Chapter 8 Buddhist Martial Arts

At midnight, Liu Ruoshui quietly got up, got dressed, and casually clicked on the sleeping holes of the little monks who "slept together", so that they could sleep more deeply.

After walking out of the monk's house, we arrived at the Hall of the Heavenly King. Passing through the Hall of the Heavenly King, it is the Hall of the Great Hero. The hall enshrines the statues of Sakyamuni, Amitabha Buddha and Medicine Buddha, and the statue of Guanyin is hung behind the screen wall, and there are eighteen Arhats standing on both sides. After the Daxiong Treasure Hall, there is the famous Tibetan Scripture Pavilion.

These days, although Liu Ruoshui has not cared about the situation of the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion. But he has been in it for a long time, so he naturally knows the arrangement inside. The Shaolin Scripture Pavilion is divided into two floors. On the first floor, there are Buddhist scriptures, and on the second floor, there are martial arts secrets.

Therefore, Liu Ruoshui did not go to the main entrance, but performed light skills, soared up, and then broke in through the window on the second floor of the Scripture Pavilion.

After entering the Scripture Pavilion, Liu Ruoshui made a move and lit the sleeping cave of the four monks guarding the pavilion, so that they could sleep drowsily.

Liu Ruoshui looked around, and after finding that there were no other enemies, he couldn't help but exclaim, "What a Shaolin Temple, it is really 'well-intentioned'!"

Liu Ruoshui knew in his heart that the reason why he was able to enter the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion so clearly and secretly read the martial arts classics was not because of himself, but because of the "green light" of Shaolin Temple.

For ordinary martial arts sects, martial arts secrets are the treasures within their sects, and they must not be snooped on. Therefore, all the martial arts cheats of the major sect are often not written on paper, but passed on by word of mouth between masters and apprentices, in this way, to avoid the leakage of martial arts classics.

Different from the general martial arts sects, the Shaolin Temple did not collect all the martial arts secrets, but put them in the Shaolin Temple's Tibetan Scripture Pavilion, and only a few monks as caretakers.

But compared to the endless number of thieves, this guardian power is definitely dwarfed. Don't say that it is Liu Ruoshui at this time, even if it is a martial artist at the level of the "Five Uniques", I am afraid that he can come and go freely.

However, the reason for this situation is not because of the lack of strength within the Shaolin Temple, but because they don't care. For the Shaolin Temple, they have never worried that someone will go to the Shaolin Temple to learn martial arts. Even, for the Shaolin Temple, those who steal Shaolin martial arts should be as good as possible.

The martial arts of Shaolin Temple are passed down from the ancestor of Bodhidharma. The reason why Bodhidharma Ancestor passed down martial arts is to let his disciples strengthen their bodies and protect the Dharma and subdue demons. Therefore, when practicing any martial arts, there is always a compassionate and benevolent mind, and if it is not based on Buddhism, then when practicing martial arts, it will definitely hurt oneself. The deeper you practice, the more you will be injured. If what you practice is just the outer door kung fu of punching and kicking, and the hidden weapon of the blade, then it will do you little harm, you just need to be strong and able to resist yourself.

However, if one practices the best martial arts of this school, such as the Flower Finger, the Dora Leaf Finger, the Prajna Palm, and the like, and does not reconcile and dissolve them with the Dharma, the anger will penetrate deep into the internal organs, and the deeper and deeper it will become, a hundred times more powerful than any external poison. The Great Wheel Ming King is a disciple of my Buddhism, who has studied the Dharma intensively, memorized and discerned, and is unparalleled in the world, but if he does not have the idea of compassion and generosity and the desire to benefit all sentient beings, although the classics are flooded and the wonderful arguments are unhindered, he will not be able to dissipate the anger of the clock when practicing these superior martial arts.

