The internal cultivation is divided into seven levels: foundation building, Bigu, Jindan, Yuanying, distraction, crossing, and Mahayana, while the corresponding levels of external cultivation are building the body, refining the muscles, forging the bones, casting the heart, forming the spirit, shaping the body, and cultivating the spirit. Each level is divided into three stages: front, middle and back. The division between true cultivators and demon cultivators is basically the same.

The cultivation levels of the immortal realm and the demon realm from low to high are: Earth Immortal (Earth Demon), Heavenly Immortal (Heavenly Demon), Luo Tianshang Immortal (Demon General), Da Luo Jinxian (Demon King), Nine Heavens Xuanxian (Demon Emperor), Immortal Jun (Demon Monarch), Immortal Emperor (Demon Emperor), each level is divided into three stages: front, middle and back.

The level of cultivation in the divine realm is divided into lower-grade gods, middle-grade gods, high-grade gods, lower gods, middle gods, upper gods, god kings, and saints from low to high.
