunguan not only became a hospital, but also a medical school.
Most of the time, Sun Simiao is just pointing and observing from the sidelines, and if other doctors can't handle it or the treatment is wrong, the old man will reach out. More often than not, he explained medical science and medicine to the medicine boys and doctors, and Mei Zhenyi often listened to it on the sidelines, which was quite rewarding. By the beginning of spring in the second year, Mei Zhenyi's body had returned to normal, although it was not as strong as before the crossing, but it was no different from a normal person. He also likes to join in the fun, and often goes to the West Hospital to sit in the hall and check the pulse of patients.
It's nonsense for him to do this, but the people in the villa can't control him, and the strange thing is that Sun Simiao is also messing around with him, and others can't say anything. But Sun Simiao is still measured, all the patients Mei Zhenyi has seen, he will call other doctors or personally re-diagnose, and at the same time ask Mei Zhenyi what symptoms he has diagnosed, how to take the medicine? In this way, Sun Simiao found that Mei Zhenyi was very talented in medicine, and his heart became more and more happy!
It is impossible without talent, Mei Zhenyi was a student at the University of Chinese Medicine before she crossed over, and she at least looked decent and couldn't speak layman's words when she stretched out her hand. But for a child who only watched and studied medicine, this is nothing short of genius!
In the hospital, you can see all kinds of things in the world, and there are all kinds of people who come to see you. Qi Yunguan is far away from Wuzhou City on the mountain, and the old doctor does not sit in the hall himself, which makes many people who come here not very happy. For example, on this day, the chubby king came from outside, and he was pointing and pointing in the hall, and he was very dissatisfied.
The word "outside" was also an official title at the earliest, not only referring to old officials who were retired at home, but also officials outside the establishment in modern terms. This Wang Yuanwai is a flatterer wailang, and he does not have the official title of Bapin Wensan who has a substantive position, but he is also regarded as the No. 1 big man in the Wuzhou territory. The sick person is not Wang Yuanwai, but Wang Yuanwai's newly married concubine, who has a little cough in the wind these days, and carries a sedan chair up the mountain to find the old god to heal the disease.
Sun Simiao sat in the back hall with a curtain, and it happened that Mei Zhenyi had itchy hands on this day, and she also took the pulse in front of the hall, and just received this concubine. If it was in front of Sun Simiao, Wang Yuanwai would not dare to be presumptuous, but he didn't see Sun Simiao, but it was a half-grown son who checked his wife's pulse, he immediately became a little angry, and said in a non-yin and non-yang manner: "I heard that Sun Zhenren is not too young, and he doesn't know the rules how to do things, let such a kid sit in the hall." Is my wife's hand touched by the grass people?"
Mei Zhenyi was amused in her heart but pretended not to hear it, but Qu Zhenming on the side couldn't sit still, got up and whispered a few words to the king, and pulled him into the courtyard without knowing what to say. There was not much time, Wang Yuanwai came back, his face was pale with fright, and he didn't see the concubine's illness, so he walked up to Mei Zhenyi and couldn't stop apologizing, and invited him to the hospital in a panic.
In the courtyard, the king bent down and said: "I really don't know that you are the little marquis of the Mei family, I have been looking up for a long time, please don't mind what you offended just now." I heard that the little marquis has taken a fancy to my little concubine, so please stay and serve the tea, anyway, you have touched your hand, which is a little bit of Wang's heart. ”
I almost didn't say that Mei Zhenyi was stupid, why did this person want to give his little wife to himself in a blink of an eye? I had to put on a straight face and pretend to be an adult, and gave the king a lecture, saying that I was not a lustful person, how could I do such a thing at a young age, please don't insult Mei's style. Wang Yuanwai had no choice but to do it, and when he was leaving, he asked Zhang Guo what the little marquis meant? Zhang Guo smiled and said that the little marquis really didn't mean that, and there was no need to send people over quietly.
