As the Taoist saying goes, Tianzun is born, and then chaos opens, and then there are all things in heaven and earth, all kinds of creatures, and people.

But these are just legends, myths made up by people. No one had ever seen the Celestial Venerable, and no one had been able to witness the moment when chaos was broken. As for why people were born in this world, it is even more complicated and unclear. These are questions that few mortals are concerned with, and this is the concern of wise men who need to boast of their erudition. Men and women who are well fed and drunk can have babies together, and it is enough to know this.

But mortals sometimes must also care about history and the major events in the world. Because sometimes things will fall directly on them, and a careless or just a moment of bad luck will smash them to pieces.

Like this day, the sky fell.

There was a thunderclap in the southern sky, and the whole world began to shake violently, the earth shook and was torn into countless pieces, the earth and rocks staggered and collapsed, the valleys suddenly rose to form hundred-foot high cliffs, and the hills sank deep into the ground to form deep crypts. The whole earth seemed to be a piece of jade porcelain that had been trampled into large and small pieces, shattering and taking countless lives away at the same time

The tremors that spread across the continent lasted only a brief moment before stopping.

The original blue sky broke a corner due south, and next to the red sun at noon, a piece of the canopy was torn off like tissue paper, revealing a dark starry sky, in which a few stars were constantly twinkling.

In the eyes of the terrified mortals on the ground, the starry sky was even more dazzling than the scorching sun beside it, as if it was the embodiment of the god of fear descending on the mortal world to spread suffering

At this time, everyone knew that the sky had fallen.

The debris whistled and fell rapidly, and the thunderous roar was like the laughter of death, hovering in everyone's hearts.

To the beings on the ground, the debris fell slowly. At first, it was only slightly larger than a palm, however, after a few breaths, the fragments grew larger and larger. Until it completely obscured the sun, casting a shadow the size of half a continent on the ground.

The frightened people began to flee in all directions. No matter which direction you run desperately, no mortal can escape from the bottom of the sky, even if it is only a small fragment. Those who are desperate to survive can only look at the small piece of sky, slowly and heavily falling over their heads until it fills all the space around their bodies. Eventually, in countless howls of pain and fear, their bodies will be crushed into a wet, blood-colored dust and buried deep underground.

The fragments of the sky smashed into the center of the continent, smashing out a huge deep crater, directly destroying the two small countries below. The entire pit is more than 3,000 zhang deep, with a radius of nearly 40,000 li. Fragments of the sky filled almost the entire crater, and the smooth surface above it was nearly 10,000 feet higher than the surrounding terrain.

The earth rolled outward like fish scales, and the huge impact directly lowered the surrounding hundreds of thousands of miles of terrain by hundreds of zhang, while the edge of the earth was lifted to the same height. This is bound to cause untold disasters, the most obvious from the air is the six million miles of East China Sea flooding the interior, but for most people, this is almost imperceptible, especially when they are surrounded by stormy sands that cover the sky.

The catastrophe caused by the sea will be slow, and it will be slow enough to cover much of the area from the center of the earth to the east coast for thousands of years.

Waves of water hundreds of feet high are rushing towards the giant crater in the center of the earth. A wave more than a dozen times more violent than a tsunami swallowed everything in its path, submerging tall trees and hills hundreds of feet high, and hundreds of millions of lives disappeared like foam in the sea.

A figure was slowly descending from the hole in the sky. It was a man with long red hair, dressed in a tattered sackcloth, and his bare arms and feet were covered with red and blue patterns, emitting a faint light that seemed to flow slowly. The sackcloth on his body was like two withered yellow maple leaves that had fallen half, simply draped on his body, and a hemp rope was tied around his waist so that it would not be blown off by the chaotic and irritable angry wind.

The man has a handsome appearance and delicate facial features. is so delicate that under the cover of red hair and red blueprints, the whole person looks very weird.

