Chapter Ninety-Nine: Happy Valentine's Day (Asking for a Monthly Pass)
Professor Troka's figure had just disappeared from their sight.
The sound of scattered footsteps immediately came from below the West Tower.
"Thank you, Veta. Immediately afterward, Matthew heard the voice of the Minister for Magic, Millicent Barnold: "The culprit who was able to catch all this so quickly is really worthy of Hogwarts......"
"That's what we're supposed to do. Hogwarts' Deputy Headmaster, Professor Rozier, said coldly.
"Vampires, oh, Merlin's beard......" Minister Barnold continued, "I hope this monster doesn't harm our wizarding world anymore!"
Their footsteps seemed to be getting closer.
"Professor?" Matthew asked softly, looking at Gellert Grindelwald.
Grindelwald made a gesture to him that he didn't have to worry.
......
With a bang, the door to the room opened.
The group descended the narrow spiral staircase and walked up.
Matthew first saw Professor Rozier, then Minister Millison Barnold (who had seen her several times in the newspapers), and two strong men of five big and three thick, who seemed to be wearing Auror attire.
"Professor Grindelwald!" shouted the Minister of Magic in surprise, and as she looked around at the broken window, she said in a daze, "Wait, where's the vampire?"
The vice principal's gaze stayed on Matthew for half a second, and she looked slightly confused.
"I think I have the same doubts as you, Millicent. Gellert Grindelwald spread his hands with some regret: "Mr. Wakefield and I arrived here half a minute before you...... And when we get here, this cottage is what you're seeing!"
"Unbelievable!" the minister looked a little devastated: "Damn vampires...... It actually escaped......"
She suddenly looked around like an ant on a hot pot, very irritably.
However, Millicent Barnold did not doubt that Grindelwald would have "self-theft".
Only one of them, a tall, balding, dark-skinned Auror, glanced at the Headmaster of Hogwarts out of the corner of his eye, but he quickly looked away.
The Auror bent down and took a closer look at the room.
He spoke suddenly, his deep and slow voice, quite magnetic: "Minister, I think the vampire Troka didn't escape too far!"
"You're right, Shackle. After hearing his voice, Millicent Barold finally calmed down a little: "Hurry up, you hurry up and go with Dlux to track him down...... Even if the vampire escapes, it will leave some trails along the way......"
"Rest assured, Minister. Grindelwald said gently, "Hogwarts will do its best to cooperate with your investigation." β
"Thank goodness for that, Headmaster Grindelwald!" said Minister Barnold's hands formed into a cross.
The two Aurors hurried down the spiral staircase again.
"I'm sorry, but I'm sorry. Minister Barnold glanced apologetically at the Hogwarts Headmaster, "Damn, I don't know how to deal with the reporters from the Daily Prophet right now, we're all laughing stock......"
The minister soon left in a hurry.
Rozier looked at Grindelwald, her voice still cold, "The curse on Mr. Weasley and Mr. Finreli is gone, and they have both awakened. β
"Also, we found the missing Mr. Longbottom and Miss Granger in an abandoned bathroom next to the Potions professor, and another Mr. Evans, who was very weak and looked to have been locked up for at least half a year; they were all taken to the school hospital!
"In addition, we also found a ghost that has been petrified for a long time......"
The Vice-Chancellor concluded her debriefing.
"You've done a good job, Veta!" Headmaster Grindelwald said, "The Hogwarts turmoil has finally calmed down. β
Then, he turned around, glanced at Matthew, and asked, "Mr. Wakefield, would you like to go to the school hospital together and see your two rescued friends?"
"Of course!" Matthew nodded vigorously.
......
The door to the school hospital was gently pushed open.
Grindelwald, Rozier, and Matthew walked in.
But I have to say that in the ward, there is chaos now.
On the one hand, because the number of "patients" is simply too much.
On the other hand, Madam Pomfrey, who was supposed to be in charge, was also lying on the hospital bed at this moment, still unconscious.
Professor Slughorn, the Potions teacher, temporarily took on the role of "school doctor" and ran around the ward.
"Matthew!" Neville Longbottom and Hermione Granger ran over.
Both men looked "unscathed".
Hermione looked like she wanted to put her arms around him, but she restrained herself in time...... This made Matthew breathe a sigh of relief.
Somewhat perfunctory, he shook Miss Granger's hand.
Neville bowed his head in shame, "I'm so sorry, Matthew...... It's all our fault, blame us for not listening to you in the first place...... Like a fool, go after that vampire......"
Matthew sighed and patted Neville's shoulder seriously: "It's okay, just remember today's lesson in the future, don't be so reckless." β
"It's my fault!" Hermione said in a small, mosquito-like voice, "I was the one who was trying to pull Neville and chase after him...... Sorry......"
"It's okay, it's all over!" Matthew said quickly.
A scream suddenly interrupted their conversation.
"It's Troca!" Ronald Weasley, who had regained consciousness, suddenly sprang up from his bed and yelled, "It's a vampire...... It sucked my blood...... It hurts......"
"Alright, kid, that was almost half a year ago!" Professor Slughorn said as he walked over, a little helpless.
The entire room burst into laughter.
......
Neville and Hermione returned to their hospital beds, and Professor Slughorn suggested that they might better drink another bottle of "Recovery Potion".
Matthew also saw the real Harry Evans, poor boy, who was now as skinny as skinny...... Hopefully he'll get better soon.
Behind him, Headmaster Grindelwald was talking to Headmaster Rozierβ
I saw Principal Grindelwald take out something wrapped in oiled paper and hand it to Principal Rozier:
"Vita, I have to say, that little curse you cast on the stone is quite effective, and it helped me a lot just now!"
Matthew suddenly felt that the piece of oil paper wrapped in the Philosopher's Stone was somewhat familiar......
"Alright, it's time for me to get out of here, and Hogwarts will continue with you!" Headmaster Grindelwald continued.
He turned around and saw Matthew's gaze.
So he walked over and waved at Matthew, "Then we'll see you next time, Mr. Wakefield!"
"Well, goodbye, Headmaster Grindelwald!" Matthew nodded.
Then something suddenly occurred to him.
So, he whispered:
"By the way, I wish you a happy Valentine's Day!"