Qu Zhenming smiled and said: "I didn't say anything, I just told Wang Yuanwai -- do you know who the son who treated your wife is? It is the eldest son of Nan Luhou and the grandson of Liu Boshu, the richest man in Wuzhou. In the Wuzhou area, whether you are an official or a businessman, can you offend him? You still dare to say that kind of thing to your face, whether it is a curse or a blessing, you can do it yourself!"
Mei Zhenyi was angry and funny: "Then why did he give my little wife to me?"
Qu Zhenming covered his stomach and smiled: "Then how do I know, he thinks you have taken a fancy to it, otherwise the dignified little marquis will go to diagnose what pulse?...... I'm just kidding, I didn't expect that person to look like a powerful frame, why is he so bold, and he was scared like this in a blink of an eye...... Mei Gongzi, you touched your hand anyway, and you can see it clearly, if you are satisfied, take it. ”
Mei Zhenyi raised and kicked his ass: "I won't accept it, or you will accept it, haven't you married a daughter-in-law yet?" I'll go and talk to the old fairy and see how his old man cleans you up!" Qu Zhenming ran away with a smile, shouting: "Spare me, I don't dare to ask for it!"
The Qu brothers are not very old, and they happen to have the word "Zhen" in their names, and they are also friends with Mei Zhenyi, and they are playmates in private. The eldest brother Qu Zhensheng is stable and has the appearance of the eldest brother, and this younger brother Qu Zhenming is good at being naughty and mischievous, and the relationship with Mei Zhenyi is particularly good, and the reason is not complicated, this kid looks too much like Qu Zhengbo, and Mei Zhenyi feels close invisibly.
After the king returned to the city, he didn't know what to say to people, and it was rumored that "the little marquis of the Mei family was sitting in the hall of Qiyunguan, and he touched the hands of beauties by diagnosing the pulse." "All of a sudden, some of the little daughters-in-law in the city who thought they were beautiful didn't dare to go to Qiyunguan. There are also some families who have daughters to be in the boudoir, and they specially brought them to Qiyunguan to see a doctor, hoping that the little marquis can take a fancy to it and marry Jingwu Villa.
Not to mention, Mei Zhenyi really noticed a female patient who came to see a doctor, and she turned out to be He Xiangu's daughter!
He Xiangu? Make no mistake, one of the eight immortals, He Xiangu? Is it that He Xiangu is not clear, anyway, she is called He Xiangu, her husband's surname is He, she is a native of Yangxian Township under Miaomen Mountain, usually pretending to be a ghost and inviting Xiangu to come up, giving people guidance and eliminating disasters and curing diseases, and all the towns and villages call her He Xiangu, that is, what people often say later.
He Xiangu herself asked God to treat people, but her youngest daughter was frail and sick since she was a child, and she couldn't cure it, and she invited many doctors to see it and it didn't improve. That day, Mei Zhenyi was listening to Sun Simiao explain the theory of typhoid fever to two medicine children in the back hall of the West Courtyard, when someone suddenly greeted her: "Oh, isn't this He Xiangu? Why did you come here? Isn't the upper body of the fairy Gu able to cure all diseases?"
A woman's voice outside replied angrily: "It's not that I'm sick, it's my daughter and aunt, as the saying goes, those who can heal don't heal themselves, I just treat people too much, Lord Yama punished me, my daughter's health is always bad, and I can't see any disease, so I specially invited Sun Lao Immortal to take a look." ”
Mei Zhenyi was surprised when she heard the words "He Xiangu" and immediately slipped out. Traveling to this dynasty, he has met Zhang Guolao and Lu Chunyang, which is very different from the legend, and when he heard He Xiangu, he was naturally interested in going to have a look. Opened the curtain and came to the front hall, and saw He Xiangu at a glance, he almost didn't laugh out loud, and remembered a novel, that is, "Xiao Erhei Marriage" written by Zhao Shuli, and the woman in front of him was the ancient version of the three fairy aunts in the novel.
