Hehe, this is a cover interview given to me by the contracted publishing house book station. A link is attached at the end of the article.

"Smoke and Dust on the Immortal Road" tells the legend of a civilian boy who stepped on the fairy road in the red dust and pursued the way of heaven during the Western Jin Dynasty. The book is not dedicated to showing magic weapons, fairylands, and magic arts, but tries its best to build a lively and interesting plot, depict vivid and vivid characters, and pay attention to creating an inner rather than superficial sense of fairytale. That is, to interpret the lively and funny YY in dilution and peace, and to tell the strange and magnificent legend from the perspective of the common people.

About the author: Guan Pingchao, a literature lover, instrumental music lover, photography lover, is currently studying for a doctorate in communication overseas.

Today, bookmakers are fortunate to have Guan Pingchao, the author of "Smoke and Dust on the Fairy Road", to accept our exclusive interview. What impressed me the most from the interview was the author's knowledge and humility. Next, follow me to have a zero-distance interview with Guan Pingchao.

Bookke: Judging by your introduction, it seems that you are not from a liberal arts major, right?

Guan Pingchao: Well, I have taken Chinese before high school (Khan ~~ no one who has ever taken Chinese in high school raised his hand ^_^).

Bookke: Speaking of your creation, what books do you think have had the greatest impact on your literary creation?

Guan Pingchao: Jin Yong's works, Liao Zhai Zhiwei, as well as Ming and Qing Dynasty prose, and even some knowledge in the professional field of science and engineering.

Reporter: Oh, the influence of knowledge in the field of engineering, and what is the outstanding influence of this in your works?

Guan Pingchao: For example, by combining the theory of entropy with the chaos in Lao Zhuang's philosophy, he puts forward a fairly self-justifying explanation for Taoist cultivation to become immortals and to live forever.

Booker reporter: There are a lot of words written in the novel, although the description of oriental fantasy is fascinating, but it always feels too bland at first, without a lot of tension and passion of fantasy novels, may I ask the author to still have this style in the back of the work? or does it add tension and suspense in the blandness?

Guan Pingchao: In fact, blandness is not a deliberate pursuit, but the part of the novel that has been completed so far, compared to the overall concept, it can only be regarded as just beginning, and the protagonist's journey of cultivation and tempering has just begun. The previous few volumes can be regarded as foreshadowing and gaining momentum. From the sixth volume onwards, there will be intense plots. Of course, the overall rhythm will still maintain a moderate level of relaxation. The style of each part of the book, whether it is fresh, funny, or beautiful, is actually according to the needs of the plot. In the immortal mountain, it is ethereal, and in the earthly world, it is alive.

Booker reporter: In "Smoke and Dust on the Fairy Road", how many wives are you going to arrange for the protagonist Zhang Xingyan? I found that many people like Princess Ju Ying, how will the author let the protagonist and Ju Ying develop? Will there be a passion play between men and women?

Guan Pingchao: Hehe, on the issue of marriage, we will not deliberately arrange it, and we will not deliberately stipulate who must be with whom, and who must not associate with whom. Everything went naturally, and in the case of polygamy at the time, let the growth process of Xingyan choose for himself. There will be male and female passion plays, but the expression will be careful to match the overall style of the novel. It won't be so concise as "...... overnight", and it won't be so wordy. Will pursue a classical and romantic atmosphere and feelings.

Bookke: In other words, you can't control the development of Xingyan anymore, and you are completely integrated into the book?

Guan Pingchao: Well, it can be said that as the story unfolds, what should be done next is related to his previous experience, and there will be no stiff turns. The most typical example, Qiong Wei, who has a relatively heavy role in the current scene, originally I just wanted to pass it off, but when I really wrote there, I found that it was no longer under my control, and I said that I must meet, intersect, know her, and even love her in the future - I still don't know, it depends on their own development.

Booker reporter: I have a very deep impression that the characters in it are portrayed very deeply, and the heroine is also out of the image of the vase, which is very impressive, I don't know how you created and grasped the character of the character?

Guan Pingchao: First of all, thank you for such an evaluation! The depiction of female characters is indeed not easy. Because in my opinion, there are only a few kinds of beautiful and lovely personalities of women in the world, and if you don't put a little effort into it, you will have the ridicule of the vase, or you can always find the same shadow in other works. Here's how I deal with it: first summarize the main personality of the heroine, and then grasp this personality to express it in the storyline. This kind of expression is not necessarily the thrilling kind of life and death, a look, an action, and a word can take on the task of shaping the heroine. My usual way of writing is: Imagine how such a girl would behave in front of you.

Bookke: So, among all the characters in this work, who do you feel you are most satisfied with portraying?

