What is the Spiritual Root?

The opening chapter of the Candlelight Sutra clearly states that the spiritual root is the fundamental manifestation of the human body and soul. According to Qin Yuan's understanding, the spiritual root is the final embodiment of the body and soul after the combination, and all the mysteries of the origin of the human body are in it.

The heart and the spirit merged, the mind and the spiritual root merged, and Qin Yuan completed the last step of the spirit.

Just after the spirit root grew the third leaf, after a short period of calm, the three-leaf spirit root finally moved slowly. Just like a rocket taking off, heading straight above the sea of knowledge, the multicolored light mask of the spiritual root burst out with dazzling light, and the darkness of the surrounding void seemed to turn into substance, and the spring snow melted into the spiritual root like water, turning into drops of transparent spiritual water around the spiritual root.

The spirit root rose faster and faster, and the transparent water droplets around the light mask gathered the water ring from the water mist. Soon, the rising speed of the spiritual root reached the spiritual layer of the sea of knowledge, and as long as the embodied objects were in the way of the spiritual root, all of them were brutally crushed by the five-colored light, and a little bit of powder was integrated into the water ring. Qin Yuan even saw with his own eyes that a small world standing in the way was crushed and annihilated.

The pressure of the third spiritual layer is much smaller than that of the fourth mysterious layer, and the spiritual water droplets integrated into the water ring are also more than twice as many as those of the fourth layer. When it came to the second layer, this phenomenon was even more obvious, countless streamer messages were crushed and integrated, and the water ring was unexpectedly thick and strong, and when the spirit root rose to the first colorful layer, the chaotic information flow was like a moth to a fire surging towards the spirit root, turning into mist and then merging into the water ring.

Although along the way, the spiritual root was like an emperor patrolling, and everywhere he went, he surrendered, but Qin Yuan knew that the transformed sea knowledge sea might not even be a drop in the bucket.

Finally, Qin Yuan felt the heavenly light of the sea knowledge space enter, and there was a loud "boom", like a fish leaping through the dragon gate, the spirit root struggled to jump out of the sea of knowledge, hanging in the center of the sea knowledge space, and then the five-color light mask expanded uncontrollably to the surroundings. In the blink of an eye, the five-color mask was already attached to the edge of the originally opened up sea of knowledge.

But this is only the beginning, the expansion of the five-color mask seems to be unstoppable, brutally stretching out the edge of the black fog of the sea of knowledge, and in a few breaths, the space of the sea of knowledge has rapidly expanded from the size of the original room to the size of a football field, and it is only at this time that the expansion speed of the five-color mask has slowed down, and the five-color mask has also become one with the edge of the original sea of knowledge.

At the same time, the three-leaf spiritual root slowly descended to the surface of the sea with a ring of water, and the five-colored soil joined the colorful layer of the sea of knowledge, and the five spiritual root roots rooted in the five-colored soil penetrated into the sea of knowledge along the five-colored soil, and the entire space of the sea of knowledge trembled slightly, as if announcing the king's arrival.

The surrounding ring of transparent water is stimulated, and a small part of it splits into five strands and flows into the five-colored soil.

And so, the magical change began.

The five-colored soil spread and expanded rapidly, and the three-leaf spirit tree seemed to have eaten hormones, and in a blink of an eye, it had grown into a towering tree, with the canopy layered on top of each other, covering most of the sea space, and vaguely, the crown could be distinguished into nine layers. The crown of the tree is at the edge of the sea space. And the other half of the water ring was restored to the purest spiritual source, nourishing Qin Yuan's depleted spiritual thoughts.

This series of changes made Qin Yuan dizzy, from the moment the spiritual root jumped out of the sea of knowledge, Qin Yuan's mind was imprisoned in the spiritual root, and he witnessed all these changes from the perspective of a bystander. It wasn't until the three-leaf spirit tree had fully grown into a towering tree that Qin Yuan's mind was liberated.

Then, a longing from the bottom of his heart filled Qin Yuan's thoughts, "Grow up, grow up......"

As a result, the nine-story canopy tree, which had stopped growing, began to grow slowly but firmly again, and the edge of the dome of the sea space once again involuntarily began to expand.

