The queen recited the Amitabha Buddha silently, and when her finger touched the cash tree, the pearls as big as the dragon's eye, the finest ice jade, countless rubies, emeralds and rare night pearls on the branches of the tree fell to the ground one after another. The king and queen were pleasantly surprised, and they were worried that the treasures would fall to the ground and shatter.
Fortunately, the treasures fell to the ground and were not broken, and they were all intact.
The king cried out, "Holy monk, you must teach me the mantra of the cash cow." ”
Tang Sanzang said with a smile: "Your Majesty, the mantra is very simple, it is Nan Wu Amitabha. ”
The king was stunned and said, "Isn't this the Buddha Gate?"
Sanzang said: "Your Majesty, this certificate is the Buddha name of Buddhism, a simple six-character proverb, but it has great magical powers. ”
The king said: "Holy monk, it's not that I don't believe in the great supernatural powers of the Buddha, but the Buddha doesn't care about the life and death of the people of our Chechi country, and countless temples have been built inside and outside the capital of the Chechi country, and countless arhats and bodhisattvas have been worshipped. It's just that Arhat Bodhisattva has a lot of offerings and incense every year, but when the great drought of the day is about to cut off my car and the country, neither Arhat Bodhisattva nor the Buddha will ever manifest their spirits. They just ask for the power of our faith, but they don't care about our life or death, and when I am angry, I will respect the Tao and destroy the Buddha from now on. Therefore, although the cash cow of the holy monk is magical, I am not willing to recite Nam no Amitabha. ”
Sanzang said: "Your Majesty is not willing to recite Nan Wu Amitabha Buddha There is no problem, the problem is that Your Majesty did not destroy the Buddha, but destroyed the mortal believers who also believed that the Bodhisattva would save them, so Your Majesty did a bad job." ”
The king said, "Why am I doing something bad?"
Sanzang said: "Your Majesty, I traveled west to learn scriptures, and on the way I passed through a county seat, and the officials of the county were addicted to gambling and did not do their jobs. One day, an envoy sent by the king came down to inspect and found that the official had used all the money the king had drawn out for gambling. The envoy was furious, led the accompanying officers and soldiers, and killed all the people in the county. ”
The king said, "Why didn't the envoy kill the county officials, but the people of the county?"
Sanzang said: "Because the county official is the brother-in-law of the current king, the imperial envoy blames the people for not persuading the county officials to quit drugs, so the blame lies with the people and not with the county officials." ”
The king was silent.
Sanzang said: "Your Majesty, Che Chi Guo built a temple, everyone believes in the Arhat Bodhisattva Buddha, but when the people are in trouble, but do not see the Arhat Bodhisattva manifestation, Your Majesty is angry and worship the Tao to destroy the Buddha is understandable, but Your Majesty did not go to destroy the Buddha, but to destroy the mortal believers who believe in the Buddha, which is the same as the practice of killing the imperial envoy who killed the people of the whole city without killing the county officials who used the disaster relief money for gambling in a fit of anger." ”
The king was embarrassed, and his forehead was covered with cold sweat.
Sanzang said: "Your Majesty, you have issued a decree that anyone who is a monk in Chechi Kingdom will be killed; anyone who has dirty monk's clothes will be cut off his hands and feet; and anyone who is found to be a monk and does not report to the official is guilty of the same as the monk himself." So, Your Majesty, if Your Majesty is a monk himself, and the whole family has become a monk, will Your Majesty adhere to the law and kill all his parents, brothers, sisters, wives, and children?"
The king said angrily: "You demon monk, I am the king, and naturally no one in my family will be a monk." ”
Sanzang smiled and said: "Your Majesty is angry, even if no one in the king's family will be a monk, then if your family secretly hides monk's clothes, or wears monk's clothes to swagger through the market, will Your Majesty cut off his hands and feet, and connect the family?"
The king said, "You monk is here, I didn't order the guards to take you and kill you, I have already opened up to you." You are a passing monk, and you are from the Eastern Tang Dynasty, I can't bear to let you take a few steps, you don't squeeze me with words, otherwise, I will punish you to be a coolie here for a lifetime. ”
Tang Sanzang laughed and said, "King, I gave you a cash cow, don't you want it?"
"You can keep the cash cow, but you can't. ”
Sanzang smiled and said: "In this case, Your Majesty, the poor monk retires." ”
The king snorted coldly: "Get out, you don't have to say goodbye." ”
An auspicious cloud rose under Tang Sanzang's feet and soared away. The queen and the king looked up and saw that the Tang Sanzang Buddha was shining, just like the Buddha.
The queen said, "Your Majesty, the words of the holy monk, I think they are quite reasonable. ”
The king said, "What is the reason?"
The queen said: "Your Majesty, we can't be the imperial envoys who kill the people of the city, the people are right, the wrong is the poisonous county officials." There is nothing wrong with the monks in the temple, but the fault is the Arhats and Bodhisattvas who refuse to manifest their spirits to save the lives of the people. ”
Cold sweat broke out on the king's forehead, and he said: "We have three national teachers in Chechi, and the national teachers all support me in worshipping the Tao and destroying the Buddha, and I have done nothing wrong. ”
Syllable!
A thing fell from the cash cow.
When the king and the lady looked at it, they were obedient, and what fell was not a gold coin or a pearl agate, but a monk's head, whose head was covered with blood, and shouted in his mouth: "Your Majesty, return my life." "The bloody head flew up and bit at the king. The king was so shocked that he threw a punch right in the head. The human head was knocked backwards, hitting the pillar, and the brain burst.
"Your Majesty, return my life. Another monk's head fell from the tree and opened its mouth to bite the queen. The queen was frightened, and hurriedly took a step back, and the king was brave enough to block in front of the mother, kicked out, and kicked the monk's head away.
However, more voices sounded, and in an instant, the gold coins and jewels all over the tree were gone, and the trees were full of monks' heads, all of whom spoke and said, "Your Majesty, return my life." ”
The king and the queen were shocked, and the king hurriedly shouted, "Guards, where are the guards!" He protected the queen and mother, but all the gold coins and jewels on the ground also disappeared, and turned into countless bloody monk heads, while shouting that Your Majesty will return my life, while opening his mouth to bite the king and the queen mother.
For a while, the head of the monk on the tree and the head of the monk on the ground all flew up, opened Bai Sensen's big mouth, and bit the queen and the king indiscriminately. No matter how brave the king is, he can't stop the attacks of so many monks, and in an instant, the whole body of the king and the queen mother was bitten all over the head, and the king and the queen mother fell in a pool of blood, unable to struggle.
The king desperately opened several human heads that had bitten his face, and shouted, "Guard, guard!" The king was horrified, and looked at the queen mother beside him, and the queen mother also shouted, and suddenly did it, shouting: "Help, help!"
The king hurriedly hugged the queen and said, "Wake up, wake up, it's me." He slapped the queen several times before he woke up the queen.
The queen's face was pale, her whole body was covered in cold sweat, her eyes were dull, but her face was frightened, and her muscles were twisted.
The maids and guards heard the king's shouts and rushed in to rescue them. Then they saw the king and queen, both bald and dressed in monk's robes, hugging each other on the bed and trembling with frightened faces. (To be continued.) )