It is that every skill must be resolved by the corresponding compassionate Dharma. If you only practice martial arts and don't practice Buddhism, you will inevitably be counterattacked, and life is worse than death. Only the higher the Dharma, the more compassionate the thought, the more martial arts skills can be practiced, but the cultivation of such a high monk, but disdain to learn more all kinds of powerful killing methods.

Therefore, anyone who has cultivated the martial arts of Shaolin Temple will actually only have two final ends. Either wait for the backlash of martial arts and go crazy. Either they will escape into the empty door and become a monk in the Shaolin Temple.

All of this, but there is no need to say more, Liu Ruoshui just walked to the bookshelf of the Scripture Pavilion and flipped through the martial arts secrets in the Scripture Pavilion.

Wood-burning knife method, Vedic pestle, Fengyun hand, flower finger, scattered flower palm, eagle claw hand, Pudu staff, Chiba hand, drunken stick, Dharma sword, Arhat fist, demon sword, Shura knife, Donkey Kong fist, impermanence staff, one-finger Zen, Shadow Legs, Rulai Thousand Hands, Veda Palm, Shaolin Bullet Leg, Silence Grab, Maha Finger, Mercy Knife, Mighty Vajra Finger, Dora Leaf Finger, Shaolin Grappling Eighteen Dozen, Maha Finger, 108 Crazy Wand Method, Suji Mountain Palm, Heart and Qi Mixed Yuan Gong, Big Tablet Wrestler, Bodhicitta Method, Dragon Descending Elephant Gong, Ruyi Bone Shrinking Gong......... ...

Yijin Sutra, Washing the Pulp Sutra, Jiuyang Divine Skill, Tongzi Gong, Changhong Guansun, Agni Palm, Cold Ice Palm, Iron Head Gong, Iron File Gong, Iron Arm Gong, Iron Cloth Shirt, Plum Blossom Pile Footwork, A Reed Crossing the River, Wuxiang Shengong, Dragon Elephant Prajna Gong, Wuxiang Robbery Finger, Six-character Daming Mantra, Luohan Boxing, Great Compassion Palm, Light Body Technique, Golden Bell Jar, Shaolin Dragon Claw Hand, Eighteen Bronze Man Array, One Hundred and Eight Arhat Array, Lion's Roar, Overlord Elbow, Mighty Vajra Palm, Prajna Divine Palm, Robe Subduing Demon Gong, Vajra Not Bad Body Divine Skill, Vajra Subduing Demon Circle, Dharma Closed Breath Gong......

Immovable Nine Seals, such as the Divine Palm, Heavenly Eye, Heavenly Ear, Great Light Sanskrit, Heavenly Illusion, Five Elements Town Magic............

Although in the Shaolin Temple, the "Shaolin Temple Seventy-two Stunts", "Yijin Sutra", and "Washing the Pulp Sutra" are the most famous, but in the Shaolin Temple, there are only these martial arts. Although the statement that "the world's martial arts come out of Shaolin" is indeed a bit biased, "Buddhism's martial arts" out of Shaolin is by no means an empty word.

After a night's hard work, Liu Ruoshui read all the martial arts cheats in the Hidden Scripture Pavilion and memorized them in his heart, then quietly left and returned to the house.

This night, although the harvest was not small, Liu Ruoshui had a feeling of "pity" in his heart. Liu Ruoshui's trip to the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion this time was to read the Buddhist martial arts collected in it, and secondly, to see if there were Buddhist masters like "sweeping monks" in this Tibetan Scripture Pavilion.

Originally, Liu Ruoshui was actually hopeful about this. The reason why Shaolin has a character like a sweeping monk is actually not for no reason.

Shaolin is originally Zen Buddhism, and most of them are monks. Those monks eat fasting and chant Buddha, even if they learn some techniques to strengthen the body, they are mostly health-preserving, less fighting, and can be used for keeping the success, but it is really difficult to get it for killing. At this point, whether it is the host of the Shaolin Temple or the abbot, it is actually the same. After all, a Buddhist temple like Shaolin Temple still focuses on Buddhism, and martial arts are just a means of support.