This time the expansion of the sea of knowledge was completely unexpected by Qin Yuan, and the expansion of the sea of knowledge described in the Candlelight Sutra should have ended by this point. Moreover, this opportunity to expand the sea of knowledge, no matter how high or low the exercises are, is only once in the process of breaking through for everyone. But now the strange thing is that the second expansion of Qin Yuan's sea space has begun.

This expansion is not as rapid and violent as the first time, but it is stable and durable. It wasn't until the space of the sea of knowledge was fully doubled that the expansion of the sea of knowledge stopped with the calmness of the spiritual root.

This kind of description, which completely refutes the Candlelight Sutra, Qin Yuan has already encountered the second time, and these two abnormalities, although the final result has brought great benefits to Qin Yuan. However, limited to the shallowness of Qin Yuan's background, it cannot explain the reason for this, so he can only keep it in his heart and leave it for future solution.

Silvery white rain and mist spilled from the dense foliage of the nine-layer canopy, drifting over the five-colored earth. A small whirlpool appeared at some point, and a large amount of silver-white rain mist swarmed in, and it didn't take long for the diffuse rain and mist to be sucked up, and a crystal round jade bead was suspended on the ground, followed by the second, and then the third...... The ninth.

However, the tenth did not converge and form, but centered on the nine jade beads, gradually filling in a looming cross-kneeled figure, and the nine jade beads were embedded between the eyebrows of the figure.

After the tea time, the rain and fog stopped coming out, and the illusory figure also condensed into substance, which was the appearance of Qin Yuan in reality.

This eyebrow jade bead is the crystallization of the consciousness described in the Candlelight Sutra, and it is the essence of the consciousness that every monk will condense after the successful manifestation of the spiritual root, and it is true.

In the Zhihai space, Qin Yuan opened his eyes for the first time, although he had observed everything in the Zhihai space from the perspective of a bystander, but when he observed everything here from the perspective of a "human", Qin Yuan couldn't help but be amazed.

In fact, even Qin Yuan didn't expect that the moment the spiritual root jumped out of the sea of knowledge, it was like a kind of life leap, and his body seemed to have undergone the most subtle and unpredictable changes, as if he realized for the first time how rough and unbearable, heavy and stupid his original body was. This subtle change in spirit and body made Qin Yuan unforgettable for a long time.

Until much later......

"So, it's time for a new beginning. ”

Reaching out from the center of the eyebrows, a brilliant crystal was slowly drawn out, the crystal looked like a jade bead at first glance, but in the subtleties it was a polyhedral crystal made of many subtle facets.

Although the crystallization of consciousness in front of him was stronger than steel, under Qin Yuan's thoughts, it was as soft as a finger. A mysterious rune, under the carving of Qin Yuan's thoughts, gradually engraved on the round surface of the crystallization of consciousness, turned into a refining seed. That rune is one of the five refining runes recorded in the Candlelight Sutra, the Baihui refining rune.

Qin Yuan smoothly pinched a handprint with both hands, and the refining seed suspended in front of him suddenly rushed to the sky, passing through the layers of tree canopies, and breaking through the sea of knowledge space.

Just when a refining seed disappeared in the sea of knowledge space, in Qin Yuan's top heart Baihui acupoint, a refining seed appeared at the same time, which was the Baihui refining seed that disappeared in the sea of knowledge.

In the narrow and difficult Baihui Acupoint, the mustard seed-sized refining seeds rapidly rotated and expanded, filling the Baihui in the blink of an eye. The condensed black clouds filled with the Baihui were all scorched and refined by the runes on the refining seeds. At this time, black smoke also floated from the place where Qin Yuan's body was sitting in the room.

The originally small Parkway has expanded tenfold, the space of the acupoint is spacious and clear, the round refining seeds and the acupoint are completely integrated, and the mysterious runes are painted all over the inner wall of the acupoint.

"Boom!" A loud sound resounded in Qin Yuan's mind, and then a surging heaven and earth aura poured into Baihui with a surging momentum. If the Baihui Acupoint, which had not been refined before, was a muddy path, then the current Baihui Acupoint was a long and vast airstrip, and the surging heaven and earth aura did not bring any pressure to the Baihui Acupoint, and it did not rush or slow to guide the surging aura outside the body straight down.