The gusts of wind from the starry sky hit him, and the tattered sackcloth was tightened and straightened by the wind behind him, as if it would be torn to shreds in the next moment. The long red hair swayed gently like a flame, as if the wind outside the sky could not shake it in the slightest.

The second shaking of the earth stopped when the red-haired man appeared, but the disaster on the ground was still raging wildly. Countless points of light rose into the air, swaying and rising in the wind. These are the souls of living beings that fell after the collapse of the sky. Because the reincarnation path has been broken, they cannot rest in peace after death, so they can only stay helplessly in the void, slowly dissipate, and finally return to nothingness.

The red-haired man frowned, and when he saw the miserable scene on the ground, his face was cold and could not see joy or anger.

A slightly magnetic voice came from the void behind him, and the tone was so flat that there was almost no popularity: "Is this what you want?"

The man didn't answer, just looked at the cracked earth.

The dust raised by the falling fragments of the sky is spreading towards the edge of the earth. The sand and dust look very low from the sky, but when you are in the middle of it, you will realize that the sand and dust are actually overwhelming the sky, which can easily flatten the mountains, roll everything on the ground into the air like dust, and then fall down hard, and so on, until it is torn into real dust.

Directly below the man was the Demon Domain, where all his clansmen were. It won't be long before the sandstorm that has swept half of the land will spread to the Demon Domain, reaping the lives of the people in patches.

Another voice came from outside the hole in the firmament, roaring to declare his pleasure: "Well done, when this formation is broken, I will reward you well." ”

As if in response to the violent laughter, the entire heaven and earth shook again, and the already broken sky was torn apart again, and the second fragment fell straight to the demon domain below.

The man's expression finally changed, and his face rose with endless pain and remorse, and he said in a deep voice, "My people don't deserve such punishment!"

Before he could finish speaking, the man had already rushed to the ground, and instantly flew under the falling debris.

I saw that his right hand was held high, and his left hand was pinched into a seal at the mouth of his heart, and his whole body was full of light. In a roar comparable to a heavenly collapse, all the light condensed into a substantial ball of light in the blink of an eye.

The ball of light grew larger and larger until it enveloped the entire 10,000-mile-long and wide fragment, and then stopped growing.

From a distance, the ball of light condensed by the man was more than ten times larger than the sun in the sky.

The earth and sky roared in pain as they collapsed, and the ball of light dragged the fragments as they slowly descended with the man. When the man's legs touched the ground, the roar of the landing was louder than when the first piece of debris fell to the ground, but the ground was strangely unshaken.

The man's face was extremely solemn, and his whole body was bruised. Every inch of his body could be crushed to pieces by the tremendous pressure at any moment, and the pain pounded into his soul like a churning wave.

The man made a decision in his heart, and he let out a loud shout, but the sound did not come far, but set off an invisible wave, tumbling and spreading in all directions, and where it passed, the sandstorm stopped, and the wind rolled upside down, shocking the panicked soul.

Only then did everyone on the earth calm down from their panic and see the hole in the sky, and the red ball of light that was bigger and brighter than the sun beneath the hole.

The man exhaled the last breath in his chest, and this breath was so long and powerful, that it faintly seemed to lead the surrounding space to let out a low dragon groan.

Then he began to inhale. Not only did he inhale with his body, but the ball of light he condensed was also inhaling, and the light emitted by the ball of light suddenly became dim, as if it was about to become an abyss that devoured all matter.

The ball of light is like a black hole, greedily absorbing everything around it. The suction was so violent that the wind and dust rolled up were even more violent than the previous sandstorms. Whether it was air, water, earth and stones, or human and animal creatures, they were all sucked into the ball of light and disappeared.

Seeing that his own people were also sucked into the ball of light, the man showed a painful expression, and the suction of the ball of light was also paused. But the next moment, the man let out another low roar, and the suction of the ball of light became even more violent.

