According to the Taoist scriptures, the prince of the East is also known as Qingtongjun, Dongfang Zhu, and Qingti Emperor, and is honored as "Donghua Zifu Shaoyang Emperor". His birthday is the sixth day of the second lunar month.

There is also a bizarre saying: the Eastern Prince, that is, the Jade Emperor, was originally the doorman of Hongjun Daoren, the teacher of the Yuan Shi Tianzun, (I don't know where it came from).

About the evolution of the Eastern Princes to the Jade Emperor.

According to the record of "The Complete Biography of Liexian": Mu Gong Ni, the word Junming, the Jade Emperor, and the name Yuanyang Father, Mu Gong, and Fusang Emperor are also called. Christmas is celebrated on the ninth day of the first lunar month.

The Eastern Princes originally referred to a generalization of the monarchs who ruled the East in ancient times.

During the Shang and Zhou dynasties, people's belief and worship of the Emperor of Heaven was very extensive, thinking that there was an Emperor of Heaven who presided over the good fortune and evil of the world, so they worshiped the Eastern Princes as the Emperor of Heaven at that time, and then deified.

Later, some literati and writers portrayed the Eastern Princes as the Emperor of Heaven, the Emperor of Heaven was called the Jade Emperor, and the Jade Emperor was also called the Jade Emperor;

Then Taoism deified it, saying that the Jade Emperor ruled over the three realms and four lives: the heavenly realm, the earth realm, and the human realm;

Why is the prince of the east called "the prince of Dongmu"?

The prince of the east is the head of the male immortals, and the queen mother of the west is the king of the female immortals.

Therefore, if the Ten Directions of the Three Realms want to ascend to heaven and attain the Tao, they must first worship Mu Gong, and then worship the Golden Mother, so that they can ascend to the Nine Heavens, enter the Three Qings and worship the Yuan Shi.

In fact, according to the "Jade Emperor Sutra", the Eastern Princes are generated by the condensation of innate yang energy, and the Jade Emperor is the lord of the immortals and the emperor of the gods.

According to the "Jade Emperor Sutra", the Jade Emperor was originally the son of King Jingde of Guangyan Miaole Kingdom in ancient times, and was born at noon on the ninth day of the first month of the third year.

His mother was Queen Baoyue, and one day she dreamed that the Taishang Daojun, that is, Lingbao Tianzun, was pregnant when she sent a child.

When the prince was born, auspicious light illuminated the palace, and when the prince grew up, he "sacrificed himself to block the shortage of the north and replaced all living beings".

With the heart of helping the world and saving people, he practiced medicine to cure diseases, and learned Taoism and cultivated truth.

According to the "Collection of the High Jade Emperor's Books", it is recorded that the prince gave up the throne and cultivated the truth to transform all sentient beings, and experienced trillions of eons;

After thousands of tribulations, he became a Da Luo Jin Immortal;

and through ten thousand calamities, he always holds the way of heaven;

After hundreds of millions of tribulations, he finally ascended to the throne of "Taishang Open Heaven Holding Fu Imperial Calendar Containing True Body Dao Supreme Jade Emperor".

The ninth day of the first month of the first month of each year is the "Jade Emperor's Day", and each Taoist temple should hold a grand ceremony and chant the scriptures and confess;

Every year, on the twenty-fifth day of the lunar month, the Jade Emperor parades to the lower realm, and the Taoist temple will hold a dojo to welcome the Jade Emperor to drive the lower realm, and to investigate the good and evil in the world.

It is rumored that on this day, the Jade Emperor inspected the world, and when he traveled all the way, he sent many "inspectors and spiritual officials" to the world, who specially informed the heavens and the Jade Emperor of the good, evil, and evil people and things in the world, saying that the people born on this day were the reincarnation of the "spirit officials" of the heavens.

Therefore, it is better not to provoke those who are born on this day, so as not to cause trouble and be punished by heaven.

The formation of the Jade Emperor is fundamentally the result of Taoism's admiration and worship.

It is commonly known as "Tiangong" and "Lao Tianye" in the folk, and is the highest deity worshiped by the folk.

In ancient times, the emperor was worshipped, and the ancients believed that the mountains, rivers, wind, rain, thunder and lightning were all controlled by the gods of heaven, and the highest of these gods was the emperor of heaven.

According to the rule of secular emperors, people imagine that the emperor of heaven is the same as the emperor of the world, there are courts, palaces, concubines, ministers, civil and military officials, four meritorious officials, five directions to reveal the truth, four heavenly kings, nine star officials, twenty-eight constellations, and dragon kings of the four seas...... and so on, thus depicting the Three Realms and Ten Directions, people, gods and ghosts. In short, it synthesizes the many forms of emperors in the world.

Chinese Taoism believes that the Tao is boundless, and the Jade Emperor rules over all things in the universe everywhere, and he melts into the void of the Tao;

The Tao is endless, and the Jade Emperor, who cannot be imaged, is the carrier of the Tao, achieving all things and existing in the infinite.

Therefore, the Tao is: the system of nothingness, the root of creation, the foundation of the gods, the origin of heaven and earth, from which all things are born, and by which the five elements are made.

It is always said that the universe, yin and yang, and all things are produced by the Tao and are managed by the Jade Emperor.

That's why the Da Luo Vajra Body and the Da Luo Heavenly Realm were created.

Taoism believes that the Daluo Heavenly Realm is the Thirty-six Heavenly Realm, and the Yuan Shi Tianzun is the ancestor of the universe and the sect of the gods.

When the Daluo Heavenly Realm was formed, the Yuan Shi Tianzun and the Taiyuan Holy Mother incarnated into the Eastern Princes and the Western Queen Mother.

The Queen Mother of the West is the king of fairies in the universe, who is the essence of the universe, the true and pure, the sage, the wonderful, the good, the beautiful, and the essence, and the evolution of all things in heaven and earth;

The prince of the east is the head of the Great Luo Heavenly Immortals.

At this time, the universe had already been built for thirty-six days, and among the thirty-six heavenly realms, there were nine heavenly systems, so the Great Luo Heavenly Realm was divided into the "Nine Emperors", and it was they who governed the vast universe.

Therefore, later people divided the heavenly realm into nine realms, and each heavenly realm was ruled by a heavenly emperor, and since then there have been nine heavenly emperors and nine heavenly emperors.

In fact, it is not only Taoism that calls the prince of the east and the Jade Emperor.

In folklore, legends and believers, there are many kinds of titles, such as: Dongwang Gong, Dongmu Gong, Donghuang Taiyi, Donghua Emperor, Jade Emperor, Jade Emperor, Jade Emperor, Donghua Zifu Shaoyang Emperor...... Wait a minute.

Of course, all dynasties and sects have different ways of describing and painting the image of the Jade Emperor or the Heavenly Emperor.

After all, whether it is ancient or modern, who has really seen immortals, gods, generals or emperors?

As for the appearance of these gods, they are only images of people in spirit or fantasy.

Even China's three great strange books: the Book of Changes, the Book of Mountains and Seas, and the Yellow Emperor's Neijing. (and Qimen Dunjia) none of these strange books can really depict the true face of the Jade Emperor, the Jade Emperor or any Heavenly Emperor.