Just after refining the Seed of the Hundred Hui Acupoints, a bright star immediately appeared in the middle of the curtain of the Dome of the Sea of Knowledge, and at this moment, this star was full of starlight, and the aura of heaven and earth fell straight down from above this star, and it was bombarding the nine-layer canopy, and the torrent of aura was diverted down layer by layer by the crown without any pressure.

The dense leaves were hungry and thirsty for the spiritual energy of heaven and earth connected to the stars, and the torrent of spiritual energy did not bring the slightest ripple to the spiritual root. After a short time, the first opening of the Parkway acupoint slowly adapted to the flow of heaven and earth aura, and the turbulent aura became slow and stable.

On the other side, in the eyebrow heart seal hall, two spiritual qi erupted from this, one was five-colored, diverting the whole body along the Du vein, integrating into the blood veins, bones, five organs, and meridians;

Two rays of true qi flowed out from the Yin Hall, one was constantly diverting the flesh body to wash the marrow and refining the organs, so that Qin Yuan's physical body was slowly reborn and separated from the mortal womb, and the other cyan true qi filled the dantian, expanding the dantian, and transforming the dantian so that it could accommodate more of the stationing of the true qi.

Zhihai relies on the Baihui acupoint, between the eyebrows, and deep behind the Yin Hall. Baihui Acupoint, as one of the closest acupoints to Zhihai, also known as the top heart of the five hearts, is the most suitable acupoint for refining the acupoint after the manifestation of the spiritual root, because the absorbed violent heaven and earth aura will not cause great damage to the body.

The appearance of the first true qi, and taking the opportunity of the breakthrough, greatly cleanses the marrow and strengthens the body, so that the mortal body's weak body is separated from the mortal womb, so that it can withstand the infusion of violent aura from the outside world, so refining the first acupuncture point must be very cautious, so it is called opening the acupoint.

It was only at this time that Qin Yuan could be regarded as breaking through the Qi cultivation period and taking the most crucial step to become an immortal cultivator.

Qin Yuan controlled the cyan true qi in his body to circulate for thirty-six weeks and slowly regained his strength, and since then, every week, the spiritual root in the sea of consciousness has shrunk by one circle, and by the thirty-sixth week, the towering tree has recovered its original appearance as a three-leaf spirit tree. It was the reason for consuming the spiritual droplets brought out of the sea of consciousness that he was beaten back to his original form.

Qin Yuan was not surprised by this, it had already been said in the Candlelight Sutra, but Qin Yuan still inevitably had some faint regrets, the strength of the fully grown spiritual root was as strong as he could see it by looking at the unscrupulous absorption of heaven and earth spiritual energy from the Baihui Acupoint before.

When he opened his eyes, the first thing that caught Qin Yuan's eyes was a bucket of swarthy water stain, covered with a thick layer of black and red blood. Just moved slightly, and the blood on his body peeled off like a fragile eggshell, revealing Qin Yuan's white and tender skin.

The room was already in shambles, and traces of the raging heaven and earth aura abounded.

Qin Yuan turned a blind eye to everything around him, and his clear senses made Qin Yuan re-realize the wonderfulness of this world, attracting all his attention. The rich aura that had not yet dissipated around his body seemed to be within reach, and the aura seemed to be able to move with Qin Yuan's mind at any time, especially the cyan aura in it, which gently and affectionately surrounded Qin Yuan. Qin Yuan knew that this was just a sensory illusion brought about by the breakthrough just now, and he couldn't take it seriously.

Keen consciousness shuttles freely between flesh and bones, and the blood in the blood is like silver mercury, the bones are like fine iron, and the muscles are soft like steel.

With the passage of time, the clear feeling of clarity is also slowly fading, Qin Yuan put down his thoughts, walked out of the retreat room, and waited early after the brute force outside, in fact, it was impossible for Qin Yuan to absorb the aura of heaven and earth to make a move.

"Senior Brother" saw Qin Yuan coming out of the retreat room, and he couldn't wait to ask out loud, but his voice stopped abruptly.

Qin Yuan was slightly stunned, his eyes swept over the brute force two, their eyes were blank, and their eyes stared straight at Qin Yuan's forehead.

With a frown, Qin Yuan exhaled, "Wake up." ”

The two of them shuddered, and at the same time came back to their senses, "Senior brother, your eyebrows, your eyebrows" Brute Force's eyes flickered, and Ai Ai said.