However, among the "great monks" such as the host and abbot, there are indeed very few people with profound martial arts, but in the Shaolin Temple, some inconspicuous little people may be strong in martial arts. Those strong people may be just a sweeping monk, they may just be a monk who burns a fire, or they may be just a monk who does miscellaneous things. These monks, when they were young, either served in the army as generals, fought countless battles on the battlefield, or became famous in the rivers and lakes, and their hands were full of blood. Only in his old age did he get tired of killing, so he went to Shaolin to become a monk and cultivate his mind! Among them, Murong Bo in the Tianlong era and Xie Xun in the Yitian era are examples.

Seriously speaking, people like Murong Bo, Xiao Yuanshan, Xie Xun and others are actually the "Dharma Protector King Kong" of Shaolin Temple, and it is precisely because of the existence of "Dharma Protector King Kong" that Shaolin Temple can endure for a long time.

It's a pity that Liu Ruoshui came to Shaolin Temple, but he didn't meet such a person. Among the monks who guard the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion of Shaolin Temple, there are many people with advanced martial arts. Among them, the most profound ones have even reached the level of "five uniques".

I have to say that the hidden strength of Shaolin Temple is indeed quite a lot. If outsiders knew that among the ordinary sweeping monks in Shaolin Temple, there was such a strong person hidden, it would inevitably cause an uproar.

It's just that for outsiders, the martial arts of the "sweeping monk" have reached the pinnacle. But for Liu Ruoshui, it is still too weak to talk to himself.

However, if you talk about it seriously, I'm afraid that even the "sweeping monk" in the Tianlong era is not enough to sit and discuss with Liu Ruoshui. In the entire history of Shaolin, the only person who can sit and discuss with Liu Ruoshui is probably the Zen patriarch - Dharma.

Bodhidharma was born in the south of Tianzhu and was the prince of Xiangzhi Kingdom, and his caste was Kshatriya.

Tianzhu social classes are divided into four types. One is a Brahmin who presides over religion, the second is a Kshatriya, a royal family who is in charge of politics, three Vaishyas are merchants, and four Dharas are peasant slaves. The first two were nobles, and it goes without saying that their lives were pleasant, while the latter two clans, especially the Tuo (tenants), were despised and oppressed, and the suffering was unimaginable. Shakyamuni, seeing the situation that Si did not want to see, so he gave up the throne and tried to get rid of it, and Si visited all the teachers, but the result was not satisfied with what he wanted. It is based on one's own thinking that he has attained the deepest enlightenment, and he is called a Buddha. With the enlightenment obtained, and at the same time influencing the general wind and clouds, Buddhism was established by Si.

Born in the most noble Kshatriya, but Bodhidharma was not satisfied, the whole Tianzhu was lifeless, without a trace of vitality, like a dying generation.

Later, he studied Buddhism with Prajnatara as his teacher.

Tianzhu pays attention to the caste system, divides the hierarchy by birth, the lowly are born lowly, the noble are born noble, oppression is everywhere, bullying everywhere, for 10,000 years, it is still lifeless and lacks vitality.

It was only because of caste oppression that Tianzhu was torn apart, causing Tianzhu to be weakened and invaded many times, without any power to fight back.

Buddhism, on the other hand, emphasizes the equality of all beings, is opposed to the caste system, and is not in harmony with society.

Bodhidharma has been wandering in Tianzhu for many years, but the Dharma has not been spread, but it is restricted everywhere, and there are many trips to destroy the Buddha.

Bodhidharma asked Master, "After I have attained the Dharma, which country should I go to do Buddha work?"

Master said, "When I am gone, I can go to Aurora and spread my Buddha's wonderful teachings!"

"Why not in Tianzhu! Tianzhu, Buddhism is in decline and in danger of destruction, only in Aurora can Buddhism prosper!"

Later, Bodhidharma left his hometown, left Tianzhu, and went to Aurora (that is, China), and since then, he has never returned to Tianzhu.