A sigh came from behind the man, and countless light blue points of light flew out, flying above the heads of the male tribesmen scattered on the ground, turning into an enchantment, wrapping them in clusters, and slowly carrying them to the ground.

In an instant, the color of the ball of light changed from red to earthy yellow, and the entire earth was sucked away with a thick layer of earth and stone.

The man's left hand no longer pinched the trick, but raised it and brought it together with his right hand, and his mouth let out a cry that shocked all things on the earth: "Together!"

The ball of light outside his body tumbled and surged like magma, splitting into two as the man shouted. Half pushed the second piece of the sky shard straight into the pitch-black gap, and the other half went straight to the ground below, spreading out around the man's body, spreading in all directions, and soon condensed into a mountain of optimism spanning nearly 10,000 miles.

When the second fragment is pushed to the top of the firmament, the red-glowing magma rushes into the gap outside the fragment, filling up the part that was completely filled by the lack of the first fragment until the starry sky outside is no longer visible.

At this point, the ball of light turned into a giant pillar that connected the heavens and the earth, and completely repaired the collapsed blue sky. The mysterious man was encased in the giant pillar and was never seen again.

"No!" the violent voice roared again, followed by a series of shocks, as if a giant as tall as the sky was pounding the whole heaven and earth. No matter how hard he thrashed, he could no longer break through the world.

After a long time, the earth shook and the soul-shaking sound in the sky was gone, and the whole world fell into a dead silence.

Looking at the behemoth that connects the earth and the sky in the south, like a giant tree, no one knows if the disaster has really ended, and they don't know if those beings with the power to destroy the world will be punished again.

Many people fell to their knees, prayed and worshipped, and after a long period of self-hypnosis, they finally felt a little calm and peaceful. Many more people are waiting in a daze, unable and unwilling to think, just waiting, waiting for the disaster to end or to strike again.

When a huge cloud of smoke obscured the entire southern heaven and earth, the sun slowly set in the west, and all the soul light points hovering in mid-air dissipated, people believed that the catastrophe was really over.

**

The collapse of the sky, this is a catastrophe experienced by all those who survived, is a fact. But for people hundreds of thousands of years later, the collapse of the sky is a legend.

Time also has the power to destroy the world, it can fill in the gullies with silt, it can lift the ground that has been pulled down in the center of the earth, and it can erase everything that proves that the sky has collapsed.

The only thing that years can't shake may be the Monkey King Pillar. But the clouds that linger all year round can completely cover it.

After thousands of years of unbridled play in the world, people began to wonder if there really was such a Optimus Pillar.

So the collapse of the sky became a legend, just like a drunk man said that his mother-in-law was a fairy, just like Orion occasionally picked up the best soul crystal in a cave, just like a man cultivating immortals to the highest level when his crotch became empty.

But the demon tribe living in the southern demon domain believes that the naïve has collapsed. They believe that when the heavens and the earth were about to be destroyed, their ancestors sacrificed themselves to form a stone pillar that stood up to the heavens and the earth, holding up the entire sky. The whole world has been able to continue to exist because of their ancestors. The clouds that do not disperse all year round are called demon clouds, and they are said to be the flesh and blood of the ancestors of the demon clan. There is a Wuyuan Mountain in the demon clouds, a mountain with a radius of nearly 10,000 miles, and no one has ever climbed to its peak. The demon tribes all believe that Wuyuan Mountain is the stone pillar that their ancestors turned into.

There are also stories about the ancestors of the demon clan among the monks. It's just that in the story, the ancestor of the demon clan arrogantly challenged Tianzun, and even poked a big hole in the sky. Celestial Venerable finally defeated him, extracted his flesh and blood to replenish the sky, and the remaining bones turned into the Heavenly Punishment Pillar to support the broken sky, and his soul is still imprisoned in the Heavenly Punishment Pillar until he atoned for his sins.

The Heavenly Punishment Pillar in the story is Wuyuan Mountain.
