Chapter 69: Enlightenment of the Dharma

During this period of practice in Jingkong Temple, Gu Ziyao also learned that Buddhism also has something in common with Taoist concepts, such as "seven emotions and six desires"!

"Joy, anger, sorrow, fear, love, evil, and desire are all learned. The pen "Fun" Pavilion www.biquge.info "It can be seen that love is the emotional expression or psychological activity of joy, anger and sorrow, and desire is one of the seven emotions. It can be seen that the "seven feelings" of Buddhism are similar to the "seven feelings" of Taoism, referring to the seven emotions of "joy, anger, worry, fear, love, hatred, and desire", and the desire is also placed at the end of the seven emotions. The Buddhism's "Theory of Great Wisdom" is far from this, believing that the six desires refer to ****, the desire for appearance, the desire for prestige, the desire for speech, the desire for slippery, and the desire for human thought, basically positioning the "six desires" in the six desires of the laity for the opposite sex, which is what people in the mortal world often say "****". Lust and lust seem to have been unified. That is to say, love and desire cannot be separated, where does no love come from? Where does no desire come from? No love, no desire, the six roots are pure, the four are empty, there is no eating the fireworks of the world, there is no love for children, there is no joy and sorrow, such a person can be the ultimate state of Buddhism after cultivation.

Seven emotions and six desires are the basic physiological requirements and psychological dynamics of the human world, the foundation of human nature, the nature that everyone has, and the most basic tone of human life. But people are not the same, and the performance of seven emotions and six desires is varied, as the so-called seven emotions and six desires everyone has, and they are very different. Because of this, how to express people's seven emotions and six desires has become an inexhaustible source and topic of discussion in the Buddha realm and the Taoist realm. However, after all, love is not the same as desire, and in the literal concept, love and desire are not exactly the same thing. Affection mainly refers to the expression of human emotions and belongs to the category of human psychological activities, while desire mainly refers to the needs of human survival and enjoyment, and belongs to the category of physiological activities. There is a proverb that says: love is too painful and sad, and desire is too strong and hurts the body, indicating that love and desire belong to two closely related but different fields of "heart" and "body" respectively. Secondly, affection and desire interact and complement each other, and affection can give birth to desire, and desire can also produce affection; the satisfaction of desire requires emotional input, and the pleasure of affection also depends on the satisfaction of desire. But if you have to sit down and prioritize lust and desire, you might as well start a debate, then the pros and cons can probably be uplifted, and the discussion will be as lively and interesting as the chicken or the egg. But looking at the young men and women in love in the mortal world, although they are immersive, it is definitely difficult to tell what the relationship between love and desire is. Including those who dance and write ink if they are ruthless and desireless, I am afraid that they will not be able to achieve their literary and artistic attainments, but if you want to find the answer from literary and artistic works, it may be even more confusing, clouds and fog barriers, and confusion.

Buddhism talks about the "four emptiness", which is based on the inherent ideas of India and then deepened and Buddhized, because the four elements of earth, water, fire and wind are physical in the universe, for example, mountains and land belong to the earth, oceans and rivers belong to the water, the sun is hot and the fire is great, and the space airflow belongs to the wind. For example, if they are turned into human physiology, for example, hair, bones, and flesh belong to the earth, blood secretion belongs to water, body temperature belongs to fire, and breathing belongs to wind; In terms of the four physical properties, hardness belongs to the earth, moisture belongs to water, warmth belongs to fire, and flow belongs to wind. However, no matter how one analyzes the Four Greats, the Four Majors ultimately belong to the material realm and cannot be summarized in the spiritual realm. Therefore, materialists regard the four as the root of the universe, and Buddhism does not agree with this statement.

Theravada Buddhism only emptiness of the self and not the Dharma, although it looks at the empty image of things, still thinks that the four very subtle qualities - the "Dharma" are real. However, Theravada Buddhism is not materialism but pluralism, because the emptiness of Buddhism is not only the emptiness of the four aggregates, but the emptiness of the five aggregates, and the four aggregates are only one of the five aggregates. What are the five aggregates? That is, the appearance, receiving, thinking, acting, and knowing, the first one belongs to the material realm, the last four belong to the spiritual realm, and the four major aggregates are the color aggregates. The five aggregates are the laws of life and death within the Three Realms, and only by emptying the five aggregates can we go beyond the life and death of the Three Realms. At the same time, because of the introduction of the five aggregates, it proves that Buddhism does not only talk about the emptiness of the four aggregates, but further talks about the emptiness of the five aggregates. It is especially important that the focus of Buddhism is not on the four aggregates, but on the aggregates of cognition, and the aggregates of receiving, thinking, and acting are also the foils of cognition, which are used to show the breadth and greatness of the functions of the spiritual world. So, Buddhism is not only not a materialist, but an intellectual......

Gu Ziyao's cultivation during the fusion period was just the right time to integrate the Buddhist Dharma he had learned and heard into his consciousness. The stream of consciousness of the Buddha, Dao, and Demon realms in the divine consciousness is perfect and flawless. Make your divine consciousness more refined!

In the past six months, Gu Ziyao seems to have changed as a person, becoming calm, compassionate, and no longer easily turbulent in her heart......

The winter snow is flying, and in the blink of an eye, the weather is almost midwinter! Gu Ziyao stirred the charcoal brazier in the meditation room, and the air exhaled from his mouth turned into a white mist and spread in front of him...... He thought about his past suffering, his family and friends, and someone in the distance......

Master Huineng pushed open the door and walked in, and said with a smile: "I haven't seen you go to the meditation hall to listen to the scriptures today, and I can't think of a person hiding in the room to secretly keep warm......, this is not too kind!

Gu Ziyao said: "Master, don't make fun of me...... I just can't calm down in my heart today, I want to ......" At this point, Gu Ziyao choked back again.

Hui Neng laughed heartily: "You want to go out for a walk and look at the places you are thinking about, right?"

Gu Ziyao secretly admired Hui Neng's observation of words and expressions! "I didn't expect that before I could say anything about it, the master would be able to break one or two! Gu Mou really admired ......"

Huineng still had that kind smile and said, "You may have forgotten that I am also a monk who likes to wander around! The first time we met was when I had just returned to the monastery when I was outside! Since I entered the monastery since I was a child, I have been very resistant to the practice of reading scriptures and books to the death, and not knowing the principles of the world. Therefore, it is better to like to travel around and see all things in this world than to sit in a room and imagine all kinds of things in this world. And the first time I saw you, it was with the flowery Miss Condensation Valley who fell into trouble here, presumably your kid is the so-called Yanfu is not shallow, according to my calculations, you may not only have this romantic debt outside, and in the days to come, you may encounter fragrant things, there will be no less, numerically speaking: you are destined to bring peach blossoms......"