Guan Pingchao: At present, it seems that Qiong Wei. Of course, each protagonist is still relatively satisfied, but judging by the feedback, it seems that Qiong Wei is the most popular.

Booker reporter: Another very important factor that attracts me to Xianlu Yanchen is that in addition to the good-looking plot, there is a faint ancient rhyme between the names of each chapter and each paragraph of Xianlu Yanchen, which makes you feel comfortable to read, and I believe that your literary foundation must be very deep. As a junior writer, I would like to ask Brother Guan, which is more important to read, accumulate or practice writing?

Guan Pingchao: I think it's all important. However, such an answer does not seem to have much reference meaning. If you have to compare which is more important, I personally think that reading accumulation is the most important. Thick accumulation can thin hair. Practicing pen can only improve proficiency, but not basic knowledge. Therefore, in the past, when evaluating a person's level of education, they often said how much ink they had in their stomachs, not how many thousand words they had written.

Bookke: Speaking of reading, do you usually read with a high proportion of online literature? After joining the interactive creation of the Internet, what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of online creation compared with traditional creation in the past?

Guan Pingchao: I always feel that it is not easy to answer the proportion of online literature directly. To be precise, when you are in leisure, you read online novels, and when you need to accumulate and improve, you can read classic books that are not online carriers. In the past, in order to relax, the starting point and the Phantom Sword Book League were often visited, and one of the starting points for writing this fairy road was that after reading the Overlord Book for many years, it was time to repay the society. But after I started writing, I basically stopped reading online literature. This seems to be a bit of a "flower girl planting bamboo leaves". Regarding the advantages and disadvantages of online creation, I think there are several advantages:

1. The entry threshold is lowered: as long as you can access the Internet, you can go to the Internet to publish your masterpieces.

2. Wide readership and strong interactivity: Publishing through the Internet can make it possible for Chinese people all over the world to see your work, and receive their feedback in time after each new chapter, so that you can always correct the deviations in your creation.

3. Richer sources: Since it is a network creation, it must be able to find the information you need on the Internet, and you can find the information you need through the search tool, and the Internet search has its own advantages: if you only need a small entry in a large piece of information, you don't have to work hard to find it, and you can quickly get it by searching directly. Of course, there are many materials that are not available on the Internet, so you still need to visit bookstalls and enter the library.

Disadvantages: It is precisely because the threshold is lowered that many friends are in a hurry to start online creation before they have completed the accumulation of knowledge and experience. It is conceivable that this will not only waste study time, but may also be hit by bad comments from online readers. In addition, due to the impetuous atmosphere on the Internet and the popularity of fast food, many friends who are engaged in online creation are not very patient to write. Specifically expressed in the work, it is not plump enough, often rushing to advance the plot, ignoring the character creation and detailed description, and finally ending up with a thousand people, becoming an outline-style fast food work.

Bookke: It is inevitable that there will be praise and criticism in the evaluation of works on the Internet, I don't know how my brother views the criticism of himself (that is, the "bad criticism attack" you just said")?

Guan Pingchao: Well, first of all, if you decide to come out and "mix" on the Internet, you must be mentally prepared to face the worst and most malicious criticism, and be ready to "pour blood" on people. If you don't have strong nerves, your writing state will fluctuate often, and even if your work doesn't have TJ, your inner level will actually be greatly reduced. What I just said was a purely malicious, unconstructive comment attack. For those who sincerely make suggestions, even if they are critical, they should accept them with an open mind, review whether there are such deficiencies in their works, and correct them if they have them, and encourage them if they don't. Also, try to be serious about this kind of positive criticism. Because even on a virtual network, it is important to maintain a good personal image.

Bookke: Can you tell us about your future creative plans?

Guan Pingchao: Don't be in a hurry or impatient, write down the smoke and dust of the fairy road seriously. (Khan ~ or Mi revealed, everyone is patiently looking forward to the author's big future works, I believe it will be more exciting)

Bookke: If your works are published in mainland China in the future, you will definitely feel the impact of piracy, do you want to say anything to pirates here?

Guan Pingchao: Speechless. Because it is useless to say anything to the current mainland book pirates. I just want to say one thing to the people's government: We should put an end to the piracy of cultural works by booksellers and compatriots at an early date, and protect the healthy development of the national cultural industry.

Bookke: Thank you for accepting the interview with Xinchen Booker this time and supporting Bookke. Finally, do you want to say a few words to the book friends of "Fairy Road" to draw a successful end to this interview.

Guan Pingchao: Thank you Xinchen Scholar for giving me this opportunity to show some of my thoughts. I want to say to the book friends of "Xianlu": Being able to like Xianlu shows that you have an honest and kind heart like Zhang Xingyan. :) look forward to your ability to accompany Xingyan and Guan Pingchao to the end of the fairy road together. Thank you very much!
