Today, it will be passed on to you to purify the white lotus platform**, and in the coming day, you will cultivate the incarnation of the twelve-grade Maitreya Lotus platform, and lead all beings to the Pure Land. ”

What does this mean? At first glance, it may sound like a certain bodhisattva is jealous. Because "Lao Tzu's surname is Li". The status of the cultivators in the Tang Dynasty was high, but in the secular world, the status of which family was not as high as the Taoists, no matter which sect of cultivators, could not say what was wrong with the Taoist family in the world, because the Taoist ancestor Lao Dan was posthumously crowned as the emperor.

The Bodhisattva's words sound like jealousy, but when you think about it carefully, there is some truth between "the national weapon of the world" and "the Taoist transmission". It shouldn't have been confused. Although the words are reasonable, they are not without selfishness, because it is from the mouth of a bodhisattva, telling the Wu family that there will be people in the future who will be blessed by the emperor, and when tomorrow and people will be divided into people, and people will be the emperor. In the dream, it was said that Maitreya of the Pure Land Sect of Wu's Buddhism practiced Buddhism, and there was a hint that she would change the dynasty and usurp the throne in the future and respect the Dharma.

Wu was young at that time, and he didn't understand these words too well, but the cultivation ** in the Bodhisattva's dream was genuine. After waking up from a dream. The Wu clan will be suspicious, try to cultivate according to the law, and all kinds of realms will be confirmed one by one, but it seems that it will be in the previous life, and it will be recalled in this life. If you are born with great supernatural powers. After the age of thirty, he has already entered the realm of supernatural transformation, and when Gaozong is in his later years, the twelve lotus platforms are incarnated.

Today's Empress Dowager Wu. She has already cultivated at the top of the world, and unlike ordinary cultivators, except for the dream she had when she was a child, she has not experienced the ordination of her teacher, and her supernatural realm is not only supernatural, but also what is the specific mystery, except for herself, no one else knows.

When I was a child, I was puzzled, but when I grew up, I gradually understood what the unknown Bodhisattva in the dream said. But Wu was still puzzled. After Li Shimin's death, Wu Meiniang went to the White Horse Temple to become a nun, so that she had the opportunity to return to the court with Li Zhi secretly Chen Cang, and she was more sure that there was a Buddha fate in this life.

Wu once saw a statue of Maitreya in the White Horse Temple, with a graceful posture and beautiful eyebrows, and she was exactly the same as her own appearance! She was also secretly frightened - could it be that Maitreya Bodhisattva was teaching the Dharma in a dream, or that she was the incarnation of Maitreya in the world?

Maitreya Bodhisattva is the future Buddha who walks the world after Shakyamuni according to the Buddhists. Guiding sentient beings to ascend to the Pure Land. According to the popular understanding of the common people. Maitreya is the successor of the Buddha, according to the Buddha itself. After the death of the Buddha, there is no Buddha in the world, and the Buddha is in the Pure Land of the heavens, and if there is a Buddha in the world, it can only be Maitreya.

In this way, there is really a mystery, the Tang royal family worships the Taoist ancestor Lao Dan as the Xuanyuan Emperor, there is nothing comparable to the Buddhism, how to attach it can't be related to the Buddha and the ancestors of the Tang Dynasty. But if the Wu clan is the incarnation of the future Buddha and ascends to the throne in person, the situation is very different!

With the wisdom of the Wu clan and the mastery of power and scheming, how could she not have thought of this? She vaguely felt that having a god to help her was probably this purpose! Therefore, after taking power, she also worshipped Buddha in a big way.

Today, I heard Pei Yan come to denounce the emperor, and the Empress Wu moved her heart to abolish the Li, and the power was in her hands to meet the Buddha's decree, so she couldn't help but ascend the throne as a female emperor? And Pei Yan also had selfish intentions, if Li Zhe was abolished, then don't think about it, it must be Li Dan who has ascended the throne, and only one Li Dan is left among the four sons of the Empress Wu, and there is no way to abolish it. That Li Dan is not an assertive person, and when he is in power in the future, isn't the court all in his own hands?