Bodhidharma and his entourage traveled across the ocean, and after three years of turbulence at sea, they finally reached the South China Sea. Xiao Ang, the assassin of Guangzhou, prepared the etiquette of the host and welcomed them

Emperor Wu of Liang met with Bodhidharma, but it was a pity that Bodhidharma's method did not fit Emperor Wu of Liang, so Bodhidharma went all the way north.

All the way north, Bodhidharma arrived in Luoyang.

Later, at the age of seventy-eight, Bodhidharma passed away.

Bodhidharma was born to promote Buddhism all his life, and the martial arts passed down by Bodhidharma's patriarch, whether it is the "Yijin Sutra", "Washing the Marrow Sutra", or "Shaolin Seventy-two Peerless Learning", are just to protect the Dharma.

There is no doubt that according to the theory of Buddhism, when Bodhidharma is alive, he can be regarded as the Dharma protector Vajra of Buddhism walking in this world! This is exactly what Liu Ruoshui needs to learn. If even a person like Bodhidharma can't successfully condense the martial will of Buddhism, then no one will be able to do this.

To learn Bodhidharma, it is natural to start with his martial arts. What Liu Ruoshui has to do at this time is to reverse all the "Yijin Sutra", "Pulp Washing Sutra", and "Seventy-two Stunts of Buddhism", and deduce the state of mind and state when Bodhidharma founded these martial arts, so as to condense his "martial will".

"The first Shaolin exercise is for children. The world says that only a virgin can cultivate Tongzigong, and only a virgin can cultivate to the highest level, but in fact, it is poor. Tong Zigong, the emphasis is not on the form, the emphasis is on maintaining the heart of a child, not stained by dirt. Only the mirror of the soul can achieve twice the result with half the effort. As long as the boy is successful and practices any exercise, he can fly and improve! Tong Zi Gong does not have the strongest attack, nor the strongest defense, nor the strongest degree, but it can lay the strongest foundation!"

"Yijin meridian, quenching the meridians, washing the marrow meridian, washing the hair and cutting the marrow. These two exercises can improve the qualifications to the greatest extent, even if it is a waste material, if it is cultivated for a long time, it will become a first-class martial arts genius!"

"Changhong through the sun, plum blossom pile footwork, a reed crossing the river, and light body techniques are all light exercises, but the focus is different. Changhong runs through the sun, pays attention to explosive power, instant improvement; plum blossom pile pace, pays attention to the mystery of change, suitable for close combat; a reed crosses the river, suitable for long-distance travel, between walking, such as a fierce horse galloping; and light body technique, pay attention to long-lasting endurance!"

"Iron Head Gong, Iron File Gong, Iron Arm Gong, Iron Cloth Shirt, Golden Bell Jar, and King Kong Incorruptible Body Divine Skill are all based on refining the body, which can improve the overall defense!"

"The Phaseless Divine Skill, the Phaseless Robbery Finger, the Arhat Fist, the Great Compassion Palm, the Mighty Vajra Palm, the Prajna Divine Palm, the Robe and the Demon Skill, etc., are all supreme killing skills!"

"Eighteen bronze human arrays, one hundred and eight Arhat arrays, King Kong Demon Circles, etc., are supreme formations, combined attack techniques!"

Compared to obscure Buddhist scriptures, martial arts cheats are much easier to understand. After Liu Ruoshui obtained these exercises, it only took three days to comprehend them thoroughly and learn them.

It's just that the more he cultivates these martial arts, the more Liu Ruoshui's brows wrinkle.

Because Liu Ruoshui found that after he practiced Shaolin's mastery, he not only did not comprehend the "Dharma". On the contrary, the anger in his chest is getting stronger every day. Although for Liu Ruoshui, these angers are nothing. But if he continues to cultivate like this, I'm afraid he will only become a demon, and he is really 108,000 miles away from the true meaning of Buddhism. (To be continued.) )
