Chapter Ninety-Three: Emperor Yu Governs, Tang Yao Succeeds to the Throne

However, it was said that Gao Xin succeeded as the co-leader of the human race, and he was the emperor.

Legend has it that this emperor, that is, Gao Xin was born with a lot of aura, and as soon as he was born, he called out his name. Gao Xingguang has given grace to everyone, but not to himself. He is deaf and clear-sighted, can understand the situation in the distance, and can see into the subtle facts. He obeyed the will of Heaven and understood the needs of his people. Virtuous and majestic, gentle and trustworthy, self-cultivation, the world is submissive. He collects the fruits of the land and uses them sparingly, He cares for and educates all the peoples, and teaches them all kinds of useful things, He calculates the movement of the moon to determine the solar terms of the year, and respectfully welcomes the coming and going of the moon, and he knows the ghosts and spirits and serves them carefully. He was dignified and moral. He acted in due course and took it like a man.

The emperor ruled the people, as impartial as the rain watered the farmland, all over the world, wherever the moon shines, where the wind and rain go, no one is disobedient. The history books praise: "The ancestor is from Xuanyuan, the descendant of Xuanyuan, and his name is spoken." Wood rule the world. Funing heaven and earth, the holy spiritual guest, teaching the four seas, bright and clear. ”

It is worth mentioning that several of the emperor's sons are also famous in Chinese history.

Legend has it that the emperor had four concubines, and the eldest concubine was called Jiang Yuan, who was the daughter of Tai Guojun. Legend has it that when Jiang Yuan was in his mother's house, he was pregnant because he went out to step on the footprints of giants, and because he had no husband and gave birth to children, he abandoned the child three times in the deep alleys, barren forests and cold ice, and was protected by cattle, sheep, tigers, leopards and birds, so he was named "abandoned", and later grew up like agronomy, taught people to plant grains, and was respected as Houji, and became the ancestor of the Zhou nation.

The second concubine, Jian Di, is the daughter of Yousong Guojun. Legend has it that Jian Di and his sister-in-law Jianfu went to Xuanchi Hot Spring to bathe at the spring equinox, and a swallow flew by, leaving an egg, which was swallowed by Jian Di, and then became pregnant and gave birth to a contract, which is the ancestor of the Shang family.

The third concubine Qingdu, according to legend, was the daughter of the emperor, born in the field of Douwei, and was adopted by Chen Feng's woman, and after Chen Feng's death, she was adopted by Yin Changru. Later Qingdu followed his adoptive father Yin Changru to Puyang. Because Qingdu's head is always covered with a yellow cloud, it is considered a strange girl, and the emperor's mother heard it, and persuaded the emperor to accept it as a concubine, and then gave birth to Yao.

The fourth concubine Changyi, smart and beautiful, with long hair and hanging feet, a husband and a daughter are called emperors, and a son is called Zhi. Zhi and Yao both inherited the throne and became emperors. It can be seen that Xuanyuan's vein has spread out, and since Xuanyuan has gone through the Five Emperors, Shang and Zhou dynasties, his blood descendants have controlled the world, so many people in later generations respected Xuanyuan as the ancestor of Yan and Huang.

During the reign of Emperor Yu, he was deeply influenced by Yunxiao, and Yunxiao's surname was mild, so when Emperor Yu governed the human race, he widely implemented benevolent government, not like Xuanyuan and Xuanyuan in general. If the greatest contribution of Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor and Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor is to unify the human race and initially establish the concept of a family and country for the human race, then the greatest achievement of Emperor Yu is to restore the happy and healthy life of worry-free food and clothing in the Shennong era. Emperor Yu lived with the people internally and stopped fighting abroad, and many barbarian tribes were inspired by him to accept peace, and the human race entered an era of calm and vigorous development.

In view of Guangchengzi's previous failure to assist the human emperor, Emperor Yu can be said to be respectful of the immortals of the exposition of the sect, and even has no good impression of the exposition itself. Moreover, he himself is a disciple of the Interception Sect, and although the Interception and Interpretation of the Second Sect is not incompatible now, it is not much better. Therefore, Emperor Yu was even less fond of exposition.

As a result, Emperor Yu vigorously preached the doctrine of interception, and at the same time suppressed the exposition of religion to a certain extent. Although the exposition of the religion has been propagated by the emperor for two generations, the prestige of the human race is very small, and now it has been suppressed by the emperor, and the prestige that the exposition has accumulated with great difficulty has disappeared in an instant.

After the Primordial Heavenly Venerable learned about this, he was furious in his heart, but now he had nothing to do, so he could only endure it and wait for the opportunity.

And Yunxiao saw that the emperor was benevolent and virtuous, and many major matters could be handled by himself, so he no longer cared about him, looked for a rare place, and said that cultivation was not mentioned.

Suddenly, Yunxiao received a message from Tongtian and ordered her to continue to assist the next emperor. Yunxiao got the sound of the sky and was stunned for a moment. How noble the position of the teacher of the five emperors is, and the merits are immeasurable. Now the teacher actually handed over the two statues to himself, which made Yunxiao's heart very moved. After that, Yunxiao cleaned up his mood and began to look for the next emperor again.

