I went to look up the information of Beiyue, and suddenly found that what we are talking about now is the Hengshan of Beiyue, which refers to the peak 10 kilometers south of Hunyuan County, Datong City, Shanxi. Before that, Beiyue Hengshan has always been Damao Mountain in the northwest of Quyang County, Baoding, Hebei Province, which is clearly recorded in the history books. Damao Mountain was called Heng Mountain in ancient times, its history can be traced back to the legendary Three Emperors and Five Emperors period, according to the "Historical Records and Feng Zen Book" records, Shun once went to Heng Mountain to worship. During the reign of Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty, Hengshan was renamed Changshan because of avoidance. It seems to be Zhao Yun's hometown during the Three Kingdoms, I didn't find very sufficient evidence to prove that Guheng Mountain is Zhao Yun's hometown, but it seems that the places are similar (all called Changshan), everyone can search for it by themselves if they are interested.

During the time of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, the Beiyue Temple was set up in Quyang, Hebei Province to worship. In the first year of Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty (61 years ago), he enshrined five mountains, of which Hengshan was the north mountain. During the time of Emperor Xuanwu of the Northern Wei Dynasty, the Beiyue Temple was built in Quyang County, which is south of Damao Mountain, and then the successive dynasties worshiped Beiyue in the Beiyue Temple. In the Northern Song Dynasty, the area around Damao Mountain was the border of Song and Liao. In the middle and late Ming Dynasty, there was a controversy between Beiyue in Quyang, Hebei or Hunyuan, Shanxi, but Hengshan was still set in Quyang, Hebei at that time.

It was not until July of the seventeenth year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1660) that Beiyue was changed to Hengshan in Hunyuan, Shanxi. In this paragraph, I guess Mr. Jin also ignored it, otherwise in "Smiling Proud Jianghu", there would be no Hanging Temple or anything.
