Taoist friends also know that the more difficult the journey to the west, the more merit will be obtained in the future. Poor Dao has good intentions, and Taoist friends don't appreciate it, so why do you still come to question Poor Dao, it's really a bit unreasonable. He shook his head pretending to be sad.

At that moment, I saw that the Holy Mother of Turtle Spirit had a solemn face, and said: "There are too many Buddhist protégés in Daoyou Poor Dao, and the sect of Daoyou is still recruiting protégés, so it is intolerable to be so poor." Daoist friends also know that the momentum of my sect interception is enough to soar to the sky, even if the three sects such as Er are destroyed, it is not impossible, but why hasn't my sect done this?

When Shakyamuni Buddha heard this, he was slightly stunned, and then he lowered his head and thought about it.

Seeing this, the Holy Mother of the Turtle Spirit continued: "A disrespectful word, with the strength of my sect, even if the three sects of Daoyou are united, our sect will have victory and control. But my sect didn't do this, and my teacher, the Tongtian Sect Master, didn't put it like this. Why? Under the way of heaven, there is no one religion that exists alone. Moreover, my teacher Tongtian Sect Master is benevolent, and he knows that a lone branch is not spring, but a hundred flowers blooming is spring, so he did not take action. And among the many junior brothers and sisters of the poor Dao, there are also many people who are dissatisfied with the people of the three sects of Taoism, but we still endured it and did not have any radical acts. Just like in the old days, when the Jiuqu Yellow River Formation was fought, didn't the three junior sisters of Yunxiao, Bixiao, and Qiongxiao let Guangchengzi and the others go?

The words of Our Lady of the Turtle Spirit are true, with the current trend of intercepting the religion, even if the three religions of people, expoundation, and Buddhism are destroyed, it is not impossible, but the interception of the sect did not do this, because it was afraid of destroying the general trend of the Heavenly Dao. In the previous life, the sect was destroyed by the exposition of the religion and the union of the human religion and Buddhism, but what happened to the exposition of the religion in the end? It is not a mess, and even if the sect is intercepted, it is not much worse than the sect, and it is the human religion and Buddhism that will benefit in the end. At the time of the catastrophe of the end of the Dharma, both human religion and Buddhism flourished, but the exposition and interception of religion did not even have a name.

Such an ending is not unrelated to the exposition of the teachings, the destruction of the lost and the interception of the teachings, and the destruction of the general trend of the Heavenly Dao. In this case, why do Daoists want to kill me next time and ruin my Buddhist luck? My Buddhism has never done anything to destroy the balance of heaven and Dao. As a matter of fact, Shakyamuni Buddha still has a sentence in his heart that has not yet come out, that is, why does the sect of sectarianism have to compete with other Buddhism everywhere? It stands to reason that the sect is located in the east, and the biggest enemy should be the religion of people and the teachings of the people, but the interception of religion is not right with Buddhism everywhere, and this makes Shakyamuni Buddha have a headache.

Our Lady of the Turtle Spirit listened to the words of Shakyamuni Buddha, thought for a while, and said, "The poor Tao understands the meaning of Taoist friends. Now that it has come to this point, there is nothing to hide from the poor road. This impact on the Buddhism of Taoist friends is not only for my own teaching, but also for people to teach and explain. ”

Hearing this, Shakyamuni Buddha frowned and asked, "What do you mean by this?"

The Holy Mother of the Turtle Spirit said with a smile: "My sect is now the number one sect in the flood wilderness, and even if it stagnates for a thousand years with this strength, I am afraid that the three sects will not be able to catch up." Hehe, the poor road is not to show off, you must know that this is both an advantage and a responsibility. Since I intercept the sect as the first major religion of the flood famine, I naturally want to contribute to the balance of the flood and famine. There are too many disciples of Daoist Buddhism, even if the number of our three sects combined is less than 10% of Buddhism, wouldn't this spoil the balance of the four religions?"

Hearing this, Shakyamuni Buddha glanced at the Turtle Spirit Mother suspiciously, and said: "Taoist friends also know that although I have many Buddhist protégés, all of them are not highly cultivated, and it is difficult to compare with the three religions of the East, and the West is barren and has few spiritual treasures, which is not comparable. If there are not many protégés, then there is nothing to be good at?

Hearing this, the Holy Mother of Turtle Spirit flashed in her eyes, and said lightly: "Soon, Daoist friends will feel that the protégé is much more important than the spirit treasure. After a pause, he continued: "Poor Dao give Daoist friends a bottom line, before the next calamity comes, Daoist Buddhist protégés must not cross 10,000 numbers, if this number is passed, then Daoist friends don't blame Poor Dao for being ruthless." Each for his own master, not to refrain from doing it. Of course, if there is a lot of increase in the number of people and protégés of the two sects, then the poor Dao will also depend on the situation, and it will not make it difficult for Taoist friends. ”

Our Lady of Turtle Spirit said that the protégé is more important than the spirit treasure, but it is not a lie. In the past, the Holy Mother of the Turtle Spirit was of great importance to the protégés of the Holy Mother, and when the universe was dominated in the future, countless protégés would definitely be needed, and the protégés would naturally be much more precious than the spiritual treasure. In the end, the desolate universe is extremely vast, and there are many good spiritual treasures, but if there are not many protégés and cannot be explored, then it is not only spiritual treasures, even luck will be reduced.

Therefore, the Holy Mother of the Turtle Spirit dared to assert that the protégé was more important than the spirit treasure. It is precisely because of this that Our Lady of the Turtle Spirit wants to control the number of Buddhists and not let the sect fall too far behind.

Listening to the words of Our Lady of the Turtle Spirit, Shakyamuni Buddha looked at her deeply, and then said: "Since the Taoist friend is like this, the poor monk has nothing to say, and my Buddhism is to obey." Before the next eon, my Buddhist protégé will never cross 10,000 people. ”

Seeing that Shakyamuni Buddha agreed, Our Lady of the Turtle Spirit was overjoyed, and then sighed: "Alas, the Taoist friend is noble, and the poor Taoist is admired." In fact, the poor way is also not to refrain from doing it, if the Buddhism of other Taoist friends can become the first major religion of the flood famine, then you will naturally understand the painstaking nature of the poor way. After that, Our Lady of the Turtle Spirit glanced at Shakyamuni Buddha in a complicated way, but she felt a little guilty in her heart.

Although what Our Lady of the Turtle Spirit said before was true, and there was no falsehood, Our Lady of the Turtle Spirit still added a misleading meaning to it. Now seeing that Shakyamuni Buddha agreed without hesitation, I felt a little uncomfortable in my heart, but I felt a little guilty.

After that, he glanced at the Turtle Spirit Holy Mother again, and said: "Since this is the case, then this matter will not be investigated, and I hope that Daoist friends will release Tang Sanzang's master and apprentice, and I will go back to the West after this." ”

Shakyamuni Buddha smiled slightly, then turned to Sun Wukong beside Guanyin Bodhisattva, and said: "Wukong must have understood the matter of learning scriptures these days. Oh, peace of mind, after this time, there will be no more catastrophes, and it won't be long before we will meet in Elysium. ”
