Chapter 8 Building the Foundation

The river was very turbulent, Chen Xiaobei was fluttering on the surface of the river, and I don't know how long it took, he suddenly felt a violent shaking, and he saw that the river was in front of him and drooped straight down.

Chen Xiaobei was suddenly shocked and wanted to jump to the shore, but as soon as he got up, he pulled the wound on his abdomen, and suddenly broke out in a cold sweat.

After such a delay, he fell down the river with the wood, and planted into the deep pool with two "plops".

At this moment, the wound in his abdomen cracked open again, blood flowed out, staining a pool of water red, and he almost fainted in pain.

Finally relieved, Chen Xiaobei covered the wound with one hand, and slowly paddled with the other, and finally paddled to a black rock on the edge of the pool.

After that, he put some medicinal powder on the wound, wrapped a layer of cotton cloth, and then relieved himself, lay down on the black rock, and rested slowly.

This time he was too seriously injured, and the blow of the wild boar demon pierced his entire abdomen, if it weren't for his cultivation of Tai Chi during this period of time, his physique was outstanding, I am afraid he would have died long ago.

The only thing he could do now was probably to stay quietly on this big rock and rely on the automatic operation of the Supreme Infinite Qi to heal his wounds.

Extremely bored, he stared blankly at a pool of turquoise water, watching the ripples caused by the waterfall gradually disappearing, and could no longer be observed, and the restlessness that had formed in his heart for some time seemed to gradually subside with the gradually calming ripples.

Comfortable, natural, that's how he feels at this moment. There is no longer the life of the past as if driven by others, and there is no possibility of desperately striving for all progress. Everything in the world seemed to have nothing to do with him, and he had never been so relaxed as he was today.

At this time, his heart was like an ancient well, and he couldn't think of it, and the state of mind that was repeatedly emphasized in the Gu Immortal Law was finally realized at this time.

Such a state of mind must be achieved without thinking in his heart, and he was too obsessed with the improvement of his cultivation and the strength of his strength in the past, so he couldn't let go of it all the time, so he naturally couldn't understand the subtleties.

And he couldn't afford to be seriously injured this time, and when there was nothing to do, he finally let go of the things that he had always taken to heart and used to spur him all the time.

After no thought burden, Chen Xiaobei looked at everything from a different angle than before, and when observing the water waves, his restless mood was slowly relieved, and he slowly reached the realm of thoughtlessness.

And when he reaches this realm, he can be regarded as a real introduction to the Gu Immortal Law, before he paid too much attention to the supernatural powers in the "Taishang Wuji Mysterious True Sutra", and gave up the way to seek magic, and finally he may practice a supernatural power, but he has no chance of the Great Dao, and he cannot live forever.

Chen Xiaobei was in this state of mind, and everything he saw in front of him was very different from usual.

If before he had seen the world with his eyes, now he saw the world with his spiritual sense, and everything around him came to his heart naturally, including the waterfall that surged down, including the little fox hiding behind a big tree and peeking at him curiously.

Not only that, but his vision is not limited to this, he can even observe a small grass that looks like a fluff.

He was deeply intoxicated by what he saw, and he began to like all this from the bottom of his heart, and liked the feeling that this cultivation gave him. It's different from before just to be strong, to prove yourself.

From today onwards, he began to embark on the journey of a true immortal cultivator, not for strength, not for proving himself, but for the scenery along the way.

He is like a mountaineer, his original purpose may be to fitness, for a sense of conquest, but when he walked on the road, he saw a different scenery than before, he suddenly changed his mind, he wanted to witness the different scenery along the way.

Chen Xiaobei first embarked on the path of cultivating immortals only because the current environment is like this, everyone must cultivate immortals, otherwise he will not be able to survive in this world.

Later, he continued on this road because of a spirit of not admitting defeat, or to prove himself.

And now, he's for the view along the way.

If in the past, Chen Xiaobei would be called by others as "clarifying his Dao heart", that is, why he cultivated immortals, and the motivation for him to cultivate immortals.

If anything, it's the difference between active and reactive.

Before, although he said that he was holding his breath in his heart and desperately cultivating immortals, he was actually passive, resisting under the oppression of others.

And now he is taking the initiative, he is willing to cultivate immortals and witness everything along the way.

One is active, the other is passive, and the effect is naturally very different.

For three days and three nights lying on this stone, Chen Xiaobei watched the torrent tossing and turning at the beginning, the vast soup, and turning into a waterfall from a high altitude and falling into the pool, but it was quiet and distant, and it was tranquil.

This movement is static, one is relaxed, one yin and one yang, all are water!

In a trance, a flash of spiritual light flashed, and he seemed to understand a trace of the true meaning of water. Naturally, in his mind, he visualized the Northern Black Emperor Five Spirits Xuan Lao Wu Qi Heavenly Monarch, and a vortex of spiritual energy began to gather around him, and he began to absorb the Heaven and Earth Yuan Qi into himself.

Induct air into the body!

When an immortal cultivator reaches the peak of Qi refining, the essence in his body is no longer enough to support him to go further, so he needs to open the bridge between heaven and earth, attract the spiritual energy of heaven and earth into his body, replace his own essence, and refine it into mana.

According to the current theory of cultivation, this stage is called "foundation building", and some people bluntly call it "inducing qi into the body", and the Gu Immortal Law that Chen Xiaobei is currently practicing calls this stage "refining the essence of heaven and earth", which can also be called "Bigu"!

From this stage onwards, the current way of practice begins to be different from that of the Gu Immortal Method.

The "foundation" in the current theory is not only that it opens up the bridge between heaven and earth and lays the foundation for absorbing the aura of heaven and earth, but also that it also opens up the mud pill palace, awakens the soul, and appears divine consciousness, laying the foundation for the growth of spiritual power.

In the Gu Immortal Law, "refining the essence of heaven and earth" is to distinguish it from refining one's own essence.

It is mentioned in the "Taishang Wuji Mystery Sutra" that people are born in heaven and earth, and eat grains and miscellaneous gases, that is, they are transformed from congenital to acquired. And the cultivation of people must return from the five elements to the five elders, and the three flowers will turn into three purities, so that they can return to the original infinite essence and reach the end of the circle.

The meaning of this sentence is probably that after a person is born, he will fall into the acquired place because he eats the miscellaneous grains, and cultivation is to let himself return to his innate nature from the acquired nature.

At the beginning of the practice, because the bridge between heaven and earth was not opened, it was not allowed to first refine the qi with the miscellaneous qi of the five grains, and then to fasten the five grains, and live purely on the aura of heaven and earth.

This is also the reason why this stage can be called "Bigu"!

In short, the meaning of the Gu Immortal Law is that cultivation is to return to the innate step by step, and the first thing to start is not to eat grains, but to feed on the aura of heaven and earth.