Empress Wu and Pei Yan had their own ideas, so they set a plan to abolish the emperor, and the Queen Mother issued a secret decree and Pei Yan went to handle it. On the day of February 5 in the first year of the Emperor (684 AD), Cheng Wuting, the general of Yulin, led the army into the palace, and the Empress Wu came to the court to recruit hundreds of officials in the Qianyuan Palace. When the emperor heard the news of the court, he was about to take the throne, Pei Yan stopped in front of him and read out the decree of the Queen Mother, abolished the emperor as the king of Luling, and immediately ordered Cheng Wuting to help the king of Luling out of the palace.

Li Zhe was shocked and asked the Queen Mother: "What is my crime?" Empress Wu said: "As the Son of Heaven, he joked that he would give up the world to Wei Xuanzhen, and still said that he was not guilty?" Li Zhe was speechless, he could only look at Pei Yan angrily, and then he was put out.

This palace coup came too suddenly, and it was also very absurd, and what was even more absurd was that the empress dowager issued a decree to abolish the emperor and appoint him as the new emperor! There have been many similar coups since ancient times, but such unusual details have never been seen before. There was no emperor on the throne, and the queen mother asked the ministers again: "The emperor has lost his virtue and has been abolished, the country cannot be without a king for a day, who should the emperor belong?"

Isn't this nonsense? Among the sons of Empress Wu, only Li Dan, the king of Yu, is left, can he still appoint someone else? However, Mei Xiaolang listened to it below, and was secretly shocked in his heart--what nonsense is there on this occasion, if the queen mother really wants to establish the king of Yu, it was directly established in the decree just now, why wait until now to ask?

When Empress Wu asked, her phoenix eyes were sharp, and she seemed to be paying attention to the reactions of hundreds of officials, and many of the ministers bowed their heads and did not dare to speak, but as the prime minister, they could not help but speak. Mei Xiaolang came out of the class and recited: "Who will succeed the Son of Heaven." You should choose virtuous and talented, among the royal family, please ask the queen mother to take it yourself. ”

The superficial meaning of this sentence is that the queen mother wants to choose an emperor by herself, and what the minister said doesn't count, as for what other deep meanings there are, many people in the court didn't understand. As soon as his words fell, Pei Yan stepped forward and said in a loud voice: "The son of the former emperor and the queen of heaven." If you talk about virtue, you should establish the king of Yu!"

It is logical for him to say this, and at present, there is only King Yu to stand. When the ministers saw Pei Yan speak, and saw that he had just come forward to read out the edict of the abolition of the emperor, they thought that the Empress Wu had already signaled, and they all played: "Be the king of Yu!"

The next day, Li Jingye did not continue to go south, but stayed in Yangzhou and began to plot a "big event" with Tang Zhiqi, Du Qiuren, Luo Binwang, Wei Siwen and others.

This Zuo Supreme Venerable has been running around the world for so many years, and the tricks he plays have not changed. This princess, like Mei Zhenyi at the beginning, was also held hostage by Zuo Youxian and handed over to Li Jingye.

Li Xian, the second son of Empress Wu, was deposed as the crown prince more than three years ago and demoted to Bazhou, and wrote a poem in addition to sadness: "Under the stage of planting melon yellow, the ripe melon is separated, one pick makes the melon good, and then picks the melon thin, three picks are still available, and four picks hold the vines." "At first glance, the discerning person is alluding to the relationship between Empress Wu and her four sons.

When Empress Wu heard the news, he knew that Li Xian had resentment, and ordered the general Qiu Shenji to go to Bazhou to ask for the guilt, and Li Xian committed suicide because of this. Later, Empress Wu also had remorse, posthumously named the old lord of King Li Xianyong, and named Li Xian's daughter Princess Yuzhen. Princess Yuzhen lived in Bazhou, but she didn't want to, but she was held hostage by Zuo Youxian to Yangzhou, as a pawn of Li Jingye's rebellion.

Li Jingye and others plotted a rebellion in Yangzhou, and the imperial court had not yet noticed it, but within a few days, several special guests came to Jingwu Villa in Meijiadi, Wuzhou.