Yunxiao didn't know anything about the next emperor, so he could only slowly travel through various tribes to find out. As soon as he said, Yunxiao traveled to the Tang Dynasty and learned that there was a great virtuous man here, who was deeply loved by the local people. When Yunxiao saw this, he made a silent calculation and found that this Yao was the next emperor. At that moment, Yunxiao was overjoyed in his heart, and after explaining his identity, he accepted Yao as a disciple and taught him carefully.

And so on for another few decades. At this time, the emperor was very old, and he had reigned for 70 years. If there is great rule today, the people live and work in peace and contentment, and the emperor is also full of merits, and then he lives in seclusion in Huoyun Cave. At the time of his departure, a great merit fell from heaven, and the merit was far greater than the last time the emperor left him, which also made the exposition even more embarrassing.

Although the greatest merit of the Emperor of the People is Xuanyuan, and Xuanyuan is a disciple of his own sect, if it were not for the fact that Xuanyuan's preaching was too difficult, how could the merit be so huge! Moreover, this huge merit is not unique to the exposition. In this way, it is even more difficult to explain the teachings.

However, Emperor Yu also has selfish motives. He loved Zhi, the son of his fourth concubine Changyi, so he passed on to Zhizhi after his abdication.

Zhizhi is talented and has a tyrannical surname, has governed the world for nine years, is not good at government, and the people's grievances are boiling. And because there is no one behind him, his prestige is not enough to deter all forces in the clan. So, under pressure from all sides, after consulting with everyone, Zhi abdicated to make way for Xian and Yunxiao's disciple Yao, and this Yao is also Zhi's younger brother.

Yao, surnamed Yiqi, named Fangxun. At the age of fifteen, he was named the Marquis of Tang, and he shared weal and woe with the people in the Tang land, developed agriculture, properly handled all kinds of government affairs, and governed the Tang land in an orderly manner, which was not only supported by the people, but also praised by many tribal leaders. Fang Xun is the emperor's throne, the emperor's name Yao, because the first seal in the Tang Dynasty, that is, the Tang Dynasty Code, which is the first dynasty code name in the history of our country, and later generations call it Tang Yao.

According to legend, Emperor Yao is as virtuous as the sky and wise as a god. Approach Him as warm as the sun, and look up at Him as clouds covering the earth. He is rich but not proud, noble but not indulgent. He wore a yellow hat and black clothes, and a scarlet chariot drove a white horse. He was able to honor the virtuous and make nine generations of his kindred love each other. And when the people of the same clan had made peace, they went to inspect the officials. The achievements of the hundred officials are obvious, and all the princes and states can live in harmony.

After Tang Yao ascended the throne, he restored his brother to Tang as the Marquis of Tang. He learned from his brother's mistakes, and with the support of his teacher Yunxiao, he quickly stabilized the human race.

Tang Yao often went deep into the poor countryside, went to the mountains and wilderness to investigate and visit, asked the talents, inspected the political gains and losses, selected the talents, lest the talents be buried, and there were nine heroes in the history of Zaiyao, or eleven people, which can be described as full of talents. With the assistance of so many talents, the human race prospered under Yao's rule.

In the early days of Tang Yao's reign, the astronomical calendar was still very imperfect, and the people often delayed the agricultural time, so Yao ordered the Xi and He clans to follow the will of the heavens, according to the appearance of the moon and the position of the stars, to formulate a calendar, and carefully teach the people the festivals for production.

In addition, he ordered Xi Zhong to live in Yuyi, a place called Yanggu, to respectfully greet Yu Kui, and arrange the spring cultivation step by step. The spring equinox is said to be as long as the day is as long as the night, and the stars of the Seven Nakshatras appear due south at dusk, so as to determine the time of mid-spring. At this time, the people scattered their work, and the birds and beasts gave birth.

He also ordered Uncle Xi to live in Nanjiao, arrange the summer farm work step by step, and do it carefully. On the summer solstice, the day is the longest, and the heart of the seven nights of the dragon (also known as the fire) appears due south at the beginning of dusk, according to which the time of midsummer is determined. At this time, the people are on high places, and the birds and beasts are sparsely feathered.

He also commanded Kazuna, to dwell in the western soil, which is called the valley, to respectfully send the sun down, and to arrange the autumn harvest in a step-by-step manner. The autumn equinox is said to be as long as the night, and the void in the Xuanwu Seven Houses appears due south at the beginning of dusk, so as to determine the time of mid-autumn. At this time, the people moved to the flat land, and the birds and beasts regenerated new hair.

He also ordered Uncle He to live in the north, which is called Youdu, and carefully arrange the collection in winter. The winter solstice is said to be the shortest day, and the Pleiades of the Seven Houses of the White Tiger appear due south at dusk, so as to determine the time of midwinter. At this time, the people went into the house to keep warm, and the birds and beasts were covered with fine hair.

The Xi and He tribes were in charge of astronomy, and according to the celestial phenomena such as the movement of the moon and stars and natural phenology, they deduced the time and determined the four seasons, and took the moon cycle as one month, the sun cycle as one year, and the year as 366 days. This is the earliest recorded calendar in our country, which laid the foundation of our lunar calendar;

There are 366 days in a year, and the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter are corrected by placing leap months. Di Yao also sincerely admonished the hundred officials to abide by their duties and handle everything properly. Under such governance, the human race once again ushered in a wave of rapid development.
