Chapter Seventy-Seven: Courage, Wisdom, and Shrewdness (Part I)

In the history of magic classroom, there seemed to be a brief silence between the three of them.

Neville Longbottom looked down at the ground as if there was something on the ground that attracted him, Hermione Granger sat quietly with her hands crossed on her lap, and Matthew Wakefield, who didn't seem to be able to get up to the top of his spirits.

"We've got to do something!" Eventually, Neville took the initiative.

"I don't understand. Matthew shrugged, "You mean?"

"This is the fourth attack (actually the third, but Neville mistakenly thought that Malfoy's attack was also a one)!" Neville said in a deep voice, "All things have shown that Hogwarts is not safe right now, if not very dangerous......"

“...... Professor Grindelwald's threats have become useless against the murderer who is hiding inside Hogwarts, and at least judging by Justin's disappearance, his behavior can almost be described as unscrupulous......!

“...... But the teachers of Hogwarts don't care about this at all, they will only hide the truth of the matter in vain until they can't hold it anymore!"

Neville impassionedly uttered a flurry of words:

"So we must save ourselves! We must use our own strength to find the culprit of this series of attacks and find him out......"

"Allow me to interrupt, Neville. Matthew whispered, "That culprit once knocked out Miss Maria Adams, Slytherin's seventh year, around Halloween...... Don't forget, the three of us are just three first-year students, and even if we find him, we won't be his opponents. ”

Matthew's words were earnest, and his voice sounded very convincing.

Neville frowned, apparently he hadn't figured it out yet.

"At least we can go to the teacher. Hermione on the side suddenly took over the conversation: "If we find the real murderer, we will go to the teacher as soon as possible...... At least I don't think Professor Flitwick will sit idly by!"

"Yes. Neville nodded hurriedly, "Neither will Professor Sinista." ”

Matthew's face suddenly turned grim: "Okay...... I think, Professor Slughorn...... Probably, maybe, probably won't sit back and watch!"

"That's fine!" Neville shook his fist triumphantly.

......

Matthew felt that he had to pour some cold water on these two friends.

"Even so. He whispered, "We don't have a clue, do we......"

"I certainly don't have a clue. Neville suddenly lowered his head, the expression on his face slightly ashamed: "Honestly, I'm not stupid, but my brain is not smart......"

Then, he looked at Hermione and Matthew expectantly, "But I know, Hermione, Matthew...... You're all smarter than I am, you must have a clue and a way, right? Help me!"

"......" Matthew didn't know how to respond.

But Hermione on the other side had already spoken: "Yes, I have long had the object of suspicion!"

"Who is it?" asked Neville excitedly.

"I spoke to Matthew once before, but he didn't take my word for ......" Hermione squinted at Matthew before continuing:

"Weasley was almost sucked up of blood when he was attacked, and Professor Flitwick told me that one of the unicorns in the Forbidden Forest was drained of blood on the second Saturday of school and on Halloween Eve...... So much so that the school finally decided to temporarily move all the unicorns from Hogwarts to Austria......"

“...... I've looked up the literature on vampires, and many vampires have a habit of sucking the blood of powerful magical animals, and the blood of unicorns itself has magical uses, and Weasley's appearance after being attacked is almost exactly the same as that of Muggles who encounter vampires......"

"You mean, there's a vampire in the castle at Hogwarts?" Neville shivered as he looked terrified.

"That's right!" Hermione nodded affirmatively, "Besides, it's our Transfiguration teacher, Professor Troka!"

"Professor Trolla?" Neville's expression looked slightly dull, "How could it be......"

"Do you remember what Professor Rozier introduced about vampires in the first Defence Against the Dark Arts class, which looked like Muggles and wizards, but was pale and couldn't touch the sun. Hermione spoke very quickly:

"And then you think about it, Professor Troka's usual behavior ......"

"I see!" Neville Longbottom suddenly realized, "No wonder I've always found Professor Troka weird......"

"Wait a minute, wait a minute!" Matthew said helplessly, "Have you forgotten that there is more than just a vampire that can suck blood...... What's more, there is no evidence that Professor Troka must be a vampire...... Take 10,000 steps back and say, even if he is really a vampire, there is no evidence that he must have done these things, right?"

Matthew paused, then continued to explain, "Professor Troka is a Hogwarts teacher, teacher!"

"Matthew, you're so naïve. Hermione looked at Matthew with a serious face, and said very politely: "You always think that all teachers are saints, but now all the evidence shows that Professor Troka is the most suspicious......

Suddenly being evaluated as "naïve", Matthew will be a little speechless for a while.

"When Weasley was attacked, he was the first to show up, that's what Neville told me. Hermione continued:

"He was said to have been one of the first teachers to show up in the Potions classroom, and at the Halloween dinner, when Professor Kettleburn broke into the auditorium, I paid special attention to the guest of honor, who was not in the auditorium at the time......"

"There's no doubt that Professor Troka is too suspicious!"

......

"Very well!" Neville Longbottom seemed to have made up his mind, "Then from today, we will quietly track Professor Troka until he reveals his flaws!"

Matthew felt that if he didn't say anything about it, things would go in a slightly worse direction.

"Actually—" Matthew cleared his throat and said with a serious face, "I think there's another person who is more suspicious than Professor Troka." ”

"Who is it?" asked Hermione and Neville in unison.

"Our Vice Chancellor, Professor Rozier!"
